Die Herstellung von Silanen, die eine reaktive Mercaptangruppe enthalten, bereitet beträchtliche Schwierigkeiten,
da bekannte Reaktionen zur Einführung der Mercaptangruppe in organische Verbindungen allgemein
unter Bedingungen ausgeführt werden, die zu einer Hydrolyse und/oder Polymerisation von Alkoxysilanen
unter Verlust der Reaktivität der Alkoxysilangruppe führen. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren
zur Herstellung von Mercaptoalkylaminoalkylsilanens das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man ein mindestens
einen hydrolysierbaren Rest enthaltendes Aminoalkylsilan mit einem Monothiolcarbonat, einem
organischen Episulfid oder einem Mercaptoalkylalkylcarbonat,
oder ein mindestens einen hydrolysierbaren Rest enthaltendes Hydrogensilan mit einem Mercaptoalkylalkylenamin
in an sich bekannter Weise umsetzt. Mercaptoalkylaminoalkylsilane können aus einem
Aminoalkylsilan und einem organischen Episulfid gemäß folgender Gleichung hergestellt werden:

Umsetzungen nach den Gleichungen (2) und (3) Die Herstellung von Mercaptoalkylaminoalkylsili-
ergeben höhere Ausbeuten als nach Gleichung (1), kanen durch Umsetzung eines mindestens einen

Es ist bekannt, daß das Schwefelatom in der Form Rückfluß erhitzt. Dann wurden 87,4 g (0,84 Mol)
des Mercaptans oder Disulfide eine Affinität für ge- 40 Äthylenmonothiolcarbonat tropfenweise während 15
wisse Kohlenstoff-Wasserstoff-Bindungen und eine Minuten zugesetzt. Nach weiterem Erhitzen unter
Reaktivität mit gewissen funktioneilen Gruppen auf- Rückfluß während 15 Stunden wurden die Reaktions-
weist. Daher werden solche Schwefelatome enthaltende mischung unter vermindertem Druck (bis 0,3 mm)
Verbindungen zur Vulkanisation und für andere Um- destilliert, bis das Lösungsmittel und flüchtige Kom-
setzungen verwendet. Die Verfahrensprodukte sind 45 ponenten entfernt waren,
auch wirksam zur Verbindung von Glas mit reaktive, . .
funktioneile Gruppen enthaltendem Material, wie B e 1 s ρ 1 e 1 4
Epoxyharze, ungesättigte Polyesterharze und Phenol- Es wurden 165 g (C2H5O)Si — H mit 177 g

gemäßen Verbindungen ferner zur Verbesserung der (das sind je 0,13 Mol) in Gegenwart einer sehr kleinen
Anfärbbarkeit von Glasgeweben mit bestimmten Färb- Menge (etwa 0,00025 bis 0,00012 Mol) Kaliumplatinstoffen,
chlorid (K2PtCl4) oder Platinschwarz unter Aufrecht-Die
Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Silane erhaltung einer Temperatur unter 1000C umgesetzt,
erfolgte unter hydrolysierenden Bedingungen. 55 Innerhalb einiger Stunden wird das Produkt als klare
farblose Flüssigkeit in guter Ausbeute erhalten.
Beispiel 1 Um die Adhäsion von mittels einer wäßrigen Lösung
Herstellung von der Produkte des Beispiels 1 bzw. 2 imprägnierten Glas-

43,7 g (0,42 Mol) Äthylenmonothiolcarbonat wurden gewebes zu prüfen, wurden zunächst folgende drei
tropfenweise unter Rühren einer unter Rückfluß sieden- Probestücke hergestellt,
den Lösung von 278 g (1,26 Mol) y-Aminopropyltri- j Probestück
äthoxysilan in 210 mlToluol hinzugefügt. Die Mischung
äthoxysilan in 210 mlToluol hinzugefügt. Die Mischung
wurde unter Rühren weitere 17 Stunden unter Rück- 65 Eine 2°/oige wäßrige Lösung des Produktes des
fluß gekocht und dann das Toluol durch Destillation Beispiels 1 wurde mit Essigsäure auf einen pH-Wert
entfernt. Der Rückstand wurde unter vermindertem von 3,0 eingestellt. Ein Probestück eines Glasfaser-Druck
fraktioniert destilliert; es wurden 92,2 g gewebes wurde mit dieser Lösung imprägniert und in
einem für beschleunigte Trocknung eingerichteten Ofen bei einer Temperatur von etwa 120° C10 Minuten
getrocknet. Die für diesen Versuch verwendete wäßrige Lösung bleibt frei von Niederschlag, auch nachdem sie
1 Woche bei Zimmertemperatur aufbewahrt war.
2. Probestück
Eine 2°/0ige Lösung des Produktes des Beispiels 1 in
Xylol wurde mit Essigsäure auf einen pH-Wert von 3,0 eingestellt. Ein Probestück eines Glasfasergewebes
wurde mit der Lösung imprägniert und 10 Minuten lang bei etwa 120° C getrocknet.
3. Probestück
Ein Probestück eines Glasgewebes wurde mit einer 20/0igen Lösung des Produktes des Beispiels 2 in Xylol
imprägniert und 10 Minuten bei etwa 120° C getrocknet.
Die Adhäsion der Probestücke 1, 2 und 3 an natürlichem Gummi (mit Schwefel gehärtet) wurde wie
folgt geprüft: Die Probestücke wurden mit einer Standard-Gummimischung behandelt, 20 Minuten
bei etwa 153°C gehärtet und dann Streifen der gummierten Probestücke einer Abschäl- und Abhebeprüfung
unterworfen. Diese Prüfung war eine Modifikation der Prüfung der Adhäsion von Gummi an
Gummi, wie sie als ASTM-Prüfmethode B-413-39 bekannt ist. Bei der modifizierten Prüfung wurde die
Glasgewebeprobe zwischen Gummiflächen verformt. Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in der nachstehenden
Tabelle zusammengestellt:

Durch diese Ergebnisse wird die hervorragende Adhäsion der Glasgewebe-Probestücke 1, 2 und 3 gezeigt.
Die Anfärbbarkeit der Glasgewebe-Probestücke 1 und 2 wurde durch Anfärben mit je2°/0 der folgenden
Farbstoffe geprüft:

Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von Mercaptoalkylaminoalkylsilanen, dadurchgekennzeic hn e t, daß man ein mindestens einen hydrolysierbaren Rest enthaltendes Aminoalkylsilan mit einem Monothiolcarbonat, einem organischen Episulfid oder einem Mercaptoalkylkylalcarbonat, oder ein mindestens einen hydrolysoerbaren Rest enthaltendes Hydrogensilan mit einem Mercaptoalkylalkylenamin in an sich bekannter Weise umsetzt.In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften: Noil, Chemie und Technologie der Silicone (1960),S. 89/90;
