移动设备概述

其它(一个或多个)输入控制器344可以耦接到其它输入/控制设备348,使得一个或多个按钮、摇臂开关、拇指旋转开关、红外端口、USB端口和/或诸如铁笔之类的点选设备。一个或多个按钮(未示出)可以包括用于扬声器328和/或麦克风330的音量控制的上/下按钮。
在一个实现方式中,按压按钮达第一持续时间可以给触摸屏346解锁;而按压按钮达比第一持续时间更长的第二持续时间可以接通或关断移动设备100的电源。用户能够定制这些按钮中一个或多个的功能。触摸屏346例如可以被用来实现虚拟的或软的按钮和/或键盘。
在某些实现方式中,移动设备100可以呈现所记录的音频和/或视频文件,例如,MP3、AAC和MPEG文件。在某些实现方式中,移动设备100可以包括诸如iPodTM之类的MP3播放器的功能。移动设备100因此可以包括与iPod相兼容的36引脚的连接头。也可以使用其它输入/输出和控制设备。
存储器接口302可以耦接到存储器350。存储器350可以包括高速随机存取存储器和/或非易失性存储器,例如一个或多个磁盘存储设备,一个或多个光学存储设备和/或闪存(例如,NAND,NOR)。存储器350可以存储操作系统352,例如,Darwin、RTXC、LINUX、UNIX、OS X、WINDOWS或诸如VxWorks的嵌入式操作系统。操作系统352可以包括用于处理基本系统服务和用于执行依赖硬件的任务的指令。在某些实现方式中,操作系统352可以是内核(例如,UNIX内核)。

以上识别的指令和应用中的每一个可以对应于用于执行上述一个或多个功能的指令集。这些指令不需要作为分离的软件程序、程序或模块来执行。存储器350可以包括另外的指令或更少的指令。此外,移动设备100的各种功能可以以一个或多个信号处理/或专用集成电路中包括的硬件和/或软件实现。
示例导航系统
图4图示出导航系统400的示例实现方式。在图4中,移动设备402可以代表移动设备100。移动设备402例如可以与一个或多个网络接入点404(例如,Wi-Fi基站设备)或一个或多个蜂窝塔406通信。在某些实现方式中,接入点404可以是实现任意合适的Wi-Fi或其它无线连网技术或协议的802.11b/g无线路由器、802.11n无线路由器和某些其它Wi-Fi设备的任意组合。使用与接入点404或蜂窝塔406的通信,基于位置的服务408(基于位置的服务A)或基于位置的服务410(基于位置的服务B)可以估计移动设备402当前所位于的地理区域。移动设备402的实际位置可以在估计出的地理区域中的任何地方。估计出的地理区域不一定是圆形的,而是为了方便,可以被表示为地图显示上的圆形区域。
移动设备402例如可以从接入点404(例如,Wi-Fi接入点)接收通信412A。通信412A可以包括有关接入点404的信息,例如,接入点404的互联网协议(IP)地址和/或介质访问控制(MAC)地址。通信412A可以包括其它信息,例如,接入点404的维度和经度。在通信412A中接收到的信息可以在通信412B中被发送给基于位置的服务408。基于位置的服务408例如使用通信412B中的所发送的信息来以一不确定度或误差度估计移动设备402当前位于的第一地理区域。在某些实现方式中,基于位置的服务408是使用映射到地理位置的接入点的数据库来以某一不确定度或误差度来估计设备的位置的系统或服务。估计出的位置的精确度或精密度(或不确定度或误差度)例如可以基于技术的范围、范围的精确度或某些其它标准。估计出的位置的精确度或精密度可能受一个或多个因素的影响,这些因素例如包括技术或系统的内在特性或限制,以及给定技术或系统的部署水平(例如,设备附近的接入点或蜂窝塔的数目)
在某些实现方式中,估计出的位置的精确度或精密度以距离为单位来规定(例如,“估计出的位置精确到50米”)。即,移动设备402的实际位置可以在离估计出的位置精确的距离以内。例如,第一地理区域可以是中心为估计出的位置的维度和精度、半径等于所规定的精确度或精密度(例如,如果估计出的位置精确到38米,则为38米)的圆。可替换地,第一地理区域在地图显示上可以被表示为正方形、长方形、椭圆形、菱形、三角形或其它形状的封闭区域。
在某些其它实现方式中,多个接入点的特有签名(例如,5个或更多)可以与移动设备402上的本地缓存相比较或使用网络通信与基于位置的服务408处的中心参考数据库相比较(例如,通信412B可以被发送给基于位置的服务408)。基于位置的服务408可以使用特有的签名来估计半径为m米(例如,约20米)的第一地理圆的中心的维度和经度。
