Abstract
a invenção é um método e um projeto de planta de ácido sulfúrico para a redução das emissões de so2, so3 e h2so4 no arranque da produção de ácido sulfúrico, em que so2 é convertido em so3 em n leitos sucessivos de catalisador, onde n é um inteiro > 1. os leitos catalíticos finais são usados como absorventes de so2 a so3 durante o procedimento de arranque, e um ou mais dos leitos a jusante do primeiro leito são purgados, separadamente ou simultaneamente, com gás quente, onde m é um inteiro> 1 e m < n, durante o desligamento anterior. além disso, uma purga separada com gás quente é usada no leito final.
