Abstract
Un conjunto de buza (20, 30) para un equipo de colada de metales seleccionado entre un dispositivo de compuerta deslizante y un dispositivo de intercambio de tubos, que comprende: un primer elemento refractario (1) que comprende una primera superficie de acoplamiento (1a) que incluye una primera abertura de orificio, y un segundo elemento refractario (11) que comprende una segunda superficie de acoplamiento (11a), que incluye una segunda abertura de orificio. donde los primero y segundo elementos están acoplados entre sí en una relación de desplazamiento deslizante a través de sus respectivas primera y segunda superficies de acoplamiento de tal manera que las primera y segunda aberturas de orificio se pueden poner en y fuera de registro para definir. cuando están en registro, un orificio continuo (3, 13) para descargar metal fundido desde una entrada de metal fundido (13a) hacia una salida de metal fundido (3b) de dicho conjunto de buza, un miembro de sellado (2) provisto entre las primera y segunda superficies de acoplamiento de los primero y segundo elementos, caracterizado porque el miembro de sellado (2) comprende un material térmicamente intumescente. Reivindicación 12: Método para producir un elemento refractario (1) de acuerdo con la reivindicación 12 ó 13, que comprende los siguientes pasos: proveer un elemento refractario que comprende un primer orificio pasante (3) que se abre en una primera superficie de acoplamiento (1a), donde dicha primera superficie de acoplamiento es apropiada para acoplarse en una relación de desplazamiento deslizante con una segunda superficie de acoplamiento (11a) de un segundo elemento refractario (11), aplicar un miembro de sellado (2) sobre la primera superficie de acoplamiento (1a) de modo tal que preferentemente circunscribe la abertura de orificio, caracterizado porque el miembro de sellado (2) comprende un material térmicamente intumescente. Reivindicación 16: Composición de sellado para sellar la interfase de contacto entre los elementos refractarios de un conjunto de buza en un equipo de colada de metales, caracterizada porque dicha composición de sellado comprende: 5 - 95% en peso de un material intumescente, tal como grafito expandible, 5 - 95% en peso de vidrio soluble como aglutinante, preferentemente mezclado con uno o más de: arcilla, Na₂CO₃, CaCO₃, MgCO₃, NaHCO₃, Ca(HCO₃)₂, Mg(HCO₃)₂, hasta 0 - 80% en peso de un lubricante, tal como grafito (no expandible), preferentemente entre 5 y 50% en peso, hasta 0 - 20% en peso de un antioxidante tal como aluminio.
