可向远程管理服务器提供访问信息以标识移动设备被链接到的远程管理账户(210)。例如,可以例如响应于服务器的提示而输入与远程管理账户相对应的用户名和口令。用户名和口令可唯一地标识远程管理服务器所容宿的远程管理账户。任何唯一标识符都可用于指示远程管理服务器所容宿的特定远程管理账户。
唯一地标识移动设备的信息也可由远程管理服务器获得(215)。在一些实现方式中,序列号、电话号码、订户身份模块(SIM)卡、媒体访问控制(MAC)地址、国际移动设备身份(IMEI)或其他这种标识符可用于标识移动设备。在一些其他实现方式中,标识移动设备的信息可以是唯一设备标识符(UDID),其可以是与移动设备相关联的硬件标识符的例如利用安全散列算法生成的散列。另外,可自动从移动设备获得唯一标识符。从而,可避免数据输入差错。一旦被标识,移动设备就可与远程管理账户相关联(220)。
另外,移动设备可预订命令集合主题(225)。命令集合主题可以是依移动设备而定的,以使得只有针对该移动设备的消息才被发布到该命令集合主题。另外,可以仅对移动设备准予对命令集合主题的访问,移动设备可基于先前确定的唯一标识符来向通知服务认证。在一些实现方式中,通知服务可被容宿在远程管理服务器上。在其他实现方式中,通知服务可被容宿在与远程管理服务器分开的一个或多个服务器上。当移动设备预订命令集合主题时,一个或多个命令节点(或子节点)可被创建来接收由通知服务发布的消息。例如,命令集合主题对于诸如定位命令、声音命令、消息命令、屏幕锁定命令、目录列表命令、文件取回命令和擦除命令之类的移动设备可接收的每种类型的远程命令消息可包括一命令节点。
此外,可以判定是否要改变与移动设备相关联的一个或多个远程管理设定(230)。最初可根据默认设定来配置与移动设备相关联的远程管理功能。例如,可以默认使能远程管理命令中的一个或多个,例如擦除和声音命令,而可以默认禁用一个或多个其他远程管理命令,例如定位命令。远程管理命令除非已被使能否则不能被移动设备执行。因此,在默认移动设备配置中可以保护移动设备拥有者的隐私,因为不能远程地从移动设备获得位置信息。另外,在一些实现方式中,可以永久使能远程管理命令中的一个或多个,例如消息命令,以使得移动设备拥有者不能禁用该命令。
在移动设备与远程管理账户相关联时,可提示移动设备拥有者审阅远程命令设定。如果移动设备拥有者选择不改变远程命令设定,则初始化过程可终止。或者,如果移动设备拥有者选择改变远程命令设定,则当前的远程命令设定可被显示,以使得移动设备拥有者可以更改远程管理设定中的一个或多个(235)。例如,移动设备拥有者可以提供输入来使能定位命令,以使得移动设备可被远程定位。
在一些实现方式中,在任何时间,可通过诸如优选项或联络人之类的操作系统菜单项来访问远程命令设定。作为替换或附加,可通过远程管理应用来访问远程命令设定。一旦远程命令设定已被设定,初始化过程就可终止。
图3示出了描述远程命令移动设备的示例性过程的流程图。远程管理应用可被配置为通过向通知服务发布远程命令消息来远程地命令一个或多个链接的移动设备。在一些实现方式中,远程管理应用可以是容宿在一个或多个服务器上的基于web的应用。
远程管理账户拥有者可通过访问远程管理应用并提供诸如用户名和口令之类的登录证书来登录到远程管理账户(305)。可在任何时间通过注册过程建立远程管理账户,即使没有移动设备与该账户相关联。在一些实现方式中,例如通过加密一个或多个登录信息项或通过建立受保护的连接,可以保护登录过程。另外,在一些实现方式中,为了访问远程管理账户,可以要求额外的或不同的登录证书。
一旦准予了对远程管理账户的访问,就可呈现与远程管理账户相链接的移动设备的列表(310)。移动设备的列表标识出与远程管理账户相关联的每个被管理的设备。可通过包括以下各项中的一个或多个在内的一项或多项信息来唯一地标识每个移动设备:标识设备的图标、设备类型、型号、序列号、电话号码和昵称。另外,移动设备的列表还可对于每个设备指示该设备当前是否可联系到或在线。如果与该账户相关联的移动设备已被擦除,则该移动设备可在带有对不再能管理该设备的指示的情况下被显示在移动设备的列表中。在一些实现方式中,移动设备也可通过账户接口例如在账户注册期间与远程管理账户相关联。
