Abstract
Se describe un catalizador de conversion de tres vías, de capas multiples que tiene la capacidad de catalizar simultáneamente la oxidacion de hidrocarburos y monoxido de carbono y la reduccion de oxidos de nitrogeno. Se provee un material catalítico de por lo menos cuatro capas, conjuntamente con un portador, donde cada una de las capas incluye un soporte, por lo menos tres capas comprenden un componente de metal precioso, y por lo menos una capa comprende un componente de almacenamiento de oxigeno (OSC). El material catalítico puede comprender además una quinta capa, donde por lo menos cuatro capas comprenden un componente de metal precioso, por lo menos una capa comprende un componente de almacenamiento de oxígeno y o lo menos una capa está sustancialmente libre de un componente de almacenamiento de oxígeno.
