Die Erfindung betrifft Komplexbildner, die neue Organophosphcrverbindungen
bzw. bestimmte Organophosphorverbindungen in synergistischer Kombination mit bestimmten anderen Verbindungen enthalten,

Die Verwendung von Komplexbildnern, die in Lösungen Metallionen zu binden vermögen, wobei sich lösliche Komplexe bilden, ist bei
vielen grosstechnischen Verfahren von Bedeutung, wo sie unerwünschte Fällungsreaktionen unterbinden. Beispielsvreise ist
die komplexartige Bindung von Calcium bei der Wasseraufbereitung und bei der Bereitung von Waschmittellösungen zur Einstellung der
Wasserhärte von Bedeutung. Die Komplexbindung von Schwermetallen, z.B. Kupfer und Nick.el,ist bei der Textilverarbeitung und beim
Reinigen und Fertigbearbeiten von Metallen ein wesentliches Erfordernis.
Es cind jedoch nicht alle Komplexbildner in gleicher Weise wirksam, da ihre Aktivität mit der Struktur und den 3e-

dingungen schwankt, unter denen sie angewendet werden. Beispielsweise
sind die üblichen Komplexbildner auf der Basis voü
Carbonsäuren häufig nicht geeignet, die Ausfällung von Bisen(ni)-
ionen aus alkalischen Lösungen bei einem p^-Wert über 8 zu
verhindern.
Die Zersetzung von v/äs sr igen Wasserstoff peroxidlo'sungen wird
durch Spuren gelöster Metallionen (vorwiegend Cu ,Fe und

Mn ) in der Lösung katalysiert. Die Zugabe von Chelatbildner!!

™ für diese Metalle zu Peroxidlösungen dient daher zur Inaktivierung
der gelösten Spurenmetalle und vermindert deren katalytische Wirkung auf die Peroxidzersetzung.
Aufgabe der Erfindung war es, neue Gemische von Verbindungen, die zur Komplexbindung von Metallionen gut geeignet sind und
bekannten Komplexbildnern überlegen sind, zum Beispiel als hochwirksame Stabilisatoren für v/ässrige Wasserstoffperoxid-,
lösungen, zu schaffen. Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe. Es wurden
neue Komplexbildner gefunden, die neue Verbindungen bzw. bestimmte Organophosphorverbindungen enthalten, die im Gemisch
mit bestimmten anderen Verbindungen eine synergistische Wirkungssteigerung ergeben.
Gegenstand der Erfindung Bind somit Komplexbildner, gekennzeichnet

Als Alkalimetall salze der Hydroxyl- oder Sulfhydrylgruppe Y
werden die Natrium- oder Kaliumsalze bevorzugt.
Die Alkylreste si'nd insbesondere Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl-,
Butyl-, Hexyl- und Decylgruppen. Die Alkoxyreste sind insbesondere
Metboxy-, Propoxy-, Pentoxy- und Dodecyloxygruppen. Zu den
Aralkyiresten gehören insbesondere Monophenylmethyl-, Mononaphthyl-
und Diphenylmethylgruppen, Die Arylreste sind insbesondere Phenyl-, Faphthyl- und Diphenylgruppen. Alkylarylreste sind
insbesondere Tolyl-, 1,4-Diäthylphenyl- und 5-Propylnaphthylgruppen.
Zu den Aryloxyresten gehören insbesondere 1-Hydroxyphenyl-,
1,4-Dihydroxytolyl- und 5-Hydroxynaphthylgruppen. Die
Alkoxyarylreste sind insbesondere methoxy-, äthoxy-, propoxy-
und decyloxysubstituierte Arylreste.
Erfindungsgemäss verwendbare bevorzugte Organοphosphorverbindungen
sind Hexanatriuin-tris-(N,ii-dialkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin,
Hexakalium-tris-CN^-dialkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin,
Tris-(N,N-dialkylcarboxyl-aminoalkyl)-phosphin* Trinatrium-tris-(N-alkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin,
Trikaliumtris-(IT-alkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin
und Tris-(N-alkylcarboxylaminpalkyl)-phoephin.

