Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "SEPARADOR DE CORREIA TRANSVERSAL DE LARGURA DUPLA". Um sistema de separação de correia transversal é fornecido o qual inclui um par de correias transportadoras lado a lado em cada uma de uma pluralidade de unidades de transporte móveis ao longo de um trajeto de transporte. As correias transportadoras podem ser independentemente operáveis ou de um modo sincronizado, a fim de receber pacotes de uma ou mais estações de indução e tanto descarregar os pacotes em uma estação de descarga apropriada como transferir o pacote para a correia transportadora no outro lado da unidade de transporte. Um sistema de controle é operável para determinar o lado de destino dos pacotes na estação de indução e para ainda determinar a disponibilidade e apropriabilidade das correias transportadoras das unidades de transporte que se aproximam, a fim de determinar se uma correia transportadora disponível é própria ou compatível para receber o próximo pacote na estação de indução. A presente invenção fornece dessa maneira eficazmente a pré-separação dos pacotes conforme são induzidos nas unidades de transporte, de modo que as taxas de produtividade ótima são obtidas sem os processos de pré-separação complexos implementados com os sistemas da técnica anterior. Adicionalmente, as correias transportadoras de uma ou duas unidades de transporte adjacentes podem ser operadas sincronicamente para receber pacotes mais largos através das correias transportadoras lado a lado de uma unidade simples ou para receber pacotes ou produtos superdimensionados nas correias transportadoras de um par de unidades de transporte adjacentes. As correias transportadoras podem ser operadas sincronicamente para receber um pacote e pivotá-lo conforme ele é induzido para as unidades de transporte, a fim de corretamente orientar o pacote na unidade ou unidades de transporte. Os pacotes ou produtos podem então ser descarregados em uma calha de descarga apropriada de um modo similar.
