Als kupferabgebende Mittel kommen ziun Beispiel Salze des zweiwertigen Kupfers, wie Kupfersulfat, in Betracht, ferner Verbin dungen, die Kupfer in komplexer Bindung enthalten, wie Kupferoxyd-Ammoniak. Die Einwirkung der kupferabgebenden Mittel er folgt beispielsweise in schwach saurem, neu tralem oder alkalischem Medium, gegebenen falls unter Verwendung geeigneter Zusätze;
Additional patent to main patent no. 245989. Process for the production of an azo dye. It has been found that a valuable azo dye can be produced if diazotized 4-amino-4'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzene-3,3'-dicarboxylic acid with 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-4 ', 7-disulfonoäure couples and lets copper-releasing agent act on the dye thus obtained.
When dry, the new dye is a black powder that dissolves in water or dilute caustic soda with violet, in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves with a blue color and dyes cotton from a bath containing sodium sulphate in bluish purple tones.
The diazotization of 4-amino-4'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzene-3; 3'-dicarboxylic acid can be carried out before geous in an indirect way, for example, by adding nitrite to a neutral or alkaline solution of the starting material and pouring it into cooled Acid solution is poured. The coupling can be carried out in a known manner in non-acidic, e.g. B. weakly alkaline @ medium.
Examples of copper-releasing agents are salts of divalent copper, such as copper sulfate, and compounds which contain copper in complex bonds, such as copper oxide-ammonia. The action of the copper-releasing agent he follows, for example, in a weakly acidic, neutral or alkaline medium, if necessary using suitable additives;
as such there may be mentioned: alkali salts of aliphatic carboxylic acids, such as sodium acetate, or aliphatic oxycarboxylic acids, such as sodium tartrate, organic bases, such as pyridine, and other acid-binding agents. Example:
3e0.1 parts of 4-amino-4'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzene-3,3'-dicarboxylic acid are dissolved with 27 parts of 30% strength sodium hydroxide solution in 200 parts of water, and 7 parts of sodium nitrite are added. This solution is poured into a mixture of 200 parts of ice and 50 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid. The mixture is stirred for 2 hours at 5 to 10.
The diazo paste is then poured into a cooled solution of 39.5 parts of 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-4 ', 7-disulfonic acid and 50 parts of sodium carbonate in 250 parts of water. After coupling, the dye is salted out and filtered. Then it is dissolved in 1000 parts of water and a little ammonia solution at 80 and a solution of 55 parts of crystalline is poured. Copper sulfate in 350 parts of water and 160 parts of saturated ammonia solution.
The mixture is heated to 80 for 1 hour and the copper-containing dye is precipitated by adding sodium chloride. It is filtered and dried.