bei einem p^-Wert von etwa 10 bis 12 ausreichenden Mengen
einer Alkaliverbindung hergestellt, wobei die erhaltene Phosphinverbindung gegebenenfalls in an sich bekannter Y/eise
anschliessend oxydiert bzw. sulfidiert wird. Als Tetrakis-(hy-
droxyalkyl)-phosphoniumsalz kommen beispielsweise und vorzugsweise
Tetrakis-(hydroxymethyl)-phosphoniumacetat, -chlorid, -hydroxid oder -bromid in Frage. Der maximale und kritische
PH-ViTert bei der Umsetzung beträgt etwa 12, weil "pH-Werte oberhalb
12 die Oxydation des Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphoniurasalzes
zum nichtreaktiven Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphinoxid fördern. Bevorzugte ρττ-Werte liegen im Bereich von etwa 10,5
bis 11,5. Ein p„-Wert unter etwa· 10 fördert die Protonierung
der Aminocarbonsäure, wodurch die Umsetzung im wesentlichen beendet
wird. Bei einem anderen Verfahren, das optimale Ausbeuten ergibt, wird eine wässrige lösung des Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphoniumsalzes
im wesentlichen gleichzeitig mit der Zugabe einer wässrigen Ätzalkalilösung zur alkalischen Lösung der
Arainocarbonsäure zugemischt und eingemessen, wodurch der ρττ-Wert
der Aminocarbonsäure im genannten Bereich bleibt. Die Struktur des Endprodukts wird durch die gewählten stöchiometrischen Verhältnisse
der Reaktionsteilnehmer und/oder den Umsetzungsgrad bestimmt, d.h. durch das Ausmass, in dem die Hydroxylgruppen
durch Aminocarboxysäurereste ersetzt werden.

Die vorgenannten drei- und fünfwertigen Organophosphorverbindungen
werden im Gemisch mit anderen Verbindungen al3 Komplexbildner verwendet. Ein Beispiel für einen sehr guten Komplexbildner
ist ein Gemisch der Zusammensetzung der vorgenannten Verbindungen A, D, E und der Verbindung Tris-(hydroxymethyl)-phösphinoxid
(im folgenden "Verbindung K" genannt) in den Mengenverhältnissen a) 45 : 47 ϊ 7 ί 1 Gewichtsprozent oder
b) 35 : 50 : 6 : 9 Gewichtsprozent. Reaktionsgemische dieser
Art können zum Beispiel gemäss dem nachfolgenden Beispiel 1 hergestellt werden.
Die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner können weiterhin übliche Komplexbildner enthalten, wie Trinatrium-nitrilotriäcetat (Verbindung
I), Tetranatriumäthylendiamintetraacetat*(Verbindung H),
Dinatrium-iminodiacetat (Verbindung N), Trinatrium-hydroxyäthyläthylendiamintriacetat
(Verbindung T), Pentanatrium-diäthylentriaminpentaacetat
(Verbindung U),Pentanatrium-nitrilotrimethylenphosphonat
(Verbindung V), Gluconsäure oder Natriumtripolyphosphat (Verbindung W).
Eb wurde weiter gefunden, dass bestimmte Kombinationen von Verbindungen
bei der Komplexbihdung eines Metallkations mit der
Wertigkeit von wenigstens drei, z.B. Chrom(IIlV," Aluminium- ,
Kobalt (H^-, Platin-, Palladium-, Rhodium-, Iridium-,"Ruthenium-,
Osmium-, Zirkonium- öder Hafniumionen, Ionen seltener Erdmetalle*
wie z.B. Gadoliniumionen, Actinidenionen, wie Uraniumionen, und vorzugsweise Eisen (Unionen aus wässrigen Medien einen unerwarteten
Synergismus zeigen. Diese Kombinationen bestehen aus Verbindungen einer ersten Gruppe von Hydroxyalkylphosphorverbin-

düngen, nämlich Tris-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphincn, z.B. Tris-(hydroxymethyl)-phosphin
oder Tris-(hydroxypropyl)-phosphin,

