Abstract

发明领域
本发明涉及机动车紫外光感应标记,特别涉及一种当不规则地用作停车或其他灯部件时能够显示紫外光感应标记的停车或其他外部照明系统。
背景技术
机动车的中央高架停车灯(Center high mounted stop lamp,简称CHMSL)组件是主要用途为指示制动条件的常规照明组件的一个例子。一般而言,中央高架停车灯组件安装在汽车后窗内或后甲板上,与制动灯系统连接,照射一个延伸的、通常为矩形的区域。中央高架停车灯组件为制动灯系统提供增强的可见度,并因此构成车辆安全系统的一个重要部分。
保险杠标签和其他后方车辆标牌已成为一种公认的自我说明部件。然而,在夜晚或其它低水平光线条件下大多数保险杠标签或其它标牌很难被察觉到。因此,以车辆标牌和保险杠标签为媒介的个体自我说明通常限用于白天。而且,可用于自我说明标识的有效空间略限于车辆的后表面。例如,出于安全考虑,不可能覆盖留给CHMSL和其它照明部件的空间。
汽车工业易于接受任何美观的装置或令车辆更为美观的技术。因此,需要一种改进的、令外观更吸引人的技术,以在车辆后方呈现标牌、标识或其它形式的说明,特别是在夜间和在此前未利用的车辆表面区域。
发明内容
本发明提供一种具有面向后方的外部表面的机动车。该机动车包括具有向所述面向后方的外部表面展示的光透射屏幕的壳体。所述壳体内设有主要可见光源,用于沿一路径向所述光透射屏幕发射可见光。所述壳体内于所述光路上设有荧光涂层标识。选择性地开启设于所述壳体内的次要紫外光光源,使其发射紫外光至所述荧光涂层标识上,产生可视趣味画面,通过所述光透射屏幕展示给所述机动车后方的人员。
本发明的车辆照明系统具有显著的优势。所述车辆的面向后方的外部表面产生新区域用于展示标牌或其它说明标识。所述主要可见光源可作为车辆后方照明系统的一部分,例如用作制动灯、信号灯、标志灯或用于其它用途。因此,该新颖的车辆照明设备便于结合于单一壳体内,通过主要可见光源操作的传统车辆照明部分和通过次要紫外光光源启动的次要荧光涂层标识均设于该壳体内。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供一种选择性展示汽车发光标识的方法,包括下列步骤:在阻隔的紫外光壳体内设置主要可见光源、次要紫外光光源和荧光涂层标识;当所述主要可见光源保持闲置时,用紫外光照射所述荧光涂层标识;以及自动关闭所述次要紫外光光源以响应开启所述主要可见光源。
本发明的方法每逢照明设备需用于其主要用途时,通过自动关闭所述次要紫外光光源,控制所述照明设备的主要用途与次要用途之间的冲突。

具体实施例
参照附图,其中相似的标号指代相似或相应的部分。一具有代表性的汽车10如图1所示。该汽车10包括面向后方的外部表面,该表面设有后窗12、一对后制动灯组件14以及其它标准件。CHMSL组件16安装于汽车10上以透过后窗12可见。当驾驶员触及制动踏板并由此启动制动系统,CHMSL组件16被启动,同制动灯14一起照射出延伸的、通常为矩形的红色区域,以向后面的驾驶员发出制动感应减速信号。
参照图2,CHMSL16包括安装或固定于汽车10上的壳体18。在某些汽车里,该壳体18从内车顶或顶棚部分挂下,然而,在另一些汽车中,该壳体18安装于汽车后箱盖上或汽车外部行李箱上。当然,该壳体18也可不必作为CHMSL16本身的一部分,而是结合于车内顶灯组件、后制动灯组件或其它这类结构中。壳体18包括面向后方展示的光透射屏幕20。典型地,尽管不必要,该光透射屏幕20仍将构成壳体18的仅可通过可见光的封闭端。该光透射屏幕20可具有光学特性,例如视为需要的透镜化或着色特征。此外,在某些情况下,该光透射屏幕20可与汽车10的后窗12一体成型。
