背景技术
塞子、球、飞镖状件等等用在钻井和完井工业中,用于各种工具和组件的致动。一般地,所述塞子位于支座中,阻止流体流经通道并能够在两侧形成压差以用于致动工具或组件。在致动工具或组件之后,通常希望移除产生的障碍物。因此在可选择性移除的塞子和塞子支座方面的进步是工业上乐于接受的。
发明内容
一种致动系统和方法,该系统包括限定通道的管件和与所述管件一起布置的组件,该组件包括以可操作方式布置成接收用于实现组件致动的限制件的限制座,该限制座包括上面具有保护层的可消除材料,该可消除材料在接触通道中的流体之后移除并且所述保护层将可移除材料与所述流体隔离。

具体实施方式
这里参照附图通过示例和非限制方式介绍所披露装置和方法的一个或多个实施方式的详细描述。
现参见图1,示出了一种系统10,其包括具有多个端口14的管件12。这些端口14通过使用组件16可选择性打开,所述组件16包括可以由限制件20致动的套筒18。即,通过使所述限制件20坐放在用所述套筒18布置的限制座22处,所述限制件20阻止流体流过通道24。在示出的实施方式中,限制件20为球的形式,所述限制座22为支座的形式,不过这些并不是认为是限制性的,正如下面讨论的。通道24的阻塞能够在限制件20两侧形成压差,用于将套筒18从其中所述端口14封闭的初始或下送位置(如图1中所示)推到其中所述端口14打开的致动位置,如图2中所示。
所述组件16可以用在压裂操作或类似操作中。所述限制件20可以是球、飞镖状件、塞子等任何类型,其坐放在限制座22处用于阻止流体流动并能够形成压差。所述限制件20可以替代性地是某些其他元件(比如筒夹、飞镖状件等)——其至少部分地阻止流体流过通道24并至少暂时由限制座22快速接收,以用于当限制件通过限制座22时在限制座22上施加力。类似地,这里讨论的限制座22或者任何其他限制座可以是完全的或者部分的环、套筒、杯等等,或者是能够至少部分限制其相应通道例如通道24的任何其他构件。同样地,该组件16可以用通过使用限制件触发、致动、移位、移动、打开、封闭等(统称为“致动”)的任何其他工具或组件替换。因此可以意识到本发明并不仅仅局限于端口控制组件或者压裂操作。可以使用释放构件,比如筒夹、剪切螺钉等来将套筒18保持在初始位置,直到在限制件20两侧形成压差以克服释放构件。
在套筒18致动之后,限制座22将会被移除。即,所述限制座22包括在接触井下流体之后可移除的芯26。“可移除”旨在意味着所述芯26是可分解的、可溶解的、可弱化的、可腐蚀的、可消耗的或者以其他方式而可移除的。应该理解的是术语“移除”或者其任何形式在这里的使用都有所叙述的意思。例如,所述芯26可以由镁、铝、下面更详细描述的可控电解金属材料等制成,并且在接触井下可获得的或可传送至井下的一种或多种流体之后可移除,比如水、盐水、酸、油等等。通过使所述芯26接触特殊的井下流体,可以移除限制座22而无需介入式的成本高或者耗时的操作,比如研磨。此外,通过将所述芯26移除,限制件20将从限制座22释放并且进一步沿着所述通道24移动。例如,因此可以使用单个限制件来沿着管件12的长度或其中安装所述管件12的管柱的长度来依序地致动多个支座、套筒、组件、工具等等(统称为“组件”)。例如,可以使用单个限制件来在压裂操作中致动多个端口组件。
在限制件20遇到限制座22用于致动组件16之前,可以预见到限制座22会接触到各种井下流体。在致动组件16之前接触井下流体将无法致动组件16。即,没有限制座22的话,限制件20将不会实现坐放或以其他方式受到干涉,从而压力将不能施加到限制件20两侧或者施加到限制件20上以用于致动组件16。因此,可移除芯26包括保护层28。例如,通过由相对于井下流体具有抵抗力、惰性、呈钝态、不发生反应等的材料制造所述保护层28,该保护层28将暂时保护可移除芯26。保护层28可以例如由覆层、聚合物、热固性材料、热塑性材料、弹性体、树脂、环氧树脂等制成。除了化学保护之外,所述层28还可以给所述芯26赋予额外的机械强度或者耐久性来防止所述芯26受到冲击或腐蚀。所述层28基于所用的材料、希望赋予所述芯26的特性等等可以具有任何厚度。
