Nach be endeter Kupplung erwärmt man auf80',
Additional patent to main patent no. 135748. Process for the production of an azo dye. It has been found that a new metal-containing azo dye is obtained when mar, 2 mol. 2-amino-5-o, xynaphthalir-7-sulfonic acid, 1 mol. Diazotized 1-amino-2-benzo-Icarboxylic acid, 1 Mol. Diazotized 1-oxy-2-aminobenzene-4-sulfonic acid,
1 mole of phosgene and copper-releasing agent can act on each other and these various operations are carried out in such a way that the treatment with the copper-releasing agents is not carried out before the coupling reaction and the treatment with phosgene is not carried out at the same time as another operation Dye forms a dark red-brown powder, dissolves in water with a burgundy color and produces burgundy shades of excellent lightfastness on cotton or artificial silk, such as viscose or hupferoxydammoniak silk.
Example The urea is prepared in a known manner from 2 mol. 2-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-su, ifo acid and 1 mol. Phosgene.
69 parts of 1-amino-2'-benzenecarbo @ nic acid are used in 500 parts of water and 60 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid. dissolved, cooled with ice to 5.0 and with 34.5 parts. Sodium nitrite diazotized. The clear diazo solution is allowed to run into a solution of 252 parts of the above urea in 2500 parts of water.
110 parts of crystallized sodium acetate are then added. After about two hours of stirring, the amount of a 10% sodium carbonate solution is gradually added until an alkaline reaction occurs, then 120 parts of sodium carbonate are stirred in and a diazo solution, prepared from 9 parts of 1- oxy-2-aminobenzene- 4-sulfonic acid. After the coupling has ended, the mixture is heated to 80 '
mixed with dilute sulfuric acid until the reaction is weakly Congo acidic, 300 parts of crystallized copper sulfate in the form of a 20% solution are added and the mixture is stirred for two hours at 80 to 85 degrees. The deposited coloric acid of the copper compound is filtered off, with dilute Am - The nionia is stirred at 60 ", the ammonium salt formed is completely eliminated with table salt and filtered off.
The same product is obtained if the azo dyes are first made from dianotated 1-amino-2-benzenecarboxylic acid and dianotated 1-oxy-2-aminobenzene-4-sulphonic acid, and from 2-amino-5-oxynaplethalin -7-sulfo, acid., Which is then combined by means of phosgene and the coppering is carried out simultaneously with the coupling or before or after the treatment with phosgene.
