Abstract
Un procedimiento para la producción de un pigmento de óxido de hierro negro a partir de óxido de hierro que tiene una estructura cristalina de tipo hematites, caracterizándose el procedimiento en que el hematites está en contacto con una fuente soluble de iones de Fe(II) en presencia de una fuente soluble de iones de Fe(III) y en un medio acuoso alcalino de pH 7, 5 a 11, para convertir el mismo a Fe3O4.
