Abstract
"PROCESSO DE LIXìVIA DE PRESSãO ATMOSFéRICA PARA MINéRIO DE NìQUEL LATERìTICO". Um processo de lixívia atmosférica na recuperação de níquel e cobalto de minérios laterítico, o referido processo incluindo as etapas de: (a) separar o minério laterítico em uma fração de minério contendo baixo magnésio, e uma fração de minério contendo alto magnésio por mineração seletiva ou classificação pós-mineração; (b) separadamente misturar as frações de minério separadas; (c) lixiviar a fração de minério contendo baixo magnésio com ácido sulfúrico concentrado como uma etapa de lixívia primária; e (d) introduzir a lama de minério com teor de magnésio alto seguinte à conclusão substancial da etapa de lixívia primária e precipitação do ferro como geotita ou outra forma contendo baixo sulfato de óxido de ferro ou hidróxido de ferro, onde o ácido sulfúrico liberado durante a precipitação do ferro é empregado para lixiviar a fração de minério de alto magnésio como uma etapa de lixívia secundária.
