Abstract
Un receptor en un sistema de comunicaciones de OFDM incluye un detector de potencia y un controlador de ganancia. El detector de potencia detecta la potencia total recibida de una senal de OFDM recibida, por ejemplo, mediante el cálculo de la potencia de las muestras de los datos procedentes de un ADC, y el promedio de la potencia. El controlador de ganancia ajusta la ganancia del receptor en pasos de ganancia discretos y en una direccion, por ejemplo del estado de ganancia más bajo al estado de ganancia más alto, sobre la base de la potencia total recibida detectada. El controlador de ganancia inicializa el receptor en el estado de ganancia más bajo. Seguidamente el controlador de ganancia detecta la potencia total recibida baja, por ejemplo mediante la comparacion de la potencia total recibida detectada con un umbral predeterminado. El controlador de ganancia transita a un estado de ganancia superior si se detecta la potencia total recibida baja, y en caso contrario mantiene el estado de ganancia actual.