在某些实现方式中,基于位置的服务408包括由Boston,MA的SKYHOOK WIRELESS提供的定位服务和参考数据库信息。
移动设备402可以从蜂窝塔406接收通信414A。蜂窝通信414A例如可以包括识别蜂窝塔406的信息。在某些实现方式中,蜂窝通信414A也可以包括蜂窝塔406的维度和精度。识别信息和/或蜂窝塔406的维度和精度可以在通信414B中被发送给基于位置的服务410。基于位置的服务410可以使用通信414B中所包括的信息来估计移动设备402的位置并且估计估计位置的精确度。因此,例如,基于位置的服务410可以估计移动设备402当前位于的第二地理区域。在某些实现方式中,第二地理区域在地图上被表示为以估计的位置为中心、半径等于估计位置的精确度的圆形区域。作为几个另外的示例,在某些其它实现方式中,第二地理区域可以在地图上用正方形或长方形封闭区域表示。
在某些实现方式中,移动设备402的位置和地理区域可以使用“起源蜂窝”定位技术来估计。在某些其它实现方式中,第二地理区域可以用蜂窝塔三角测量来确定。
第一和第二地理区域可以分别通过通信416和418被发送至移动设备402。移动设备402可以在例如触敏显示器102上呈现这样的地图视图,该地图视图包括对地理区域中一个地理区域的指示,如果这个地理区域被整个包含在另一地理区域以内的话(包括这样的情况:这些地理区域的边界接触,但是这些地理区域中这一个地理区域的任何部分都不在这另一地理区域的外面。)例如,如果第一地理区域被完全包含在第二地理区域内,则可以呈现包括第一地理区域的指示的地图视图。如果第一地理区域未被完全包含在第二地理区域以内,则移动设备402可以呈现包括第二地理区域的指示的地图视图。例如,如果用来估计第一地理区域的技术、系统或服务比用来估计第二地理区域的技术、系统或服务具有更高水平的精确度或精密度,并且基于第一地理区域整个在第二地理区域以内,第一地理区域被确定为更加精确或精密,则移动设备402可以使用第一地理区域。技术的详细水平例如可以由移动设备402内所存储的优先级表来确定。
在另一示例中,第一地理区域可以使用接入点404来估计,而第二地理区域可以使用蜂窝塔406来估计。在该示例中,接入点404被从其原来的位置移开了,所以基于位置的服务408所知道的接入点404的维度和经度坐标不正确,并且移动设备402实际上不位于第一地理区域以内。蜂窝塔406提供了正确的基于位置的数据,并且移动设备402位于第二地理区域内。在该情况中,第一和第二地理区域不重叠,所以,移动设备402将显示指示第二地理区域的地图视图。可以用移动设备402来确定第一和第二地理区域的精确度,或者可以使用外部服务器或服务器。
基于位置的服务408和基于位置的服务410可以在相同的设备或分开的设备上运行。例如,基于位置的服务408和410可以通过网络(例如,WAN 214)来在与移动设备100通信的服务器上运行。这些服务器可以是分开的服务器或同一服务器。可替换地,基于位置的服务408和410可以在移动设备402上运行。
代替连接到接入点404和蜂窝塔406,或者是除了连接到接入点404和蜂窝塔406以外,移动设备402例如可以连接到用于基于位置的服务的另外的设备或服务(未示出)。作为几个示例,这样的设备和服务可以包括BluetoothTM设备、GPS、无线电或电视塔或蜂窝网格。例如,移动设备402可以连接到与BluetoothTM通信设备188(图1)对等的设备并且从其它移动设备和/或BluetoothTM使能的设备接收基于位置的信息。在某些实现方式中,移动设备402可以使用其它技术(例如,GPS)来确定或估计其位置和/或地理区域。在某些实现方式中,使用这些其它技术中的任一者确定或估计的地理区域可以被使用(例如,被显示)来替代使用基于位置的服务408或410估计出的地理区域(例如,Wi-Fi或蜂窝定位技术),如果使用其它技术确定或估计的地理区域被整个包含在使用基于位置的服务408或410估计出的地理区域内并且如果其它技术根据移动设备402中所存储的优先级表是更加精确或精密的话。
具有当前地理区域的指示的示例地图视图
图5A图示出被显示在移动设备100上的具有地理区域的地图502的示例。在某些实现方式中,移动设备100可以在移动设备100的触敏显示器102上显示地图502。当用户选择地图对象144来观看地图绘制和基于位置的服务时,地图502可以被显示。在某些实现方式中,可以通过语音激活来选择例如地图对象144(图1)之类的对象。搜索栏504和书签列表对象506可以被显示在地图502的顶部。在地图的下部,可以显示一个或多个显示对象,例如,搜索对象508、方向对象510、地图视图对象512和当前位置对象514。
