Le gabarit et le guide pourraient tous deux être maintenus en place par la pression de la broche 10. Pour faire usage de l'outil de la fig. 5, on introduit la plaque 21 entre le gabarit 11 et une portée de l'arbre 9 en en fourchant dans l'ouverture 2.2 la partie cylin drique située entre la face et la portée; en suite, on oriente l'outil de manière que l'un des côtés du gabarit soit contre l'un des cô tés 'de l'équerre;
Process for shaping watch glasses and tools for implementing this process. The subject of the present invention is a process for shaping watch locks and: a tool for setting up this process.
The process consists in freezing a jig and the transparent rriatière plate to be shaped on the same shaft, then in moving said jig in front of a guide freezes while a rotating tool attacks the edge of the plate until the jig can touch the fixed guide through each of the points around its perimeter.
The tooling comprises a machine comprising at least one group of tool-holder and jig-guide shaft, a jig-holder and material-holder shaft, shaft rotatably mounted on a support which is movable parallel to a plane. and means for pressure fixing the shaping material on the jig shaft.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, various parts of the tooling forming the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 shows a machine partially in section, FIG. 2, a sectional detail. fig. 3 a part of the machine in plan, part of which FIG. 4 is the cut along B; fig. 5 is a plan view of an accessory, and FIG. 6 a section on a larger scale of this tool, according to C-D.
On the base 1 of the machine is mounted the support 2i of the headstock of a cutter-holder shaft 4. The cutter, in the example shown. is made of two cylindrical parts 5 and 6 which rotate in a recess of a protective part 7 fixed to the support 2. The part 7 has a slot 7 'facing the plane of separation of the two parts 5 and 6. The support 2 is open at its base to allow a part 8 to pass, the semi-cylindrical end of which is approximately superimposed on the cutter. The position of this part 8 can be modified between certain limits.
A movable support '3 carries a pin 10 connected by articulation to a lever 15 subjected to the action of the spring 16. A shaft. knurled rim 9 is movable around the axis of the spindle 10 and rolls on a thrust ball bearing. On the face of this shaft is placed a template drilled 11 with a threaded part 12 is used to fix. On the face of this part is placed the plate of material to be shaped 1.3 which the pin 10 serves to clamp against the part 12 by means of a movable part 14. This part 14 may have a central hollow through which the end of pin 10 can center it.
Things are adjusted so that the gaba rit 11 is roughly at the level of the part 8 which must serve as a guide and so that the plate I-3 # is opposite the slot 7 '. So that the support 3 is very mobile on its base plane, its base is shaped as shown in FIG. 2, that is to say so that the contact surface is as small as possible. The part of the frame on which the support 3 rests is shaped as shown in FIG. 3. This part has ribs 17 separated from each other by inclined bottom hollows 18 (Fig 4).
Under the face of the support .3 @ is fixed a stud 19 which freely penetrates into a rectilinear opening 20, so that the support 3 can at the same time rotate around the stud 19 and grout ser in the opening 2.0.
The glasses that are to be shaped by the process are non-circular and often have a shape derived from the rectangle. The template shown in fig. 1 has the shape of a rectangle with cut corners and the tool of FIG. 5 is used to set up a blank plate 13, so that its faces are in line with those of the template.
A bracket 24 is mounted on a plate 21 with a 2: 2 opening. This bracket can occupy several positions relative to the axis 23 and be fixed in one of its positions by means of the bolt 26 passing through the slot. in an arc 25. The square 24 is made of two parts which do not overlap exactly, the part 24 'being offset with respect to the other, following the direction of the bisector of the angle, so that it be taken into account that the plate 13 is blank to dimensions larger than those clli template.
The process is implemented as follows: The things being set up and adjusted as indicated in fig. 1 and the shaft 4 being set in motion, the support 3 itself is operated with one hand, to bring the plate 13 into the slot 7 'and, with the other hand, the shaft 9 is acted on , so that, by the combination of the rotation of the shaft 9 and the two movements of the support 3, the ga barit can successively present all the points of its periphery against the guide 8. The shaft and the cutter shown s' apply to the case where the glasses are shaped in unbreakable material, a material which can be attacked by a strawberry.
The purpose of the arrangement of cutters 5 and 6 of slightly different diameters is to give the edge of the glass a stepped shape. The operation is complete when the template can touch the guide at all the points around its periphery.
To shape the real glasses, use is preferably made of a grinding wheel with a horizontal axis, constituting with another guide such as $ an appropriate group. This group can be mounted on a support such as 2, either in place of the latter, or in another part of the base.
Both the jig and the guide could be held in place by the pressure of the spindle 10. To make use of the tool of fig. 5, the plate 21 is introduced between the template 11 and a bearing surface of the shaft 9 by forcing the cylindrical part located between the face and the bearing surface in the opening 2.2; then, the tool is oriented so that one of the sides of the template is against one of the sides' of the square;
it is then easy, while balancing the force of the spring 1.6, to orient the plate 1.3, so as to put its side corresponding to the aforementioned side of the jig against the counterpart side of the upper part of the square. The inclination of the bridges 18 is intended to promote the flow of liquids through which the working parts are sprayed.