可从受管理设备的列表中选择移动设备(315)。例如,账户拥有者可选择被放错了地方的移动设备。可通过点击受管理设备的列表中包括的相应图标或信息项来选择移动设备。还可呈现对于所选择的移动设备可用的一个或多个远程命令(320)。在一些实现方式中,可以呈现所有远程命令,以及标识出对于该移动设备已使能了哪些远程命令的指示符。在一些其他实现方式中,只呈现已被使能的远程命令。另外,在一些实现方式中,也可在账户级,即通过远程管理账户来使能一个或多个远程命令,用于在移动设备上执行。例如,移动设备和远程管理应用可被配置为允许通过远程管理账户使能一个或多个远程命令,如果额外的认证信息可得到验证的话。此外,一个或多个远程命令,例如定位命令,仅可在设备级使能,即从移动设备使能。从而,可以保护移动设备拥有者的隐私。
可从可用的远程命令中选择移动设备要执行的远程命令(325)。基于所选择的远程命令,远程管理应用可提示账户拥有者提供一项或多项信息。例如,如果选择了消息命令,则远程管理应用可提示账户拥有者提供要在移动设备上显示的消息。或者,如果选择了擦除命令,则远程管理应用可提示账户拥有者确认要向移动设备发送擦除命令。其他远程命令可一旦选择即被启动,无需提示账户拥有者提供额外信息。例如,定位命令可响应于对其的选择而被启动。
远程管理应用可生成并发送所选择的远程命令到通知服务。例如,远程管理应用可具有到通知服务的可扩展消息传递和在场协议(XMPP)连接,并且可发送发布消息到与移动设备相关联的命令集合主题的相应命令节点。通知服务可发布远程命令并发送通知消息到预订了命令集合主题的移动设备。
在启动远程命令之后,可判定是否要生成另一命令(330)。可向移动设备发送任何数目的命令。例如,可发送消息命令以在移动设备的显示屏上呈现消息,并且可发送声音命令以提供可听提醒,以使得移动设备可被注意到。然而,在擦除命令被执行之后,就不能向移动设备发送额外的命令,直到其被重配置为止。如果要生成另一命令,则还可以判定该命令是否是针对同一移动设备的(335)。如果另一命令是为同一移动设备生成的,则可从用于该移动设备的可用远程命令中选择远程命令(325)。或者,如果下一命令是针对一不同的移动设备的,则可呈现与远程管理账户相关联的移动设备的列表(310)。
如果不想要另一命令,则可以访问与远程管理账户相关联的任何结果消息(340)。接收到远程命令的移动设备可发布结果消息,该结果消息指示出该命令正被执行并且提供该命令所请求的任何信息。另外,远程管理账户可利用远程命令指定结果主题,移动设备将向该结果主题发布结果消息。如果当远程命令消息被发布时移动设备连接到数据网络,则相应的结果消息可被移动设备实时或近实时地发布到结果主题。或者,如果当远程命令消息被发布时移动设备关机或未连接到数据网络,则结果消息将不被发布,直到移动设备建立到数据网络的连接并且取回远程命令来执行为止。
图4示出了描述移动设备接收远程命令的示例性过程的流程图。诸如移动电话之类的一些移动设备每当其开机和在服务区中时就可以有持续的无线网络连接,例如(TCP)连接。诸如数字媒体播放器之类的一些其他移动设备仅在其处于诸如Wi-Fi基站之类的接入点的范围内并且无线网络连接已被使能时才可以有无线网络连接。另外,对移动设备的推送服务可被关闭,例如为了保持电池寿命。从而,移动设备可被配置为按预定的间隔(例如每三十分钟)建立网络连接,以接收远程管理命令。此外,在移动设备被配置为仅响应于手动命令才建立网络连接的情况下,移动设备仍然可被配置为自动建立网络连接以支持远程管理。例如,可以每小时一次地建立网络连接以检查远程命令消息,然后断开网络连接。从而,如果移动设备丢失并且网络连接不能被手动触发,则移动设备仍可以接收一个或多个远程管理命令。
移动设备可访问容宿着移动设备预订的命令集合主题的通知服务(405)。例如,移动设备可访问与通知服务相关联的URI并且可执行认证过程。一旦得到认证,移动设备就可访问预订的命令集合主题。命令集合主题可与移动设备唯一地关联并且可包括一个或多个命令节点,每个命令节点可接收特定类型的命令消息。移动设备可被配置为在重新建立数据网络连接时,例如在移动设备在数据网络访问可用的区域中初次被开机时,访问通知服务。此外,移动设备可被配置为响应于接收到指出消息已被发布到预订的命令主题的通知而访问通知服务。