搜索栏504可以用来在地图上查找地址或其它位置。例如,用户可以在搜索栏504中输入他们的家庭地址,则包含该地址的区域将被显示在地图502上。书签列表对象506例如可以调出书签列表,书签列表包含经常访问的地址,例如,用户的家庭地址。书签列表例如也可以包含特殊的书签,例如,当前位置,例如,移动设备100的当前位置。
搜索对象508可以用来显示搜索栏504和其它地图相关的搜索菜单。方向对象510例如可以调出菜单界面,菜单界面使得用户可以输入开始和结束位置并且之后显示从开始位置到结束位置的路径的信息,例如,方向和行程时间。地图视图对象512可以调出将使得用户可以选择地图502的显示选项的菜单。以下,将参考图11和图14来进一步描述在地图视图512被选择时可以被显示的菜单的示例。作为几个示例,地图502可以从黑白变为彩色,地图的背景可以改变,或者用户可以改变地图的亮度。
当前位置对象514可以使得用户能看到地图502上的地理区域516,其指示设备100当前所位于的位置。当当前位置对象514被选择时,专门的当前位置书签可以被布置在书签列表中。如果特殊的当前位置书签之前被设置在书签列表中,则旧的书签信息例如可以用新的当前的位置信息来取代。在某些实现方式中,特殊的当前位置书签与地理区域516的形心绑定。即,特殊的当前位置书签包括地理区域516的形心的地址。地理区域516可以基于使用基于位置的服务408或410所确定或估计的位置数据,或某些其它位置数据,例如之前参考图4所描述的数据。地理区域516例如可以用带有十字或其它区别性元素的圆形、正方形或其它闭合区域来描绘,以与从地图502中区分出地理区域516。
在某些实现方式中,地理区域516指示移动设备100被确定或被估计位于的区域,并且该地理区域可以不一定以移动设备100的实际当前位置为中心。在该示例中,移动设备100可以不位于该地理区域内的中心处。在另一示例中,地理区域516可以以估计出的移动设备100当前位置为中心。
移动设备100例如可以在当前位置对象514被轻敲或以其它方式被选择时,将地图视图的中心置于地理区域516上。在某些实现方式中,地图的放大级别可以基于位置数据或提供位置数据的技术、系统或服务的精确度或精密度来调节。例如,地图可以针对更高精确度的GPS位置数据被放大并且针对更低精度的蜂窝塔或Wi-Fi位置数据被缩小。在另一实现方式中,放大级别可以基于移动设备100的速度,例如,地图可以在较高的速度时被缩小并且在移动设备100不移动时被放大。也可以使用精确度或精密度与速度的组合。如果所有用于取得基于位置的数据的方法(例如,基于位置的服务A 408和基于位置的服务B 410)都失败,并且没有其它可用来确定或估计移动设备100的当前位置的系统或服务,则可以向用户显示错误,并且没有地理区域被显示在地图502上。误差例如可以包含给用户的向他们告知失败以及引起失败的可能原因的消息。
当前位置对象514例如可以被选择来激活地图502上地理区域516的估计和显示,作为几个示例,例如来获得去往所估计出的当前位置(即,地理区域516的形心)或从其来的方向,来将估计出的移动设备100的当前位置发送给朋友(例如,使得朋友可以去往同一位置),或者来创建估计出的当前位置的书签。
图5B图示出移动设备100上具有地理区域518的地图502的另一示例。在该示例中,地理区域518被示出为圆,圆的圆周带有记号。其它区别性特征也可以从地图502的其余部分中区分出地理区域518,例如,正方形、三角形或阴影区域。地理区域518的圆周例如可以具有十字、刻度线、阴影或某些其它特征来使得从地图502突出出来。在另一示例中,地理区域518可以被加阴影和/或被高亮显示,或者,地图502中在地理区域518外面的区域可以被加阴影和/或被高亮显示。
描画地理区域518的轮廓的圆例如可以具有动画,或者可以是不动的。圆例如可以改变颜色(例如,移动设备100上用户定义的颜色或预先编排的颜色),改变区别性特征(例如,在十字和记号),或具有移动的区别性特征(例如,记号改变位置)。圆例如可以具有叠加在地图的上面直接围绕圆周的白色空间,或者特征的某些组合。在某些实现方式中,圆的颜色的对比度波动或跳动来从地图502中区分出圆。