^xydationsgeschwindigkeit mit über einen pg-V/ert 7 steigendem
Alkalinitätsgrad. In gleicher Weise steigt die Zersetzungsgeschwindigkeit
von Tris-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphinen mit über 7 an- · steigenden p^-V/erten. Das Oxydationsprodukt der Tetrakis-{hydroxyalkyl)-phosphorverbindungen
ist das Tris-(hydroxyalkyl )-phosphinoxid„

Die Alkylcarboxylatreste der Aminocarbonsäurereste können 1 bis
etwa 3 Kohlenstoffatome in der Alkylgruppe haben, vorzugsweise jedoch ist der Alkylrest eine Methylgruppe. Die gleichen Bereiche
gelten für die Säureformen der Aminocarbonsäurereste, d.h.
in der allgemeinen Formel III liegt g im Bereich von 1 bis 3, vorzugsweise ist g = 1,
Die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner sind im wesentlichen in organischen Lösungsmitteln, z.B. Alkoholen, chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen
und inerten organischen Lösungsmitteln, z.B. Hexan, unlöslich.
Zu typischen, durch die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner abfangbaren
Ketallionen gehören die Ionen von Eisen, Aluminium, Kupfer,
Nickel, Chrom, Zinn, Blei, Gadolinium, Europium oder Neodym.
Die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner sind ausserdem für andere
Verwendungszwecke geeignet, z.B. als Zusätze zu Detergentien, in Metallreinigungsbädern, bei Farbstofflösungen oder zur Stabilisierung
von Peroxidlösungen.
Gewöhnlich werden die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner in Lösungen
verwendet, deren pji-Wert zwischen etwa 1 und 14 liegt.

Die "bevorzugten p,r-Wert-3ereiche hängen von den als Komplexbildner
verwendeten Verbindungen ab. Zur Korr.plexbindun^: von
Eisen (II])-ionen liegen die bevorzugten Pu-V/erte zwischen etwa
6 und 10 bis 10,5, also unter dem p^-Wert 11. Zur Stabilisierung
von Peroxidlösungen, z.B. Wasserstoffperoxid, ist jedoch ein Pjj-V/ert zwischen^ etwa A und 12 bevorzugt.
Die erfindungsgemässen Komplexbildner können als feste Substanzen oder in Form von lösungen zu Lösungen zugegeben v/erden, in
denen Ionen komplexgebunden werden sollen. Falls man die Verbindungen
als Lösungen verwendet, können sie in -polaren Lösungsmitteln, z.B. Wasser oder Gemischen von Wasser und niederen
Alkanolen mit 1 bis'4 Kohlenstoffatomen, in denen der Alkanolgehalt
bis zu etwa 50 Gewichtsprozent .betrsgt, verwendet werden.
Zur Komplexbildung können die Verbindungen in einer Konzentration von etwa 0,001 bis etwa 25 Gewichtsprozent verwendet werden,
wobei sich die Konzentration (in Gewichtsprozent) wie folgt berechnet:

Vorzugsweise werden die als Komplexbildner zu verwendenden Verbindungen
in Form einer wässrigen Lösung angewendet, insbesondere
in Lösungen aus Wasser oder Wasser mit bie zu 50 Gewichtsprozent eines niederen Alkanols mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen.
Bei der Zugabe der Mittel zu den zu behandelnden Lösungen können die Lösungen eine Temperatur zwischen 0 und 1000C
haben, obwohl bevorzugt ist, dass diese Temperaturen im Bereich von 20 bis etwa 700C liegen, insbesondere bei Umgebungstempera
Die Erfindung wird durch die folgenden Beispiele'näher erläutert.
Es wird eine Anzahl von Organophosphorverbindungen und deren Gemische
hergestellt, ihre Komplexbildungswirkung untersucht und mit der Komplexbildungswirkung handelsüblicher Komplexbildner,
nämlich der vorgenannten'Verbindungen L, M, N, T, U, V und
Gluconsäure verglichen.
2+ Es wird die Komploxbildungswirkung gegenüber Cu wie folgt geprüft:
Eine 0,05-molare CuC^-Lösung wird tropfenweise unter
Rühren in 100 g einer Lösung mit vorgegebenem pH-Wert rait einem
Gehalt von 50 mg des Komplexbildners titriert. Die Titrierung wird unter gleichzeitiger PjT-Wert-Einstellung bis zum Auftreten
eines dauernden Schleiers in der Lösung fortgesetzt. In gleicher
"3+ Weise wird die Komplexbildungswirkung gegenüber Pe geprüft,
nur wird eine 0,5-molare Lösung von FeCl, in 50 g einer Lösung

(Verbindung K) im Gemisch mit anderen Verbindungen erläutert hinsichtlich der Komplexbildungswirkung
auf Fe . Die Gemische sind in Tabelle III angegeben,

Die Gemische 3 bis 8 werden als wässrige Lösungen mit einer Konzentration von 15 bis 50 Gewichtsprozent hergestellt. Die
Gemische 1 und 2 werden im festen Zustand durch Eindampfen der wässrigen Gemische zur Trockne hergestellt.
Zur Untersuchung der Komplexbildungswirkung gegenüber Fe^ wird
wie folgt Verfahrens Eine 0,5-molare Lösung von FeCl, wird
tropfenweise unter Rühren in 50 g einer Lösung eines vorgegebenen pH-Wertes mit einem Gehalt von 0,5 g des gelösten Komplexbildners
eintitriert. Es wird unter gleichzeitiger Einstellung des pjj-Viertes solange titriert, bis die. Lösung einen dauerhaften
Schleier aufweist. Die Komplexbildungawirkung wird ausgedrückt durch

Claims (1)
- Patentansprüche1. Komplexbildner, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an a) einem Tris-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphin, Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphoniumhalogenid, Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl )-phosphoniumhydroxid, einem organischen Tetrakis-(hydroxyalkyl )-phosphoniumsalz und/oder einem Tris-(hydroxyalkyl)-phoephinoxid oder -sulfid, im Gemisch mit b) einer Aminocarbonsäureverbindung, einem kondensierten anorganischen Phosphat und/oder einer Organοphosphorverbindung der allgemeinen FormelnR4 (X1 )b R8R1 - c - p - σ - R2 /^H2o/d (ι)I t IR Λ Τ.3 Rin denen Y eine Hydroxyl- oder Sulfhydrylgruppe oder ein Alkali· metallaalz dieser Gruppen bedeutet, b den Wert 0 oder 1, d den Wert 0, "1, 2 oder 3 UHa d! den Wert ö", 1 oder"2~haT/X1 ein Sauerstoff- oder Schwefelatom ist und R1, R2 und r' eine Hydroxylgruppe und/oder einen Aminocarbonsäurerest der allgemeinen Formel-2098 10/UBt . Komplexbildner nach Anspruoh 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an a) einem Tris-(hydroxyalkyl)-phosphinoxid und b) Hexanatrium-tris-(N,N-dialkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phoBphin, Hexakalium-tris-(N>N-dialkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin,Tris-(H,N-dialkylcarboxylaminoalkyl)-phosphin, Trinatriumtris-(N-alkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-pho3phin, Trikalium-tris-(N-alkylcarboxylatoaminoalkyl)-phosphin oder Tris-(N-alkylcarboxylaminoalkyl)-phosphin als Organophosphorverbindung, in20981Q/U99deren Formel g den -..'ert 1 hat, und/oder einem Tripolyphosphat als kondensiertes anorganisches Phosphat.4.
