一般,本公开提供用于提高无线异构网中的用户设施(UE)移动性的装置和方法,所述无线异构网例如是包括宏小区和小型小区的LTE或LTE-A网络。UE(例如移动设备)可配有位置电路,它允许确定相对于检测和标识的小区的运动,例如离开和进入。UE可将该运动或接近信息发送至演进节点B(eNB)基站,并且该信息可协助eNB进行UE从一个小区至另一个切换。eNB可被配置成维持相邻小区的数据库,并且该数据库可包括每个小区的“使用类型”,其中使用类型指示该小区是用于容量增强还是覆盖增强。

图6示出LTE或LTE-A MeasConfig数据结构610,该数据结构610包括已有的s-测量数据字段620。在一些实施例中,可提供额外的s测量字段、s测量加(s-Measure-add)630。UE 114可根据每个相邻小区的使用类型施加s测量620或s测量加630。例如,如果相邻小区的使用是容量类型,若服务小区RSRP低于s测量加630,则可执行该小区的测量。如果相邻小区的使用是覆盖类型或者该使用未被规定或配置,若服务小区RSRP低于s测量620,则可执行该小区的测量。替代地,可对每个频率载波提供这种使用。在这种情形下,如果测量对象中的频率载波的使用是容量,若服务小区RSRP低于s测量加630,则可执行对频率载波中的相邻小区的测量。如果测量对象中的频率载波的使用是覆盖或者该使用未被规定或配置,若服务小区RSRP低于s测量620,则可执行对频率载波中的相邻小区的测量。
提供触发时间参数以避免测量报告的频繁触发。图7示出LTE或LTE-AReportConfigEUTRA数据结构710,该数据结构710可以是RRC消息的一部分,RRC消息包括已有的触发时间字段720。触发时间参数定义一持续时间,在此期间UE 114可在测量报告事件发生后发送测量报告。在一些实施例中,可提供附加的触发时间字段、触发时间加730。例如,如果相邻小区的使用是容量类型的,则可使用触发时间加值来确定是否满足触发条件。否则,如果使用是覆盖类型或者使用未被规定或配置,则可使用触发时间值来确定是否满足触发条件。
图8示出与本公开一致的另一示例性实施例的系统图800。在异构无线网100中,许多小型小区806、808、810可位于同一地理区域内,例如室内环境,诸如簇A 802。这些小型小区可配置有共同的小区ID,在这种情形下小区ID=1。另外示出第二簇,即簇B 804,它包括全部共享同一小区ID=2的小型小区812、814、816。
在这种情形下,相同的CRS可在小型小区簇内的全部小型小区中传输。由于这些小型小区具有相同的小区ID,因此可从同一簇内的多个小区发送相同的主同步信号(PSS)、次同步信号(SSS)和/或CRS。UE基于CRS执行信号测量,所述CRS用于如前所述的移动性和/或接近性指示。在一些实施例中,为了减缓频率间小区检测复杂性,可相比已有LTE CRS发送密度以较低的密度发送CRS。例如,CRS可以每5ms或10ms间隔被发送。为了利用这种较粗略的周期性,eNB可为UE提供信息以标识其中发送CRS的子帧,由此允许UE使用比已有的6ms LTE测量间隙长度更短的测量间隙长度。这提高了效率,因为UE接收机负有较短时间周期的测量功能。
图9示出与本公开一致的另一示例性实施例的系统图900。在异构无线网100的这个例子中,每个簇中的小型小区具有唯一的小区ID但这些小区ID在其它簇中被复制。例如,簇A 902具有小型小区906、908、910,其小区ID为1、2和3,而簇B具有小型小区912、914、916,其小区ID同样为1、2和3。这种方法有益于避免物理层小区ID的短缺并且如果提供簇标识,则可解决簇之间的小区ID的冲突或含糊性。这种部署也有益于增加小区再划分,然而,这可能造成小区之间的切换增加。另外,UE需要检测的小型小区数不同于前面结合图8描述的前述情形。为了解决这个问题,一些实施例可采用共同探索信号,该共同探索信号可从簇内的多个小型小区发送。UE可被配置成基于该探索信号执行最初信号测量。当检测到探索信号并向eNB报告时,eNB可为每个小区配置唯一的虚拟小区ID。共同的探索信号可以是PSS、SSS或CRS,它是通过成为簇ID的虚拟小区ID产生的。每个小区也可为小区特定测量发送小区特定CRS或信道状态信息基准信号(CSI-RS)。