图6图示出图5A的地图502的缩小视图602。在该示例中,用户能够观看地图602上围绕地理区域604的大区域。地理区域604例如可以是被重新缩放来匹配缩小视图602的缩放比例的地理区域516。用户例如可以查找位于地理区域604中或在其附近的饭馆、娱乐或某些其它目的地。地图602的这一视图可以在移动设备100移动时被呈现,例如,移动设备100的用户是移动车辆中的旅客。在某些实现方式中,当当前位置对象514被选择并且不随着移动设备100的移动而改变时,地理区域604被确定或被估计。在某些其它实现方式中,地理区域604可以在地图602上随移动设备100的移动而移动。
在某些实现方式中,地理区域604可以基于来自对Wi-Fi基站设备404的最近的查询的数据。地理区域604也可以基于移动设备100最近位于的位置的历史数据。例如,如果地理区域604是在最新的激活前的很短时间中被最后更新,则之前的位置可以用来识别新的位置。继续该示例,如果所示出的之前的当前位置示出用户在加利福尼亚,但是30分钟后的新位置示出在当前位置在佛罗里达,则错误会被显示在移动设备100上。
图7图示出图5A的地图502的另一视图。在该示例中,地理区域702包围地图502的整个视图。在某些实现方式中,地图502的视图和地理区域702例如可以在移动设备未被移动或未被很快地移动时(例如,带有移动设备100的用户正在散步时)被示出。当为地图502的给定放大级别时,设备100的估计出的位置的精确度或精密度跨越所显示的地图502的整个区域,即,地理区域702以给定的放大级别覆盖地图502中所显示出的部分的全部时,地理区域702可以被显示为包含地图502的整个视图。例如,如果地图被放大为显示围绕估计出的当前位置的50米的区域并且估计出的当前位置的精确度是100米,则地理区域702可以被显示来包括地图的显示区域。
图8图示出具有比图6中示出的更大的地理区域802的地图602的另一视图。地理视图604例如可以使用Wi-Fi(例如,通过参考图4所描述的接入点404)来确定,而地理区域802可以使用蜂窝电话塔(例如参考图4描述的蜂窝塔406)来确定。
例如,图4中的第一地理区域可以使用接入点404来确定并且图4中的第二地理区域可以用蜂窝塔406来确定。如果第一地理区域被确定为被整个包含在第二地理区域内,则第一地理区域可以被用作地理区域604并且被呈现在移动设备100上。如果第一地理区域被确定为被绝大部分地包含在第二地理区域内,则第二地理区域可以被用作地理区域802并且被呈现在移动设备100上。
被绝大部分地包含在第二地理区域内的第一地理区域的某些示例包括正在移动的接入点404,或地理区域部分重叠(例如,第一地理区域在第二区域的边缘上并且一部分在第二区域的外面)的接入点404和蜂窝塔406。使得地理区域604和802不同的原因的其它示例可以是针对具有不同级别的精确度或精密度的其它定位技术、系统或服务的,例如GPS和无线电塔。
在某些实现方式中,地图502的缩放比例可以基于所选择的地理区域、用来确定或估计地理区域的技术/系统/服务或某些其它要求而不同。例如,如果如上所述使用接入点404确定的第一地理区域被选择为作为图5A的地理区域516被呈现,则缩放比例可以比使用蜂窝塔406所确定的第二地理区域被选择为作为地理区域802被呈现时的更大。当当前位置对象514被选择时,地图602的缩放比例例如可以保持一样。继续该示例,如果被确定在移动设备100上使用的默认放大级别与当前使用的放大级别接近,则放大级别可以保持不变,例如,如果默认级别是街道放大并且当前放大级别是在城市视图中,则不进行任何改变。如果当前放大级别是州视图,并且默认级别是街道视图,则地图602例如可以被改为街道视图。
围绕地理区域802的圆的线宽可以基于放大级别来改变,或者线宽保持相同。例如,线宽可以在进行放大而更接近地图时变得更大或更小。线宽以及/或圆上的十字、刻度线等的长度可以基于指数算法、线性算法或某些其它算法。
图9图示出用于获得有关移动设备100的方向的界面的示例。方向对象510的选择例如可以调出方向界面。方向界面可以使得移动设备100的用户能够得到去往任意位置或从其来的方向。在某些实现方式中,书签列表中的当前位置书签可以被自动插入开始位置902。开始位置902也可以使用键盘908来手动输入。结束位置904可以利用结束书签列表对象906来从书签列表中选择或可以使用键盘908来手动输入。如果当前位置未被用作开始位置902,则其可以被用作结束位置904(例如,通过从书签列表中选择当前位置书签)。
开始位置902和结束位置904可以利用交换对象910来交换。例如,交换对象可以被用来使得结束位置904成为新的开始位置而使得开始位置902成为新的结束位置。