在图1和2的实施方式中,保护层28不完全包围或封装所述芯26。即,所述芯26包括没有由保护层28覆盖的未被保护的区域30。沟槽32从未被保护的区域30延伸穿过所述套筒18。当所述套筒18在图1的初始位置上时,沟槽32和所述芯26的未被保护的区域30经由位于套筒18与管件12之间的第一对密封件34和位于套筒18与限制座22之间的第二对密封件36与井下流体隔离。密封件34和36例如是O形环、组合垫圈或者任何其他合适的密封元件并且可以由本领域中公知的任何合适的材料制造。密封件34和36还将通道24的在限制件20相对两侧上的侧部彼此隔离,使得可以在密封件的两侧形成压差。
在组件16致动之后,不再需要限制件20两侧上的压差,可以移除限制座22和/或限制件20。为了使所述芯26接触井下流体,可以穿透所述保护层28。例如,在图1和2的实施方式中,套筒18的致动不仅执行组件的首要功能,例如选择性打开所述端口14;而且还使所述限制座22接触井下流体。具体地,管件12中的通道随着向井下延伸而加宽,以用于当套筒18处于其打开位置上时在套筒18与管件12之间形成腔体38。腔体38与沟槽32一起能够实现通道24与所述芯26的未被保护的区域之间的流体连通。因此,通过在通道24中提供合适的流体,在套筒18致动之后可以立即开始所述芯26的移除。
图3和4中分别示出了处于初始位置上和施加压力之后的具有组件42的系统40。该组件42总体与组件16类似,包括套筒44和限制座46,其中限制座46由可移除芯48和保护层50构成。然而,与系统10不同的是,所述保护层50完全包围所述芯48。作为将流体引导到所述芯的未被保护的区域中的替代方案,组件42的致动使所述层50被穿透。
例如,除了实施某个首要的任务或操作(例如打开端口、触发工具等等)之外,组件42的致动还将限制座46驱动到套筒44上的多个穿透元件52中。穿透元件52可以是穿透、刺穿、戳穿、进入或以其他方式提供穿过所述层50至所述芯48的流体通路的任意特征。在图5中更详细地示出了所述层50的穿透。穿透元件可以为尖点、齿、钉等的形式。穿透元件52还可以包括布置在套筒44圆周表面上或者限制件20外部上(尤其是当该限制件20为穿过限制座而不是坐放于限制座上的元件的形式时)的翅片、刀片、点、凸出部、研磨或粗糙纹理等等,以用于当限制座46被致动时刮擦、蚀刻或者研磨所述层50。一旦穿透所述层50,所述芯48可以接触井下流体以用于实现限制座46的移除。有鉴于该实施方式,可以意识到,通过在所述限制座的径向外侧定位端口等类似特征、使限制座能够直接倚靠管件滑动、并且在管件上设置穿透元件,可以避免使用套筒比如套筒44,其中端口在限制座移除之后打开。
在图6和7中示出了另一个实施方式,即包括组件54。组件54总体上与上面讨论的组件类似,具有套筒56和限制座或支座58。还与上面类似的是,限制座58包括可移除芯60和保护层62。然而在组件54中,限制座58具有自其轴向凸出的延伸部64。该延伸部64除了在其端部处的未被覆盖的区域66之外都由层62覆盖。通过使未被覆盖的区域66与限制座58的主体分开一段距离,延伸部64起到了“引信”的作用,用于延迟限制座58的移除,直到延伸部64在未被覆盖的区域66接触井下流体之后完全移除。这样,延伸部64的长度可以设定成将限制座58的移除延迟足够长的时间,以使限制座58首先用于其首要目的,例如接收限制件20或者一些其他塞子以用于打开端口等等,然后移除。
适合于可移除的限制座的芯的材料包括镁、铝、可控电解金属材料等等。正如这里所述的可控电解材料是重量轻的、高强度金属材料。在美国专利公开号2011/0135953(Xu等人)中给出了合适的材料以及它们的制造方法的示例,该专利公报全文通过引用并入于此。这些轻重量的、高强度的能够可选择地且可控地移除的材料包括由带涂层粉末材料构成的全致密烧结粉末压块,其包括各种轻重量的具有各种单层或多层纳米涂层的颗粒芯和芯材料。这些粉末压块是由带涂层金属粉末制成的,包括各种电化学活性(例如具有相对更高标准的氧化势)轻重量的、高强度颗粒芯和芯材料,比如电化学活性金属,其分散在由金属涂层材料的各种纳米金属涂层构成的蜂窝状纳米基体内,并且在钻孔应用中尤其有用。