一旦移动设备已访问了命令集合主题,该主题中包括的每个命令节点就可被轮询,以判定是否接收到了一个或多个新的远程命令消息(410)。在一些实现方式中,移动设备可被配置为将命令集合主题中包括的任何远程命令消息与移动设备缓存的远程命令消息相比较。如果在缓存中不存在远程命令消息,则移动设备可将该消息视为新的。如果未接收到新的远程命令消息,则移动设备可与通知服务断开连接(415)。
或者,如果在命令集合主题中检测到新的远程命令消息,则移动设备可取回该新的远程命令消息(420)。在一些实现方式中,如果在命令集合主题中存在不止一个新的远程命令消息,则可按基于服务器时间戳、命令消息类型或其组合的顺序来取回远程命令消息。例如,移动设备可被配置为最后取回擦除命令,因为对擦除命令的执行将阻止对任何剩余命令的执行。
远程命令消息可包括在执行命令和响应时要使用的一般参数,例如服务器时间戳、结果消息要被发布到的结果主题以及命令标识符,对于特定的命令类型,也可包括一个或多个命令特定参数。例如,消息命令可包括标识要显示的消息的参数。可利用包括划界列表、数据字段或键-值对在内的任何数据构造来表达这些参数。在一些实现方式中,服务器时间戳可以是采取格式yyyy-MM-dd′T′HH:mm:ss.SSS′Z的XMPP标准时间戳。另外,服务器时间戳可用于计算发送远程命令消息和执行相关联的命令之间的持续时间。
移动设备可评估取回的远程命令消息以判定是否理解相关联的命令(425)。例如,移动设备可能不理解与更新近版本的操作系统相关联或者要求移动设备中不包括的功能的命令。如果移动设备不理解与取回的远程命令消息相关联的命令,则移动设备可向结果主题发布消息,指示出该命令未被理解(430)。结果主题可以是与移动设备相关联的预定结果主题或者在远程命令消息中标识的结果主题。移动设备还可判定命令集合主题是否包括新的命令消息(410)。
如果理解了与取回的远程命令消息相关联的命令,则移动设备可判定命令是否也被使能(435)。例如,移动设备可执行的命令中的一个或多个可通过用户动作或根据默认设定而被禁用。如果命令被禁用了,则移动设备可向结果主题发布消息,指示出命令已被禁用(440)。移动设备还可判定命令集合主题是否包括新的命令消息(410)。
如果移动设备判定命令被使能,则移动设备可向结果主题发布确认消息(445)。结果主题可以是在命令消息中指定的或者可以是预定的结果主题。确认消息可指示命令的结果和启动命令执行的时间。另外,对于诸如擦除命令、声音命令和消息命令之类的一些命令,确认消息可在命令执行之前被发布,以指示出命令将被执行。对于诸如位置命令之类的其他命令,可在执行命令之后发布确认消息。例如,与位置命令相对应的确认消息包括在命令执行期间生成的标识移动设备的位置的数据。
移动设备还可执行由远程命令消息标识的命令(450)。例如,可通过输出可听提醒,例如以指定的音量播放达指定的持续时间的一个或多个声音,来执行声音命令。在一些实现方式中,可听提醒也可被延迟,例如在命令被发送后延迟预定的时间,和/或被重复一次或多次。可通过向移动设备中包括的显示屏输出消息,例如文本,来执行消息命令。另外,擦除命令的执行可使得一项或多项数据被从移动设备中删除。在一些实现方式中,移动设备拥有者可选择数据的类型或擦除的级别。在其他实现方式中,执行擦除命令可使得移动设备被恢复到默认状态。此外,定位命令的执行可使得移动设备基于在命令被执行时移动设备可用的地理参考信息来标识其位置。除了在擦除命令的情况中以外,在命令被执行之后,移动设备可判定在命令集合主题中是否存在另一新命令(410)。
图5示出了描述移动设备执行声音命令的示例性过程的流程图。移动设备可接收指示出要输出可听提醒的声音命令(510)。如上所述,可从移动设备预订的命令集合主题的声音命令节点取回与声音命令相对应的远程命令消息。另外,移动设备可确定声音命令既是认识的,而且也在移动设备上被使能了。如果移动设备确定声音命令不是认识的或者未被使能,则该命令被忽略。
响应于声音命令,移动设备可确定要播放的声音(515)。在一些实现方式中,声音命令可指示出要播放预定的可听提醒。该预定的可听提醒可由一个或多个预定的声音和预定的持续时间来表征。在一些其他实现方式中,声音命令可包括指定可听提醒的特性的一个或多个参数,例如要播放的一个或多个声音、音量、持续时间、是否重复可听提醒、是连续还是周期性地输出可听提醒。
