Halogenhaltige Polymerisate neigen bekanntlich dazu, sich unter der Einwirkung von Licht und/oder
Wärme zu verfärben. Es ist bekannt, diesen Verfärbungen unter anderem dadurch entgegenzuwirken, daß
man den Polymerisaten schwefelfreie Organozinnverbindungen als Stabilisatoren zusetzt.
Es wurde gefunden, daß schwefelhaltige Organozinnverbindungen den meisten der vorbekannten und
für diesen Zweck verwendeten schwefelfreien Organozinnverbindungen in der Stabilisatorwirkung bei halo- ίο
genhaltigen Polymerisaten überlegen waren.
Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von Organozinnverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel:

in der R und R' gleiche oder verschiedene aliphatische, aromatische oder alicyclische Kohlenwasserstoffreste
sind, SX der Rest eines(r)
a) Esters ein- oder zweibasischer aliphatischer und aromatischer Mercapto- oder Thiosäuren, mit
Ausnahme der Ester von aliphatischen Mercaptomonocarbonsäuren und Glycolen sowie der Diester
aliphatischer Mercaptodicarbonsäuren;
b) Esters von Mercaptoalkoholen und gesättigten und ungesättigten aliphatischen, aromatischen
und acyclischen Monocarbonsäuren, mit Ausnahme der Ester zwischen ein- und mehrwertigen
aliphatischen Mercaptoalkoholen und Monocarbonsäuren ;
c) einbasischen aliphatischen Mercaptans mit 8 bis 18 C-Atomen;
d) mehrbasischen aliphatischen Mercaptans;
e) ein- oder mehrbasischen aromatischen Mercaptans;
f) Mercaptoalkohols;
g) Mercapto- oder Thiosäure und
Z = SX oder ein aliphatischer, aromatischer oder alicyclischer Kohlenwasserstoffrest ist, zum Stabilisieren
halogenhaltiger Polymerisate.
Herstellungsverfahren für diese Verbindungen sind in den Unterlagen der deutschen Patente 1020 331a
und 1 020 331 d beschrieben.

für Ester ein- oder zweibasischer aliphatischer und aromatischer Mercaptosäuren: die Ester der
Thioglycolsäure, wie der Thioglycolsäureäthylester, die Ester der Mercaptopropionsäure, Thiomilchsäure,
Mercaptobuttersäure, Mercaptolaurinsäure, Mercaptomalonsäure und Thiosalicylsäure;
für die einbasischen, aliphatischen Mercaptane: vorzugsweise diejenigen mit 8 bis 18 C-Atomen,
da die mit den niederen Gliedern der Gruppe erhaltenen Organozinnmercaptide wegen ihres penetranten
Geruchs geringe praktische Bedeutung haben;
für aromatische Mercaptane: Thionaphthol, Thiobenzylalkohol, Phenoxyäthyl- und Phenoxyäthoxyäthylmercaptan;
für Mercaptoalkohole: Monothioäthylen- und Monothiopropylenglycol, Thioglycerin und Dithioäthylenglycol.
Die Gruppen R und R' üben in den Verbindungen kaum einen Einfluß auf die Stabilisatorwirkung aus.
Die neuen Stabilisatoren werden in Mengen von 0,1 bis 10 Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 5 Gewichtsprozent,
auf das Gewicht des halogenhaltigen Polymerisats berechnet, angewandt. Sie können allein
oder im Gemisch mit anderen metallhaltigen oder nicht metallhaltigen Stabilisatoren zur Anwendung
kommen, z. B. mit Salzen des Bariums, Strontiums, Calciums, Zinks, Zinns oder anderen Metallen, die
keine gefärbten Sulfide bilden.
Nicht metallhaltige Stabilisatoren, die zusammen mit den Organozinnmercaptoverbindungen verwendet
werden können, sind vor allem solche, die eine oder

mehrere Epoxygruppen enthalten. Aber auch Verbindungen antioxydierender Art, wie substituierte Phenole
oder organische Triester der phosphorigen Säure, können beigemischt werden.
Die neuen Stabilisatoren sind mit beinahe allen gebräuchlichen Weichmachern verwendbar und haben
besondere Vorteile in Verbindung mit solchen Weichmachern, die an sich die Licht- und Wärmestabilität
der halogenhaltigen Polymerisate herabdrücken.