在某些实现方式中,如果想要利用移除开始位置对象912来得到不同的开始位置,则用户例如可以从开始位置902移除当前位置书签。可替换地,用户可以使用键盘908来手动输入新的位置作为开始位置902。在其它实现方式中,用户可以从书签列表中选择当前位置书签或另一位置书签来作为开始位置。如果开始位置902是空的,则可以用与结束书签列表对象906类似的开始书签列表对象(未示出)来取代移除开始位置对象912。在已经输入开始位置902和结束位置904之后,可以选择路径对象914,并且从开始位置902到结束位置904的路径的方向和任意其它信息可以被显示在地图(例如,地图502)上。
图10图示出被显示在地图1001上的路径1002的方向的示例。用户例如可以使用图9的方向界面来从获得从城市A的地理区域1003的中心或形心到目的地地址(例如,在键盘908上输入的地址,选择的加书签的地址)的方向。开始针1004或其它位置标记可以被放置在地理区域1003的中心或形心来表示移动设备100的估计的当前位置;移动设备100的实际位置可以是在地理区域1003内的任何位置。结束针1006可以被放置在目的地地址处。
开始针1004和结束针1006之间的方向的路径1002可以被高亮显示或以某种其它方式描绘来清楚地显示路径。在某些实现方式中,开始针1004具有街道标签1008,其显示开始针1004被置于的街道的名称。街道标签1008可以具有用户可选择的对象1010。选择1010可以显示这样的界面,作为几个示例,其例如使得用户能够改变路径1002的显示来示出依次转弯方向或来选择其它选项。
具有放落针的示例地图视图
图11图示出当用户选择地图视图对象512时所呈现的菜单。当地图视图对象512被选择时,地图502可以以卷页或翻页图形效果1102被显示,来使得菜单1103被呈现在触敏显示器102的底部。在某些实现方式中,这模仿剥开地图502的一层来露出底下一层中的菜单1103。翻页图形效果1102例如也可以使得诸如书签列表、地址薄、方向界面、电话薄、日历、计算器或其它信息之类的其它内容被呈现。在某些其它实现方式中,翻页图形效果1102可以使得另外的内容朝向触敏显示器102的上、左、右或中显示。作为几个示例,翻页图形效果1102例如可以是半页卷曲、或整页卷曲。
利用地图视图对象512的选择而呈现的菜单1103可以包含用户可选择的对象,包括放落针(drop pin)对象1104和显示交通对象1106。地图502的地图视图可以利用地图对象1108、卫星对象1110和混合对象1112来改变。也可以显示列表对象1114。
显示交通对象1106可以在地图502上显示交通相关的信息。例如,交通拥挤的道路可以在地图502上被用红色高亮显示。地图对象1108可以选择地图502的基本背景(例如,仅街道、高速公路等被显示)。卫星对象1110可以选择将呈现地图502的卫星视图。卫星视图可以包含地形,例如,树木、丘陵、山脉、建筑等等。混合对象1112可以具有地图502上所呈现的基本背景与卫星视图的组合。例如,以其上重叠道路信息的方式显示地形信息。
列表对象1114例如可以被用来显示位于地图502上所显示的区域中或在当前地理区域516的附近的一个或多个商家、地标、地址或其它位置的列表。在某些实现方式中,商家的列表可以是滚动列表,或该列表被重叠在地图502的上面,例如,商家的名称和位置可以被显示在地图502上。在某些实现方式中,列表中的商家等可以用名称或街道来组织。在某些实现方式中,商家、地标等通过从其接收到有关商家、地标等的信息的那些基于位置的服务被排列顺序。基于位置的服务可以基于各种标准(例如,受欢迎度,与设备的用户所输入的搜索查询的相关性,等等)来对列表进行排序。选择列表对象1114可以改变地图502的放大级别,使得不会有太多信息被显示在地图502上(例如,如果用户在人口密集的区域,则地图可以比用户在乡下区域中时被放大更大)。
在某些实现方式中,当在方向模式有效(例如,地图示出路径的方向)的同时选择列表对象1114时,所显示的列表是路线的转弯方向的列表。
放落针对象1104例如可以使得用户能够将针或其它位置标记放落在地图502上。当用户将针放落在地图(例如,地图502)上时,专门的放落针书签被置于书签列表中。在某些实现方式中,地图可以在任意时刻具有一个定制放落针。在某些其它实现方式中,地图可以在任何时刻具有多于一个的放落针。用户可以将针放落在地图上来标记任意位置和保持对其的跟踪。例如,用户接收到朋友的当前位置并且希望将针放落在地图上朋友所在的位置。用户可以使用放落针来获得从移动设备100的当前位置到放落针的位置(例如,他们朋友的位置)的方向。在多个放落针的情况中,用户可以使用放落针来获得从一个任意位置到另一任意位置的方向。
