Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung von neuen (Thio)Phosphonsäureestern, welche überlegene insektizide
Eigenschaften aufweisen.
Es wurde gefunden, daß man (Thio)Phosphonsäureester erhält, wenn man Alkylphosphonigsäuredichloride
der allgemeinen Formel

umsetzt, wobei in vorstehend genannten Formeln R einen bevorzugt niederen Alkyl- und Alk einen
Alkylenrest bedeutet, während Ri für einen gegebenenfalls durch eine niedere Alkylmercaptogruppe
substituierten Alkylrest oder einen Cycloalkyl-, Aralkyl- oder Arylrest steht.
Bei der Durchführung der erfindungsgemäßen Reaktion ist es nicht erforderlich, die als Zwischenprodukte
entstehenden Alkylphosphonigsäure-Ο,Ο- bzw. -O,S-diester in Substanz zu isolieren; vielmehr
wird das Produkt der Umsetzung von Alkylphos-
ao phonigsäure-O-chloralkylestermonochloriden und Alkoholen
bzw. Phenolen bzw. Mercaptanen zweckmäßig sofort weiter mit Wasserstoffperoxyd oder
Schwefel zur Reaktion gebracht.
Die als Ausgangsmaterialien für das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren benötigten Alkylphosphonigsäure-O-chloralkylesterchloride können außer auf dem bereits erwähnten Wege (d. h. durch Umsetzung von Alkylenoxyden mitAlkylphosphonigsäuredichloriden) auch durch Einwirkung von Alkylenchlorhydrinen auf die genannten Phosphonigsäurederivate hergestellt werden.
Die als Ausgangsmaterialien für das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren benötigten Alkylphosphonigsäure-O-chloralkylesterchloride können außer auf dem bereits erwähnten Wege (d. h. durch Umsetzung von Alkylenoxyden mitAlkylphosphonigsäuredichloriden) auch durch Einwirkung von Alkylenchlorhydrinen auf die genannten Phosphonigsäurederivate hergestellt werden.
Zwecks Erzielung guter Ausbeuten und Gewinnung reiner Produkte ist es zweckmäßig, die Reaktionskomponenten bei schwach erhöhter Temperatur um-
zusetzen und außerdem das Reaktionsgemisch zur Vervollständigung der Umsetzung anschließend noch
einige Zeit nachzuerhitzen. Ferner hat sich die Verwendung von Lösungsmitteln als vorteilhaft erwiesen.
Besonders bewährt haben sich für diesen Zweck Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie z. B. Benzol.
Die Verfahrensprodukte stellen ölige, zum Teil wasserlösliche Flüssigkeiten dar, die im Hochvakuum
ohne Zersetzung destillierbar sind. Sie zeichnen sich durch eine hervorragende insektizide Wirkung, insbesonders
gegen Spinnmilben und Blattläuse, aber auch gegen fressende Insekten (z. B. Raupen) aus
und besitzen darüber hinaus auch ovizide und systemische Wirksamkeit.
Aus diesem Grunde sollen die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhältlichen Verbindungen
als Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel, vor allem im Pflanzenschutz Verwendung finden.

Verbindungen, welche den erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Verbindungen in ihrer Konstitution ähnlich
sind, sind bereits bekannt geworden (vgl. zum Beispiel deutsche Auslegeschriften 1032247,1057112,
1 089 381 und 1 099 534 sowie USA.-Patentschrift
2 668 842). Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen Verbindungen weisen jedoch gegenüber den vorbekannten
Verbindungen überlegene insektizide Eigenschaften auf, wie aus der nachfolgenden Tabelle
hervorgeht, in welcher erfindungsgemäße Verbindüngen mit den nächststehenden vorbekannten
Verbindungen verglichen werden.

Man löst 50 g Pyridin und 53 g ß-Äthylmercaptoäthanol
in 400 ecm Benzol, tropft zu dieser Lösung unter Rühren bei 30 bis 4O0C 88 g (0,5 Mol) Äthylphosphonigsäure-O-ß-chloräthylesterchlorid,
rührt die Mischung anschließend noch 1 Stunde und versetzt sie dann mit 16 g feingepulvertem Schwefel,
wobei die Temperatur des Reaktionsgemisches von selbst auf 500C ansteigt. Zur Vervollständigung der
Umsetzung wird die Mischung noch 1 Stunde auf 75 bis 8O0C erhitzt und dann, wie im Beispiel Ib
beschrieben, aufgearbeitet. Man erhält 81 g (59% der Theorie) Äthylthionophosphonsäure-O-ß-chloräthyl-O-(/?-äthylmercaptoäthyl)-ester
vom Kp.001 98°C.
An der Ratte per os zeigt die Verbindung eine mittlere Giftigkeit (DLso) von 5 mg je Kilogramm
Tier. Spinnmilben werden von 0,001 %igen und Blattläuse von 0,01%igen Lösungen des Esters
100%ig abgetötet. Das Präparat ist außerdem ovizid wirksam und zeigt gute systemische Eigenschaften.
131 g (1 Mol) Äthylphosphonigsäuredichlorid werden in 1000 ecm Benzol gelöst. Zu dieser Lösung ίο
tropft man bei 0 bis 100C unter Rühren ein Gemisch
aus 81 g Glykolchlorhydrin und 80 g Pyridin, rührt das Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 1 Stunde und
saugt dann das entstandene Pyridiniumhydrochlorid ab. Nach Verdampfen des Benzols aus dem Filtrat
werden 150 g (86% der Theorie) Äthylphosphonigsäure-O-jS-chloräthylesterchlorid
in Form einer farblosen wasserunlöslichen Verbindung erhalten.

