Abstract

"VELA DE IGNIçãO, ISOLADOR DE ALUMINA PARA VELA DE IGNIçãO E SEU MéTODO DE FABRICAçãO". Em relação ao material do isolador (2) constituído basicamente de alumina estabelece-se a quantidade de Na convertido em Na~ 2~O na faixa de 0,07 a 0,5% em peso. Essa quantidade de Na tem sido considerada como fora de padrão de aceitação por ser alta de mais pelos usuários, porém ao contrário do que se esperava, não ocorre queda da resistência dielétrica nem da resistência mecânica à alta temperatura, conseguindo-se um material do isolador (2) com desempenho compatível ao do material do isolador (2) convencional com menos quantidade de Na. Por esse motivo, à luz do conhecimento, abre-se o campo em utilizar no lugar da alumina de baixo teor de soda convencional, alumina de médio soda ou alumina de soda normal, que são consideravelmente mais baratos, e assim, a presente invenção permite reduzir substancialmente o custo de fabricação do isolador(2) para vela de ignição (100, e em conseq³ência, da vela de ignição (100) que o utiliza.