壳体18内设置一个或多个主要可见光源22,用于沿一路径向光透射屏幕20发射可见光。在该较佳实施例中,该主要可见光源22包括一排发光二极管(light emitting diodes,简称LED’s)或其它具有良好的功率消耗、尺寸和温度特性的光发生元件。虽然如此,仍可利用具有足够光输出强度的单一光源22以达到类似的效果。主要光源22设于壳体18内,水平、横向地位于汽车10内,使得该光源22发出的光射入具有一定形状的透光材料中,该透光材料可使光在其内传播和反射。该透光材料形状可采用收集器24和扩散器26存留或未存留间隙地端对端连接的形式。该收集器24和扩散器26可由硅树脂材料制成,尽管也可用其它本技术领域的普通技术人员习知的材料例如环氧树脂或聚氨酯或不透明材料制成。
该收集器24和扩散器26相结合的结构帮助均匀混合和传播来自多个光源22的光图案并指引这些光图案穿过扩散器26的出射面28。虽然图中用一个元件展示该收集器24和扩散器26,该收集器24/扩散器26也可分开设置,并可设计为适合每一个或两个独立光源22的一排多个子单元。
出射面28射出的光,沿光路,传入另一个基本为透明盘30形式的光学部件。该透明盘30永久固定于壳体18内或者更优选可移动地支撑于一交替机构32上,该交替机构32可由用户方便地用一不同的透明盘30替换。一荧光涂层标识设于透明盘30的一面上。可采用荧光材料如锶、锌、硫化镉或任何其它曝露于紫外光下可吸收光能、发射可见光的材料或颜料。选用不同的荧光材料或材料混合以发出不同颜色的可见光。无论选择哪种特定荧光材料,其优选在没有紫外光照射时通常为透明或不可见的材料。
壳体18内还设置次要紫外光光源36。选择性开启该次要紫外光光源36,向荧光涂层标识34发射紫外光,产生可视趣味画面,通过光透射屏幕20向位于该汽车后方的人员展示。因此,当启动该次要紫外光光源36,荧光涂层标识34吸收相应波长的光能,而后发出可见光。主要光源22的光色,例如用于停止光应用的“红色”,将在标识34向上游的光路上产生,以使得不影响或改变发光标识34视觉上的特殊性。例如,用于停止光应用的红色可通过红光发射主要光源22或与收集器24/扩散器26一起使用的着色剂或薄膜获得。
光透射屏幕20上具有紫外光阻隔剂,使得紫外光无法射出壳体18。壳体18的其它部分也由阻止紫外光穿过的材料制成。通过这种方法,外面的观察者完全不会察觉到次要光源36发射出的紫外光。然而,该紫外光使得荧光涂层标识34发出具有给人深刻印象的可视效果的可见光颜色。结合进光透射屏幕20的紫外光阻隔剂可以薄膜形式应用于屏幕20内表面,如图2所示;或者光透射屏幕20可被涂上适当的紫外光阻隔材料。当然,也可采用其它技术。
图3是具有荧光涂层标识34的透明盘30的立体简图,该荧光涂层标识34任意以单词“TEAM”为例。在此,次要紫外光光源36处于闲置状态,其结果是对于外部观察者,该荧光涂层标识34完全不可见且无法察觉。因此,如果CHMSL16随制动灯系统启动,来自主要光源22的光通过收集器24/扩散器26,并通过无显著荧光涂层标识的光透射屏幕20发出。然而,当启动次要紫外光光源36,如图4所示,紫外光照射荧光涂层标识34导致其发光。由此,观察者,特别是那些位于汽车10后方的观察者,特别是在夜晚,能够识别该荧光涂层标识34,并欣赏这种预定说明。优选地,在没有不利于主要光源22颜色输出的影响下,发光标识24可与主要光源22同时保持开启状态。因此,如果主要光源22用作例如红色停止,那么标识34可保持发光,而不会不适当地改变观察者所观察到的红色。然而,如果颜色改变是不能接受的,可利用一控制电路将主要可见光源22和次要紫外光光源36电连接,通过这种方式,次要紫外光光源36仅在主要可见光源22关闭时启动。因此,可通过通用CHMSL组件16和壳体18避免两个照明系统之间的冲突。
