A presente invenção refere-se a copolímeros de monómeros portadores de grupos ácidos monoetilenicamente insaturados e um outro componente monómero hidrófobo para a prevenção de sedimentações inorgânicas e orgânicas em sistemas de escoamento de água, bem como um processo para a sua preparação.