图12示出在地图1201上的放落针1202的示例。放落针1202例如可以具有向移动设备100的用户提供信息的标签1204。在某些实现方式中,标签1204可以显示有关放落针1202所置于的位置的信息,例如,城市和州或街道名称。标签1204可以包括用户可选择的箭头1206。在某些实现方式中,当用户选择箭头1206时,其它内容(例如,另外的信息,用户可选择的菜单选项,等等)被显示。在某些实施方式中,放落针1202可以通过在触敏显示器102上将其拖拽到另一位置来移动。放落针1202可以是任意位置,例如,用户在将来需要到达的位置,需要方向的朋友的位置或某些其它参考点。
图13图示出显示设备100上所显示的放落针菜单1302。放落针菜单1302例如可以通过双击图12中的放落针1202或通过选择箭头1206来访问。放落针菜单1302例如可以与放落针(例如,放落针1202)相关联。放落针菜单1302可以包含添加到书签对象1304、去往这里的方向对象1308和从这里出发的方向对象1308和移除针对象1310。
在某些实现方式中,添加到书签对象1304可以为放落针1202的当前位置在书签列表中创建书签。当书签被添加到书签列表时,专门的放落针书签例如可以从书签列表中移除,或专门的放落针书签可以保留在书签列表中。
去往这里的方向对象1306可以调出用于获得去往放落针1202的当前位置的方向的方向界面。例如,如果放落针1202被置于用户在稍后需要返回到的位置,则用户可以在他们需要方向时双击放落针1202。继续该示例,如果用户已经估计出所选择的当前位置(例如,估计出的地理区域的形心),选择去往这里的方向对象1306可以调出将估计出的当前位置填写为开始位置,并且将结束位置填写为放落针1202这样的方向界面。作为几个示例,这使得移动设备100的用户可以容易地返回它们最近去过的另一位置或去到朋友的位置。
从这里出发的方向对象1308可以调出方向界面,并且使得用户可以选择或输入结束位置。从这里出发的方向对象1308例如可以在用户被给与去往位于放落针1202处的朋友的方向时被选择。从这里出发的方向对象1308可以被选择,继续该示例,书签(例如,具有移动设备100的用户的家庭地址的家庭书签)或手动输入的位置可以被选择作为结束位置。作为几个另外的示例,去往这里的方向对象1306和从这里出发的方向对象1308也可以被用来提供去往医生的指定地点或运动事件的放落针1202或从那儿出发的路径信息。
移除针对象1310可以使得用户可以从地图502中移除当前选择的放落针1202。在某些实现方式中,放落针1202是唯一的(例如,在任意时刻在地图上仅存在一个放落针),并且在其它实现方式中,在任意时刻在地图上存在多于一个的放落针。如果不再需要放落针1202的位置,例如,放落针的位置已经利用添加到书签对象1304被添加到书签列表,则用户可以选择移除针对象1310。
图14图示出当地图上存在放落针时通过地图视图对象512呈现的菜单。在该实现方式中,作为几个示例,在任意时刻在地图上仅存在一个放落针以保持对感兴趣的点或将仅去往一次的目的地的跟踪。用户例如可以将当前的放落针1202保存到书签列表来保持对多个感兴趣的点的跟踪。继续该示例,放落针对象1104被替换针对象1402代替。当替换针对象1402被选择时,例如,当前放落针(例如,放落针1202)被从地图移除,并且新的针被放落到地图上。旧的放落针(例如,放落针1202)当前在地图上不可见。
在某些其它实现方式中,存在多于一个的放落针。在该示例中,放落针对象1104和替换针对象1402可以在通过选择地图视图对象512所呈现的菜单中可见。用户例如可以命名放落针来在地图502上保持对他们的跟踪。
图15图示出在选择从这里出发的方向对象1308之后的方向界面的示例。在该情况中,当方向界面被显示时,放落针1202的位置被填充为开始位置1502。用户可以利用结束书签列表对象906或键盘908来选择结束位置904。交换对象910可以被选择来交换开始位置1502和结束位置904。例如,如果用户改变计划,则通过选择移除开始位置对象912和利用键盘908输入新的开始位置或者通过从书签列表中选择位置,开始位置1502可以从放落针1202被改为另一位置。当开始位置1502和结束位置904两者都已被输入,则路径对象914可以被选择为在地图(例如,地图1201)上显示方向。