在一些网络配置中,例如为了增加容量,可将小型小区部署在与宏小区不同的频率下。在这种情形下,UE需要执行频率间测量以检测这些小型小区。为了降低成本,许多UE没有双信道接收机,该双信道接收机可允许同时地检测两个不同频率的信道。为此,这些UE则是使用测量间隙以在时间上切换频率,以确保当信息将被丢失在UE时服务小区在测量间隙不向UE发送。然而,对频率间测量使用测量间隙导致增加的UE功耗和中断时间,这减少了UE吞吐量。作为一种替代,一些小型小区eNB可具有双RF接收机,它能检测小型小区载波频率和宏小区UE上行链路信号两者。为了支持这个操作,宏小区可能需要对由宏小区服务的UE发送小区特定探测基准信号(SRS)配置信息和UE特定SRS配置信息。替代地,小型小区可仅基于小区特定SRS配置执行盲点检测。当小型小区检测到SRS前同步码时,小型小区可将测量报告发送给宏小区。
可在测量报告中发送的信息包括检测的UE标识和SRS的接收信噪比(SNR)。如果小型小区不提供UE特定的SRS配置,则小型小区可发送检测到的SRS序列和检测到的子帧作为UE标识的替代物。
图10示出与本公开一致的一示例性实施例的操作1000的流程图。在操作1010,从与UE的服务小区关联的eNB接收使用信息。使用信息关联于UE的相邻小区并指示相邻小区是容量类型小区还是覆盖类型小区。在操作1020,RSRP是从eNB接收的。在操作1030,确定与相邻小区关联的RSRP阈值。RSRP阈值基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息。在操作1040,基于RSRP与RSRP阈值的比较在相邻小区上执行信号测量。
图11示出与本公开一致的一个示例性实施例的平台配置1100。平台1110可以是移动通信设备,例如UE设备(智能电话)、平板电脑、膝上计算设备或被配置成发送或接收无线信号的任何其它设备。在一些实施例中,平台1110可包括处理器1120、存储器1130、输入/输出(I/O)系统1140、显示器/键盘或其它类型的用户接口(UI)1170,例如触摸屏。平台1110可进一步包括基带处理模块1150和RF处理模块1160以及一个或多个天线180,所述天线1180可形成多输入多输出(MIMO)天线系统的一部分。任何数量的平台1100可在无线网络上通过RF模块1160和天线180发送或接收信号,所述无线网络可以是LTE或LTE-A无线网络。
本文描述的方法的实施例可实现在包括一个或多个存储介质的系统中,所述一个或多个存储介质上单独或结合地存储有指令,当该指令被一个或多个处理器执行时执行这些方法。这里,处理器可包括例如系统CPU(例如核处理器)和/或可编程电路。由此,旨在使根据本文描述的方法的操作可跨多个物理设备分布,例如在若干不同物理位置的处理结构。另外,旨在使方法操作可单独地或在子组合中执行,如本领域内技术人员将能理解的那样。因此,不是每个流程图中的所有操作都需要被执行,并且本公开明显地意图允许这些操作的所有子组合,如本领域内技术人员将能理解的那样。
存储介质可包括任何类型的有形介质,例如包括软盘、光盘、紧凑盘只读存储器(CD-ROM)、可重写紧凑盘(CD-RW)、数字多功能盘(DVD)以及磁光盘的任何类型的盘;诸如只读存储器(ROM)、诸如动态和静态RAM之类的随机存取存储器(RAM)、可擦可编程只读存储器(EPROM)、电可擦可编程只读存储器(EEPROM)、闪存之类的半导体器件;磁卡或光卡;或适合于存储电子指令的任何类型的介质。
如本文任何实施例中使用的“电路”可单独或以任意组合地包括例如存储可由可编程电路执行的指令的硬连线电路、可编程电路、状态机电路和/或固件。应用可体现为可在诸如主机处理器的而变成电路或其它可编程电路上执行的代码或指令。如本文中任何实施例中使用的模块可体现为电路。电路可体现为集成电路,例如集成电路芯片。
因此,本公开提供用于提高无线异构网中的UE移动性的装置和方法。
根据一个方面,提供一种UE。UE可包括位置确定模块,其被配置成相对于多个小区中的一个或多个小区确定与UE关联的位置信息,并且所述多个小区形成无线异构网的一部分。本例的UE也可包括处理电路,其被配置成产生辅助消息,该辅助消息包括与所述UE关联的位置信息。该例的UE可进一步包括发射机电路,该发射机电路被配置成向与多个小区中的一个关联的eNB发送RRC消息,该RRC消息包括辅助消息。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且位置确定模块被进一步配置成基于从包括GPS信号、接收的小区ID和接收的WiFi SSID的组中选取的接收信号来确定UE的位置。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且位置信息进一步包括UE从多个小区中的第一小区朝向多个小区中的第二小区的运动的指示。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且辅助消息进一步包括优选的小区载波频率。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且辅助消息进一步包括优选的PCI。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且进一步包括耦合至处理电路的存储器、耦合至处理电路的I/O系统以及耦合至I/O系统的触摸屏显示器。
