Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE PIGMENTO DE óXIDO DE FERRO PRETO A PARTIR DE óXIDO DE FERRO, E, óXIDO DE FERRO PRETO OU VERMELHO" Um processo para a produção de pigmentos de óxido de ferro preto a partir de óxido de ferro hamatita Fe~ 2~O~ 3~ o qual poderá ser um óxido impuro produzido pelo processo "Ruthner" ou por outros meios, ou o qual poderá ser uma hamatita mineral. O processo poderá ser utilizado para melhorar a qualidade pobre da hematita sintética ou natural, ou para melhorar a sua performance como pigmento vermelho, pela conversão em pigmento preto com as subseq³ente oxidação da magnetita preta assim produzida em hamatita. O processo usa uma reação de suspensão aquosa de baixa temperatura na qual a hematita é contatada com uma fonte solúvel de íons de Fe(II) na presença de uma afonte solúvel de íons de Fe(III) em um meio alcalino aquoso para converter o mesmo em Fe~ 3~O~ 4~.