现在参照图5,本发明的第一可选实施例如图所示。方便起见,符号(‘)标识结合相应前述参考数字用于该实施例中。在此,CHMSL组件16’包括与收集器24’和扩散器26’相邻设置的主要光源22’。这些部件在外观和功能上与前述实施例相似。然而,在本实施例中,省略了透明盘30,荧光涂层标识34’直接设置于扩散器26’的出射面28’上。光学紫外光滤光器38’可设于次要紫外光光源36’和荧光涂层标识34’之间。紫外光滤光器38’仅允许预定波长的紫外光通过。例如,具代表性的紫外光的波长可为365nm。因此,当紫外光光源36’开启,将产生较宽波长范围内的光,然而滤光器38’仅允许波长为365nm的光通过荧光涂层标识34’。在某些情况下,这是有利的。不同成分、响应不同波长的紫外光的荧光涂层标识34’可用于与不同紫外光滤光器38’相呼应以实现附加照射效果。如果选择性选用荧光涂层标识使得其荧光材料对某一波长的紫外光照射起反应而不被另一波长的紫外光影响,可在任何给定时间,选择开启多个紫外光滤光器38’及其次要紫外光光源36’,以使仅部分荧光涂层标识34’感光。由此,可通过单一系统实现多种说明。
图5通过主要光源22发出的光线的投影光束图案40’举例说明了该光线的平滑色散。在此举例说明,光束图案40’以均匀的椭圆形的形式扩展,向汽车10后面的驾驶员展现出平滑的光学表现。然而,值得欣赏的是,可通过最优化收集器24’和扩散器26’设计和/或通过在该光学系统中结合透镜或反射镜获得其它非椭圆发光图案。
在图6中以简图形式例举了本发明的第二可选实施例。方便起见,符号(“)标识与结合前面引入的参考数字用于该实施例中。在该实施例中,荧光涂层标识34”直接应用于光透射屏幕20”的内表面。因此,前述例子中的透明盘30再次省略。为了实现可交替展示,光透射屏幕20”可于某些形式的交替机构一同设置,以便于具有不同形式荧光涂层标识34”的另一光透射屏幕20”替换。所示控制电路42”以前述方式将主要可见光源22”和次要紫外光光源16”电连接。
根据本发明的任一前述实施例,可实现一种从汽车10选择性展示发光标识的方法。该方法包括在紫外光密封壳体18内设置主要可见光源22、次要紫外光光源36和荧光涂层标识34。当主要可见光源22闲置时,用次要紫外光光源36发出的紫外光照射荧光涂层标识34。通过该技术,经结合在壳体18内的光透射屏幕20,荧光涂层标识34对外部观察者可见。控制电路自动关闭次要紫外光光源36以响应正开启的主要可见光源22,使得同一壳体18内的两个照明系统之间没有冲突。无论何时开启主要光源22,荧光涂层标识34对于观察者而言都是基本不可见的。优选地,虽然不必要,荧光涂层标识设于可移动透明盘30或可移动光透射屏幕20”上,使得说明方式可以时常变化。自动关闭次要紫外光光源36的步骤响应制动感应汽车减速,例如当驾驶员压下制动踏板时发生的汽车减速。
很显然,根据上述说明,可对本发明作多种修改和变化。例如,几个实施例的各种部件或区别之处通常可以互换。因此,可以理解,本发明并不局限于以上特定描述,而可涵盖所附权利要求范围的所有实现方式。
Claims (22)
1.一种具有面向后方的外部表面的机动车,包括:
壳体,设有面向后方展示的光透射屏幕;
产生可见光的主要可见光源,设于所述壳体内以沿一路径向所述光透射屏幕发射可见光;
荧光涂层标识,设于壳体内的一透明的支持表面上并位于所述光路上,以至于所述主要可见光源投射的可见光在它投向所述光透射屏幕的路径上同时穿过所述荧光涂层标识和所述透明的支持表面;以及