然后移动设备可输出表示可听提醒的一个或多个声音(520)。另外,移动设备可向通知服务发布结果消息(525)。结果消息可被发布到结果主题,例如由命令消息指定的结果主题,指示出可听提醒已被或将被输出。在一些实现方式中,结果消息可包括一项或多项数据,例如执行命令的时间和可听提醒的特性。

移动设备可确定要显示的消息(610)。例如,接收到的消息命令可包括要呈现的消息的文本。在一些实现方式中,消息命令还可指定消息格式,包括字体、字体大小、文本颜色、背景和图形中的一个或多个。另外,可对消息施加一个或多个限制,例如字符数目或消息大小,以确保消息可以被完全显示在单个屏幕上并且减少与消息命令相关联的开销。消息命令所标识的消息可被呈现在移动设备的显示屏上(615)。消息可被显示在显示屏上呈现的所有其他项目之上,以使得整个消息可见并且不被打断。另外,即使移动设备被锁定或者屏保正在作用中,也可显示消息。
移动设备还可向与通知服务相关联的结果主题发布结果消息(620)。例如,结果主题可由消息命令指定。结果消息可指示出在移动设备上显示了消息以及显示消息的时间。另外,结果消息还可重复在移动设备上显示的消息。在消息被显示之后,移动设备可接收输入以取消消息(625)。例如,当移动设备被拾得时,可响应于诸如按钮按压之类的动作来关闭消息。

响应于擦除命令,移动设备可请求解除对命令集合主题的预订(710)。作为解除预订的结果,可以删除与该命令集合主题相对应的命令节点中的所有消息。在一些实现方式中,还可从远程管理账户的设备列表中去除移动设备。在一些其他实现方式中,可在设备列表中将移动设备呈现为不再能够被管理(或呈现为死去的设备)。移动设备可判定解除对命令集合主题的预订的尝试是否成功(715)。如果移动设备未成功解除对命令集合主题的预订,则移动设备可重复解除预订的请求(710)。

响应于接收到定位命令,移动设备可确定其当前位置(810)。例如,移动设备可使用位置过程或应用编程接口(API)来取回最准确地描述其位置的可用数据。如果移动设备包括全球定位系统(GPS)芯片,则移动设备可取回标识其当前位置的GPS坐标。如果移动设备不包括GPS芯片,或者其GPS坐标不可得,则移动设备可通过其他手段确定其位置。例如,如果移动设备被配置为在无线电信网络上通信,则移动设备可利用蜂窝塔三角测量来估计其位置。或者,如果移动设备被配置为利用Wi-Fi连接通信,则移动设备可根据最近的Wi-Fi基站来估计其位置。移动设备还可使用本领域中已知的用于确定或估计其位置的任何其他技术。
移动设备还可被配置为确定与定位命令相关联的一个或多个时间(815)。例如,移动设备可确定接收到定位命令的时间。另外,移动设备可确定处理定位命令以确定位置信息的时间。
一旦移动设备确定了位置信息,移动设备就可向结果主题发布结果消息(820)。结果消息可包括一项或多项位置数据。例如,结果消息可包括指定地理数据的键-值对,例如经度、纬度、垂直精确度和水平精确度。另外,结果消息可包括一项或多项时间数据。例如,结果消息可包括指示出取回位置数据的时间的时间戳和指示出接收到定位消息的时间的时间戳。从而,可以基于报告的时间数据至少部分评估位置数据的精确度。

Claims (24)
1.一种远程地命令移动设备的、由计算机实现的方法,该方法包括:
接收输入,该输入标识了移动设备;
向用户呈现与所述移动设备相对应的一个或多个远程命令;
接收用户输入,该用户输入从所呈现的一个或多个远程命令中选择远程命令;
生成远程命令消息,该远程命令消息指令所述移动设备执行所选择的远程命令;以及
向服务器发送所述远程命令消息,以在消息主题中发布。
2.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,其中,所述消息主题唯一地对应于所述移动设备。
3.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,其中,向用户呈现一个或多个远程命令的步骤还包括:
将所述一个或多个远程命令中的至少一个标识为被使能,以供所述移动设备执行。
4.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,还包括:
向用户呈现与远程管理账户相关联的移动设备的可选择列表,所述可选择列表包括唯一地标识每个移动设备的信息。
5.如权利要求4所述的由计算机实现的方法,还包括:
对于所述移动设备的可选择列表中包括的移动设备,指示出该移动设备是否在线。
6.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,还包括:
接收结果消息,该结果消息确认所述移动设备对所选择的远程命令的执行。
7.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,其中,所述远程命令包括定位命令。
8.如权利要求7所述的由计算机实现的方法,还包括:
接收结果消息,该结果消息包括与所述移动设备的位置相对应的地理坐标。
9.如权利要求1所述的由计算机实现的方法,其中,所述远程命令包括擦除命令。
10.如权利要求9所述的由计算机实现的方法,还包括:
接收结果消息,该结果消息确认所述移动设备对擦除过程的启动;以及
将所述移动设备标识为非活动设备。
11.一种被编码在计算机可读介质上的计算机程序产品,可操作来使得数据处理装置执行包括以下步骤的操作:
向用户呈现与远程管理账户相关联的一个或多个移动设备的列表;
接收用户输入,该用户输入选择所述一个或多个移动设备的列表中包括的移动设备;
向用户呈现与所选择的移动设备相对应的一个或多个远程命令的列表;
接收用户输入,该用户输入从所述一个或多个远程命令的列表中选择远程命令;
生成远程命令消息,该远程命令消息标识所选择的远程命令;以及
向服务器发送所述远程命令消息,以在与所选择的移动设备相对应的消息主题中发布。
12.如权利要求11所述的计算机程序产品,还可操作来使得数据处理装置执行包括以下步骤的操作:
对于所呈现的列表中包括的一个或多个移动设备,显示对该移动设备在线的指示。
13.如权利要求11所述的计算机程序产品,还可操作来使得数据处理装置执行包括以下步骤的操作:
标识所述一个或多个远程命令的列表中包括的、未被使能来在所选择的移动设备上执行的至少一个远程命令。
14.如权利要求11所述的计算机程序产品,还可操作来使得数据处理装置执行包括以下步骤的操作:
响应于所选择的远程命令,提示用户提供信息项。
15.如权利要求14所述的计算机程序产品,其中,所述信息项包括要在所述移动设备上显示的消息。
16.如权利要求14所述的计算机程序产品,其中,所述信息项包括对擦除命令的确认。
17.如权利要求11所述的计算机程序产品,还可操作来使得数据处理装置执行包括以下步骤的操作:
从所述远程命令消息中标识的结果主题取回由所述移动设备响应于所述远程命令而生成的结果消息。
18.一种系统,包括:
服务器,该服务器容宿消息主题;以及
计算系统,该计算系统包括输入接口、显示屏和处理器电子装置,该处理器电子装置被配置为执行包括以下步骤的操作:
在所述显示屏上呈现用户界面,该用户界面列出与远程管理账户相关联的一个或多个移动设备;
通过所述输入接口接收与所述一个或多个移动设备之一相对应的用户选择;
在所述用户界面中呈现被使能来供所选择的移动设备执行的一个或多个远程命令;
通过所述输入接口接收与所述一个或多个远程命令之一相对应的用户选择;以及
向服务器发送与所选择的远程命令相对应的远程命令消息,以在消息主题中发布。
19.如权利要求18所述的系统,其中,所述服务器还被配置为容宿结果主题。
20.如权利要求19所述的系统,其中,所述处理器电子装置还被配置为执行包括以下步骤的操作:
从所述结果主题取回由所选择的移动设备响应于所述远程命令消息而生成的结果消息。
21.如权利要求20所述的系统,其中,所述结果消息包括与所选择的远程命令相关联的执行时间。
22.如权利要求19所述的系统,其中,所述处理器电子装置还被配置为执行包括以下步骤的操作:
在所述用户界面中呈现与所选择的移动设备相对应的、一个或多个被禁用的远程命令;
通过所述输入接口接收与所述一个或多个被禁用的远程命令中的一个被禁用的远程命令相对应的用户选择;以及
向所选择的移动设备发送消息,以使能该被禁用的远程命令供所选择的移动设备执行。
23.如权利要求18所述的系统,其中,所选择的远程命令包括定位命令。
24.如权利要求23所述的系统,其中,所述处理器电子装置还被配置为执行包括以下步骤的操作:
接收与所述定位命令相对应的结果消息,所述结果消息包括与所选择的移动设备相关联的地理坐标;以及
在所述显示屏上呈现地图,该地图根据相关联的地理坐标来描绘所选择的移动设备的位置。