Eine Mischung von 100 Gewichtsteilen Polyvinylchlorid (K-Wert 64), 2,5 Gewichtsteilen epoxydiertem
Sojaöl und 0,75 Gewichtsteilen Dibutylzinndioctylthioglycolat (Herstellung z.B. nach Patent 1020 331a,
Beispiel 2) wurde auf dem Walzwerk 5 Minuten bei 1800C zu einem Fell von 0,5 mm Dicke verarbeitet.

nach Beispiel 1 des Patents 1 020 331 a oder Beispiel 1 des Patents 1020 33Id) wurden in 100 g Dioctyl-
phthalat gelöst und 100 g eines Dispersionspolyvinyl- 15 Probeabschnitte dieses farblosen Walzfells wurden anchlorids
hinzugefügt. Die Mischung wurde durch ein schließend im Trockenschrank bei 180° C gelagert.

Bestrahlung mit UV-Licht ausgesetzt, bis Zersetzung in der R und R' gleiche oder verschiedene aliphatische,
aromatische oder alicyclische Kohlenwasserstoffreste sind, SX der Rest eines(r)
a) Esters ein- oder zweibasischer aliphatischer und aromatischer Mercapto- oder Thiosäuren,
mit Ausnahme der Ester von aliphatischen Mercaptomonocarbonsäuren und Glycolen sowie
der Diester aliphatischer Mercaptodicarbonsäuren;
b) Esters von Mercaptoalkoholen und gesättigten und ungesättigten aliphatischen, aromatischen
und alicyclischen Monocarbonsäuren, mit Ausnahme der Ester zwischen ein- und mehrwertigen
aliphatischen Mercaptoalkoholen und
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verwendung von Organozinnverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel:R'SXeintrat.Alle das Dimercaptid enthaltenden Folien zeigten gute Stabilität und waren nach einer Belichtungsdauer von mehr als 100 Stunden noch nicht verfärbt.4045Beispiel 21,8 g Tributylzinnmonoläurylmercaptid (Herstellung nach Patent 1020 331a, Beispiel 2) wurden zu 100 g eines Vinylchlorid-Acrylnitril-Copolymerisats zügefügt, und die Mischung wurde bei 205° C in einem Kautschukknetwerk verknetet, bis ein gleichmäßiges Fell erhalten war. Von diesem Fell wurden Folien von 0,1 mm Dicke zwischen polierten verchromten Stahlplatten bei 2050C und 650 atm 15 Minuten verpreßt. Die verpreßten steifen Folien waren glasklar und völlig farblos. Ähnliche steife Folien, die unter Zusatz von Tributylzinnacetat als Stabilisator erhalten wurden, waren schon nach dem Kneten leicht verfärbt und zeigten sehr starke Verfärbung beim Pressen.Beispiel 32 g des im Beispiel 1 verwendeten Dibutylzinndilaurylmercaptids wurden in 30 g Di-2-äthylhexylphthalat gelöst, und die Lösung wurde mit Hilfe eines nicht ionisierten Emulgiermittels, z. B. Polyäthylenglycolmonooleat, in 32 g Wasser emulgiert. Die Emulsion wurde dann einem Polyvinylchloridlatex mit 50 % Festgehalt unter langsamem Rühren zugesetzt. Der stabilisierte Latex wurde dann in einer Dicke von etwa 0,02 mm auf ein Gewebe aufgebracht, getrocknet und auf etwa 1650C erhitzt, bis Verfärbung eintrat.