合适的芯材料包括电化学活动金属,其标准氧化势高于或等于Zn,包括象Mg、Al、Mn或Zn或者它们的合金或组合物。例如,三元Mg-Al-X合金可以包括按重量计高达85%的Mg、高达大约15%的Al以及高达大约5%的X,其中X是另一种材料。所述芯材料还可以包括稀土元素,比如Sc、Y、La、Ce、Pr、Nd或Er或者稀土元素的组合。在其他实施方式中,所述材料可以包括标准氧化势低于Zn的其他材料。还有,合适的非金属材料包括陶瓷、玻璃(例如空心玻璃微球体)、碳或者它们的组合。在一个实施方式中,该材料在大约50nm到大约5000nm的分散颗粒之间具有基本均匀的平均厚度。在一个实施方式中,涂层由Al、Ni、W或者Al2O3或者它们的组合构成。在一个实施方式中,涂层是多层涂层,例如包括第一Al层、Al2O3层以及第二Al层。在一些实施方式中,涂层可以具有大约25nm到大约2500nm的厚度。
这些粉末压块提供机械强度特性的独特且有利的结合,比如压缩和剪切强度、低密度和可选择且可控的腐蚀特性,尤其是在各种井内流体中的快速可控溶解。所述流体可以包括任何数量的离子流体或高极性流体,比如那些包含各种氯化物的流体。示例包括还有氯化钾(KCl)、盐酸(HCl)、氯化钙(CaCl2)、溴化钙(CaBr2)或溴化锌(ZnBr2)。例如,颗粒芯和这些粉末的涂层可以选择成提供适合于用作高强度工程材料的烧结粉末压块,其具有与各种其他工程材料(包括碳钢、不锈钢和合金钢)相当的压缩强度和剪切强度,但是还具有与各种聚合物、弹性体、低密度多孔陶瓷和复合材料相当的低密度。

2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,设置有至少一个密封元件来将所述未被覆盖区域与所述流体隔离。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述未被覆盖区域与所述通道之间的流体连通通过所述管件中的腔体实现,在该组件致动之前该腔体与未被覆盖区域错开。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,该组件的致动打开所述管件中的至少一个端口。
5.根据权利要求4所述的系统,其中,该组件包括布置在所述限制座与所述管件之间的套筒,该组件的致动使得所述套筒移位以打开所述至少一个端口。
6.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中,所述可移除材料是可控电解金属材料。
7.一种致动系统,包括:
限定通道的管件;以及
与所述管件一起布置的组件,该组件具有以可操作方式布置成用于接收限制件的限制座,该限制件能够实现所述组件的致动,该限制座至少部分地由响应于通道中的流体而可移除的可移除材料构成,其中,致动所述组件实施首要功能且还使所述可移除材料与所述流体接触;
其中,所述可移除材料至少部分地由保护层包住,并且,致动所述组件将所述可移除材料的未被覆盖区域与所述管件中的腔体对准,该腔体在所述未被覆盖区域与所述通道之间建立流体连通。
8.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中,所述组件的首要功能是选择性打开所述管件中的至少一个端口。
9.一种操作如权利要求1所述的系统的方法,包括:
启动所述限制件通过管件中的通道;
在所述组件的限制座处接收所述限制件;
利用所述限制件致动所述组件以实施所述组件的首要功能,其中,所述组件的致动还使所述可移除材料接触流体。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中,所述组件的首要功能是选择性地打开所述管件中的至少一个端口。
11.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中,致动所述组件使所述可移除材料的未被覆盖区域与所述管件中的腔体对准,该腔体在所述未被覆盖区域与所述通道之间建立流体连通。