当用户选择去往这里的方向对象1306时,方向界面也可以被输入。在该情况中,当方向界面被显示时,放落针1202的位置被填充为结束位置904。
图16图示出被置于图8中的地理区域802的形心处的放落针1602。当移动设备100的地理区域(例如,地理区域802)被显示在地图(例如,地图602)上并且放落针1602被显示在地图上时,放落针1602被置于地理区域的形心处。用户可以在地理区域802内或在地图602上将放落针1602拖拽到另一位置,如果希望通过选择放落针(例如,通过在放落针1602的位置处触摸触敏显示器102)如此的话。在某些实现方式中,放落针1602可以具有标签1604,其可以呈现有关放落针1602的位置的信息或给用户的指令。放落针1602例如可以经由利用标签1604中的箭头1606所访问的放落针菜单1302而被保存为书签列表中的永久书签。

为了提供与用户的交互,公开的实施例可以在具有显示设备的计算机上实现,例如,用于向用户显示信息的显示设备(例如,CRT(阴极射线管)或LCD(液晶显示器)监视器)和用户用来向计算机提供输入的键盘和点选设备(例如,鼠标或跟踪球)。其它类型的设备也可以用于提供与用户的交互;例如,提供给用户的反馈可以是任何形式的感测反馈,例如,视觉反馈、听觉反馈或触觉反馈;并且来自用户的输入可以以任意形式接收,包括声音的、语音的或触觉的输入。
公开的实施例可以在计算机系统中实现,计算机系统包括后端组件(例如,数据服务器),或包括中间件组件(例如,应用服务器),或包括前端组件(例如,具有图形用户界面的客户端计算机或用户可以用来利用这里公开的内容的执行进行交互的网络浏览器),或者这样的后端、中间件或前端组件的一个或多个的任意组合。系统的组件可以以数字数据通信(例如,通信网络)的任何形式或者介质互连。通信网络的示例包括局域网(“LAN”)和广域网(“WAN”),例如互联网。
计算系统可以包括客户端和服务器。客户端和服务器一般相互远离并且通信通过通信网络来交互。客户端和服务器的关系由于计算机程序在各个计算机上运行并且相互具有客户端-服务器关系而出现。

Claims (26)
1.一种方法,包括:
使用第一定位系统来估计设备当前所位于的第一地理区域;
使用第二定位系统来估计所述设备当前所位于的第二地理区域;
如果所述第一地理区域被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第一地图视图,所述第一地图视图包括在所述第一地图视图上的所述第一地理区域的指示;以及
如果所述第一地理区域未被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第二地图视图,所述第二地图视图包括在所述第二地图视图上的所述第二地理区域的指示。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述第一定位系统与第一级位置精度相关联,并且所述第二定位系统与第二级位置精度相关联,所述第二级位置精度低于所述第一级精度。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,使用第一定位系统来估计设备当前所位于的第一地理区域包括:
使用所述第一定位系统来估计所述设备的当前位置以及与所估计出的当前位置相关联并且至少部分地围绕所估计出的当前位置的误差区域,其中所述第一地理区域包括所估计出的误差区域。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,使用第二定位系统来估计所述设备当前所位于的第二地理区域包括:
使用所述第二定位系统来估计所述设备的当前位置以及与所估计出的当前位置相关联并且至少部分地围绕所估计出的当前位置的误差区域,其中所述第二地理区域包括所估计出的误差区域。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,还包括,如果所述第一地理区域的指示被呈现,则:
生成路径的路径信息,其中,所述路径的一个端点是所述第一地理区域的形心;并且
呈现所述路径信息。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,还包括,如果所述第二地理区域的指示被呈现,则:
生成路径的路径信息,其中,所述路径的一个端点是所述第二地理区域的形心;并且
呈现所述路径信息。
7.一种移动设备,包括:
显示器;
一个或多个处理器;以及
存储用于由所述一个或多个处理器执行的指令的计算机可读介质,所述指令包括用来进行以下操作的指令:
使用第一定位系统来估计设备当前所位于的第一地理区域;
使用第二定位系统来估计所述设备当前所位于的第二地理区域;
如果所述第一地理区域被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第一地图视图,所述第一地图视图包括在所述第一地图视图上的所述第一地理区域的指示;以及
如果所述第一地理区域未被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第二地图视图,所述第二地图视图包括在所述第二地图视图上的所述第二地理区域的指示。
8.根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中,所述第一定位系统与第一级位置精度相关联,并且所述第二定位系统与第二级位置精度相关联,所述第二级位置精度低于所述第一级精度。
9.根据权利要求7所述的设备,还包括用于进行以下操作的指令:
使用所述第一定位系统来估计所述设备的当前位置以及与所估计出的当前位置相关联并且至少部分地围绕所估计出的当前位置的误差区域,其中所述第一地理区域包括所估计出的误差区域。
10.根据权利要求7所述的设备,还包括用于进行以下操作的指令:
使用所述第二定位系统来估计所述设备的当前位置以及与所估计出的当前位置相关联并且至少部分地围绕所估计出的当前位置的误差区域,其中所述第二地理区域包括所估计出的误差区域。
11.根据权利要求7所述的设备,还包括用于进行以下操作的指令:
生成路径的路径信息,其中,所述路径的一个端点是所述第一地理区域的形心;并且
呈现所述路径信息。
12.根据权利要求7所述的设备,还包括用于进行以下操作的指令:
生成路径的路径信息,其中,所述路径的一个端点是所述第二地理区域的形心;并且
呈现所述路径信息。
13.一种计算机程序产品,被编码在有形程序载体上,可操作使得便携式设备执行以下操作:
使用第一定位系统来估计设备当前所位于的第一地理区域;
使用第二定位系统来估计所述设备当前所位于的第二地理区域;
如果所述第一地理区域被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第一地图视图,所述第一地图视图包括在所述第一地图视图上的所述第一地理区域的指示;以及
如果所述第一地理区域未被包含在所述第二地理区域内,则呈现第二地图视图,所述第二地图视图包括在所述第二地图视图上的所述第二地理区域的指示。
14.一种方法,包括:
呈现地图视图;
接收请求任意位置标记的用户输入;以及
呈现将所述任意位置标记放置在所述地图视图上的任意位置处的地图视图。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,还包括:
接收移动所述任意位置标记的用户输入;以及
基于所述用户输入将所述任意位置标记定位到新的位置处。
16.根据权利要求14所述的方法,还包括:
生成路径的路径信息,其中,所述路径的一个端点是所述地图视图上由所述任意位置标记指示的位置;以及
呈现所述路径信息。
17.一种方法,包括:
在第一视觉图形层上呈现地图视图;
接收呈现另一内容的请求;
呈现关于所述地图视图的翻页图形效果,所述翻页效果模仿部分地翻开所述第一视觉图形层以露出第二视觉图形层;以及
在所述第二视觉图形层上呈现所述另一内容。
18.根据权利要求17所述的方法,其中,所述另一内容包括与所述地图视图相关联的菜单。
19.一种方法,包括:
呈现地图视图;以及
在所述地图视图上呈现区域的指示,其中,所述区域表示设备所位于的地理区域。
20.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,所述区域是整个所述地图视图,并且所述指示包括围住所述地图视图的形状。
21.根据权利要求19所述的方法,其中,所述区域是所述地图视图的一部分。
22.根据权利要求21所述的方法,其中,所述指示包括围绕所述区域的一个或多个圆圈。
23.根据权利要求22所述的方法,其中,所述指示还包括一个或多个十字。
24.根据权利要求22所述的方法,其中,所述圆圈中各个圆圈的厚度是所述地图视图的放大级别的函数。
25.根据权利要求21所述的方法,其中,所述区域以第一色泽呈现并且所述地图视图的在所述区域外面的一部分以第二色泽呈现。
26.一种图形用户界面,包括:
地图视图;以及
所述地图视图上的区域的指示,所述区域表示设备所位于的地理区域,其中,所述指示包括圆圈和一个或多个十字。