Zu einer Lösung von 50 g Pyridin und 61 g lö-Äthylmercapto-äthylmercaptan in 400 ecm Benzol
tropft man unter Rühren bei 30 bis 400C 88 g
(0,J Mol) Äthylphosphonigsäure - O - β - chloräthylesterchlorid,
rührt die Mischung danach noch 1 Stunde bei 30 bis 35°C und versetzt sie anschließend
unter weiterem Rühren mit 50 g 37%igem Wasserstoffperoxyd. Darauf wird das Reaktionsgemisch eine weitere Stunde nachgerührt, dann mit
einer 3%igen Natriumbikarbonatlösung gewaschen, mit Natriumsulfat getrocknet und schließlich fraktioniert
destilliert. Man erhält auf diese Weise 44 g (32% der Theorie) Äthylphosphonsäure-O-^-chloräthyl
- S - (ß - äthylmercaptoäthyl) - ester vom Kp.o 01 106°C.
Die mittlere Toxizität der Verbindung beträgt an der Ratte per os 3 mg je Kilogramm Tier. Spinnmilben
werden mit 0,01%igen Lösungen des Esters 100%ig abgetötet, während 0,001 %ige Lösungen
Blattläuse noch zu 80% vernichteten.

In eine Lösung von 50 g Pyridin und 53 g ß-Äthylmercaptoäthanol
in 400 ecm Benzol tropft man unter Durchleiten von Stickstoff bei 300C 88 g
(0,5 Mol) Äthylphosphonigsäure-jö-chloräthylesterchlorid
ein, erwärmt die Mischung anschließend 1 Stunde auf 400C, und versetzt sie dann unter
weiterem Rühren mit 50 g 37%igem Wasserstoffperoxyd. Nach Beendigung der Zugabe wird die
Mischung eine weitere Stunde auf 35 0C erwärmt und dann wie im Beispiel Ib aufgearbeitet. Man erhält
auf diese Weise 39 g (30% der Theorie) Äthylphosphonsäure-O-/S-chloräthyl-O-(/?-äthylmercaptoäthyl)-ester
vom Kp.0,01 96°C in Form eines wasserlöslichen
Öles.
Die mittlere Toxizität der Verbindung beträgt 375 mg je Kilogramm Ratte bei oraler Applikation.

50 g Pyridin und 61 g ^-Äthylmercaptoäthylmercaptan werden in 400 ecm Benzol gelöst. Zu der
erhaltenen Lösung fügt man unter Rühren bei 400C
88 g (0,5 Mol) Athylphosphonigsäure-^-chloräthylesterchlorid,
erwärmt die Mischung 1 Stunde auf 400C und trägt dann 16 g feingepulverten Schwefel
ein. Anschließend wird das Reaktionsgemisch eine weitere Stunde auf 8O0C erhitzt, und dann arbeitet
man es wie im Beispiel Ib auf. Man erhält 82 g (56% der Theorie) Äthylthionophosphonsäure-0-/3-chloräthyl-S-(^-äthylmercaptoäthyl)-ester
vom Kp.0,01 103° C. Mittlere Giftigkeit der Verbindung
an der Ratte per os 5 mg je Kilogramm Tier. Spinnmilben werden von 0,001 %igen, fressende Insekten
(Raupen) von 0,l%igen Lösungen 100%ig abgetötet. Das Präparat ist außerdem ovizid wirksam
und zeigt auch systemische Wirkung.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH:Verfahren zur Herstellung von (Thio)Phosphonsäureestern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man Alkylphosphonigsäuredichloride der allgemeinen Formel-ClR —P(mit Alkylenoxyden oder Alkylenchlorhydrinenzu den entsprechenden Alkylphosphonigsäure-O-chloralkylestermonochloriden der FormelR —PO —Alk —Cl
Clumsetzt, letztere mit Alkoholen, Phenolen oder Mercaptanen der allgemeinen FormelHORi(S)zur Reaktion bringt und die entstandenen Alkylphosphonigsäure-Ο,Ο- bzw. -O,S-diester der Formel-0 —Alk —ClR —PC(Thio)Phosphonsäureestern der allgemeinen FormelO(S)■Ο — Alk — ClR —P<(S)—Riumsetzt, wobei in vorstehend genannten Formeln R einen bevorzugt niederen Alkyl- und Alk einen Alkylenrest bedeutet, während Ri für einen gegebenenfalls durch eine niedere Alkylmercaptogruppe substituierten Alkylrest oder einen Cycloalkyl-, Aralkyl- oder Arylrest steht.(S)—Rizweckmäßig ohne vorherige Gewinnung anschließend mit Wasserstoifperoxyd bzw.
