Abstract
ELETRODO ADEQUADO PARA DIMINUIR A DEMANDA QUÍMICA DE OXIGÊNIO DE ÁGUAS RESIDUAIS; SISTEMA ELETROQUÍMICO PARA DIMINUIR A DEMANDA QUÍMICA DE OXIGÊNIO DE ÁGUAS RESIDUAIS INDUSTRIAIS; E MÉTODO PARA DIMINUIR A DEMANDA QUÍMICA DE OXIGÊNIO DE ÁGUAS RESIDUAIS CONTENDO COMPOSTOS OLEOSOS, GLICÓIS OU CERAS. A invenção se refere a um eletrodo adequado para diminuir a demanda química de oxigênio de águas residuais compreendendo: a) um componente permanente; e b) um componente de sacrifício disposto face-a-face e ligado de forma amovível ao componente permanente e em contato elétrico a ele, o dito componente permanente consistindo em um substrato de metal válvula equipado com um revestimento catalítico contendo metais nobres ou óxidos destes, o dito componente de sacrifício contendo ferro elementar. Além disso a invenção se refere a um método para a redução de demanda química de oxigênio em um resíduo aquoso contendo compostos oleosos, glicóis ou ceras, opcionalmente consistindo em um resíduo de fundição, por um processo eletrolítico envolvendo evolução anódica de cloro na presença de ferro trivalente. A evolução de cloro pode ser realizada sobre a superfície de um anodo constituído por um componente permanente de válvulas metálicas ativado cataliticamente acoplado a um componente de sacrifício contendo ferro.