根据另一方面,提供一种UE。UE可包括接收机电路,其被配置成接收相对于UE的相邻小区的列表,从提供服务的eNB接收的NCL,提供服务的eNB为UE提供服务。该例的UE也可包括处理器电路,其被配置成从NCL提取使用信息,该使用信息关联于NCL的相邻小区,该使用信息包括容量类型小区使用指示符和覆盖类型小区使用指示符。该例的UE可进一步包括信号测量电路,该信号测量电路被配置成基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息执行相邻小区信号测量。
另一例的UE包括上述组件,并且信号测量电路被进一步配置成响应提供服务的eNB的RSRP降至一阈值以下而执行相邻小区信号测量,该阈值基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并进一步包括发射机电路,其被配置成在测量报告事件发生后的一时间周期内向提供服务的eNB报告相邻小区信号测量,该时间周期基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且NCL被包括在RRC消息的MeasObjectEutra信息要素中,该RRC消息是从提供服务的eNB接收的。
另一例的UE包括上述组件并且NCL被包括在从提供服务的eNB接收的系统信息块中。
根据另一方面,提供一种UE。UE可包括被配置成从提供服务的eNB接收数据,该提供服务的eNB为UE提供服务,该数据标识与从第一相邻小区发送的CRS关联的子帧。本例的接收机可进一步配置成从第一相邻小区接收CRS,其中CRS包括第一小区ID,并且一个或多个其它相邻小区发送包括第二小区ID的CRS,第二小区ID等于第一小区ID。本例的UE也可包括信号测量电路,其被配置成在与从第一相邻小区发送的CRS关联的标识子帧上执行信号测量。

根据另一方面,提供一种eNB收发机。eNB可包括被配置成维持NCL的处理电路,NCL包括与相邻小区关联的使用信息,该使用信息指示容量类型小区使用和覆盖类型小区使用。该例的eNB也可包括发射机电路,其被配置成将NCL发送至与eNB关联的提供服务的小区中的一个或多个UE,使用信息确定通过UE产生的小区信号策略报告的时序。本例的发射机电路可进一步配置成将CRS子帧标识发送至UE,该UE被配置成在CRS子帧上执行信号测量。
另一例eNB包括上述组件并且多个小区发送包括同一小区ID的CRS。
另一例eNB包括上述组件并进一步包括双重接收机电路,该双重接收机电路被配置成测量与相邻小型小区关联的第一频率载波以及与相邻宏小区关联的第二频率载波。
另一例eNB包括上述组件并且发射机电路进一步被配置成发送SRS和UE特定SRS。
根据另一方面,提供一种方法。该方法可包括从与UE的提供服务的小区关联的eNB接收与UE的相邻小区关联的使用信息,该使用信息指示容量类型单元使用和覆盖类型单元使用。本例的方法也可包括从eNB接收RSRP。该例的方法可进一步包括确定与相邻小区关联的RSRP阈值,该RSRP阈值基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息。本例的方法可进一步包括基于RSRP与RSRP阈值的比较在相邻小区上执行信号测量。
另一例的方法包括上述操作并进一步包括在测量报告事件发生后的一时间周期内向提供服务的小区报告相邻小区信号测量,该时间周期基于与相邻小区关联的使用信息。
另一例方法包括上述操作并进一步包括确定UE相对于小区的运动,该运动包括UE离开第一小区和UE进入第二小区;以及将RRC消息从UE发送至eNB,所述RRC消息包括运动确定。
另一例方法包括上述操作并且运动确定基于所接收的GPS信号、所接收的小区ID和/或所接收的WiFi SSID。
另一例方法包括上述操作并进一步包括从eNB接收数据,该数据标识CRS的子帧,其中多个小区发送包括同一小区ID的CRS;以及在CRS的子帧上执行信号测量。
另一例方法包括上述操作并进一步包括基于从小区发送的探索信号,该探索信号包括PSS、SSS和/或CRS,执行信号测量。