产生紫外光线的次要紫外光光源,设于所述壳体内并被选择性开启以发射紫外光至所述荧光涂层标识上,产生可视趣味画面,通过所述光透射屏幕展示给所述机动车后方的人员;且
其中,所述的荧光涂层标识是透明的且在非供能条件下是不可见的,以至于在实践中不被外部观察者所察觉;所述机动车包括后窗,所述光透射屏幕通过该后窗可见,所述主要可见光源由制动灯系统控制;
进一步包括电连接所述主要可见光源和所述次要紫外光光源的控制电路,该控制电路用于在启动所述主要可见光源的同时自动关闭所述次要紫外光光源。
2.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,其中所述壳体由紫外光阻隔材料制成。
3.根据权利要求2所述的机动车,其中所述光透射屏幕包括紫外光阻隔剂。
4.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,其中所述光透射屏幕包括含于所述壳体内的内表面,所述荧光涂层标识设于所述光透射屏幕的所述内表面上。
5.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,进一步包括设于所述壳体内所述光路上的半透明光色散元件。
6.根据权利要求5所述的机动车,其中所述荧光涂层标识设于所述半透明光色散元件上。
7.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,进一步包括设于所述壳体内所述光路上的透明盘。
8.根据权利要求7所述的机动车,其中所述荧光涂层标识设于所述透明盘上。
9.根据权利要求8所述的机动车,进一步包括用于在所述壳体内可移动地支撑所述荧光涂层标识的交替机构。
10.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,其中所述主要可见光源包括一列发光二极管。
11.根据权利要求1所述的机动车,其中所述次要紫外光光源包括用于阻隔除预定波长的紫外光外所有光线的滤光器。
12.一种车辆照明设备,包括:
壳体,设有面向后方展示的光透射屏幕;
产生可见光的主要可见光源,设于所述壳体内以沿一路径向所述光透射屏幕发射可见光;
荧光涂层标识,设于壳体内的一透明的支持表面上并位于所述光路上,以至于所述主要可见光源投射的可见光在它投向所述光透射屏幕的路径上同时穿过所述荧光涂层标识和所述透明的支持表面;以及
产生紫外光线的次要紫外光光源,设于所述壳体内并被选择性开启以发射紫外光至所述荧光涂层标识上,产生可视趣味画面,通过所述光透射屏幕向外部人员展示;且
其中,所述的荧光涂层标识是透明的且在非供能条件下是不可见的,以至于在实践中不被外部观察者所察觉;
进一步包括电连接所述主要可见光源和所述次要紫外光光源的控制电路,该控制电路用于在启动所述主要可见光源的同时自动关闭所述次要紫外光光源。
13.根据权利要求12所述的车辆照明设备,其中所述壳体由紫外光阻隔材料制成。
14.根据权利要求13所述的车辆照明设备,其中所述光透射屏幕包括紫外光阻隔剂。
15.根据权利要求12所述的车辆照明设备,其中所述光透射屏幕包括含于所述壳体内的内表面,所述荧光涂层标识设于所述光透射屏幕的所述内表面上。
16.根据权利要求12所述的车辆照明设备,进一步包括设于所述壳体内所述光路上的半透明光色散元件。
17.根据权利要求16所述的车辆照明设备,其中所述荧光涂层标识设于所述半透明光色散元件上。
18.根据权利要求12所述的车辆照明设备,进一步包括设于所述壳体内所述光路上的透明盘。
19.根据权利要求18所述的车辆照明设备,其中所述荧光涂层标识设于所述透明盘上。
20.根据权利要求19所述的车辆照明设备,进一步包括用于在所述壳体内可移动地支撑所述荧光涂层标识的交替机构。