根据另一方面,提供一种其上存储有指令的计算机可读存储介质,所述指令当由处理器执行时导致提高前述异构网中的UE移动性的操作。

Claims (20)

1.用户设施(UE),包括:
位置确定模块,其被配置成相对于多个小区中的一个或多个小区确定与所述UE关联的位置信息,并且所述多个小区形成无线异构网的一部分;
处理电路,其被配置成产生辅助消息,所述辅助消息包括与所述UE关联的所述位置信息;以及
发射机电路,其被配置成发送无线电资源控制(RRC)消息至与所述多个小区中的一个小区关联的演进节点B(eNB),所述RRC消息包含所述辅助消息。
2.如权利要求1所述的UE,其特征在于,所述位置确定模块被进一步配置成基于接收的信号确定所述UE的位置,其中所述接收的信号是GPS信号、接收的小区ID和/或接收的WiFi SSID。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的UE,其特征在于,所述位置信息进一步包括所述UE从所述多个小区中的第一小区朝向所述多个小区中的第二小区移动的指示。
4.如权利要求1或2所述的UE,其特征在于,所述辅助消息进一步包括优选的小区载波频率。

6.如权利要求1-5中任何一项所述的UE,其特征在于,还包括耦合至所述处理电路的存储器、耦合至所述处理电路的输入/输出(I/O)系统以及耦合至所述I/O系统的触摸屏显示器。
7.用户设施(UE),包括:
接收机电路,其被配置成接收相对于所述UE的相邻小区的列表,所述相邻小区列表(NCL)接收自提供服务的eNB,所述提供服务的eNB为所述UE提供服务;
处理电路,其被配置成从所述NCL提取使用信息,所述使用信息关联于所述NCL的所述相邻小区,所述使用信息包括容量类型小区使用指示符和覆盖类型小区使用指示符;以及
信号测量电路,其被配置成基于与所述相邻小区关联的所述使用信息执行相邻小区信号测量。
8.如权利要求7所述的UE,其特征在于,所述信号测量电路被进一步配置成响应于所述提供服务的eNB的基准信号接收功率(RSRP)落在阈值之下而执行所述相邻小区信号测量,所述阈值基于与所述相邻小区关联的所述使用信息。
9.如权利要求8所述的UE,其特征在于,还包括发射机电路,其被配置成在测量报告事件发生后的一时间周期内向所述提供服务的eNB报告所述相邻小区信号测量,所述时间周期基于与所述相邻小区关联的所述使用信息。
10.如权利要求7或8所述的UE,其特征在于,所述NCL被包括在从所述提供服务的eNB接收的RRC消息的MeasObjectEutra信息要素中。
11.如权利要求7或8所述的UE,其特征在于,所述NCL被包括在从所述提供服务的eNB接收的系统信息块中。
12.用户设施(UE),包括:
接收机电路,其被配置成从提供服务的eNB接收数据,所述提供服务的eNB向所述UE提供服务,所述数据标识子帧,所述子帧与从第一相邻小区发送的小区特定基准信号(CRS)关联;
所述接收机进一步被配置成从所述第一相邻小区接收所述CRS,其中所述CRS包括第一小区ID,并且一个或多个其它相邻小区发送包括第二小区ID的CRS,所述第二小区ID等于所述第一小区ID;并且信号测量电路被配置成在与从所述第一相邻小区发送的所述CRS关联的所述标识子帧上执行信号测量。
13.如权利要求12所述的UE,其特征在于,所述CRS以5微秒至10微秒的近似范围内的周期发送。
14.如权利要求12或13所述的UE,其特征在于,所述信号测量电路被进一步配置成基于从小区传来的探索信号执行信号测量,其中所述探索信号是主同步信号(PSS)、次同步信号(SSS)和/或CRS。

17.一种演进节点B(eNB)收发机,包括:
处理电路,其被配置成维持相邻小区列表(NCL),所述NCL包括与所述相邻小区关联的使用信息,所述使用信息指示容量类型小区使用和覆盖类型小区使用;
发射机电路,其被配置成将所述NCL发送至与所述eNB关联的提供服务的小区中的一个或多个UE,所述使用信息确定由所述UE产生的小区信号测量报告的时序;以及
所述发射机电路进一步被配置成将CRS子帧标识发送给所述UE,所述UE被配置成在所述CRS子帧上执行信号测量。
18.如权利要求17所述的eNB,其特征在于,多个小区发送包括同一小区ID的CRS。
19.如权利要求17或18所述的eNB,其特征在于,还包括双重接收机电路,所述双重接收机电路被配置成测量与相邻小型小区关联的第一频率载波以及与相邻宏小区关联的第二频率载波。
20.如权利要求17-19中任何一项所述的eNB,其特征在于,所述发射机电路被进一步配置成发送小区特定探测基准信号(SRS)和UE特定SRS。
