Abstract

Para seleccionar una velocidad para un transmisor en un sistema de comunicaciones, un receptor obtiene una estimacion de la respuesta del canal y una estimacion recibida de SINR para el transmisor, por ejemplo basado sobre un piloto recibido procedente del transmisor. El receptor calcular una SINR hipotetizada para el transmisor sobre la base de la estimacion de la respuesta del canal y de la estimacion recibida de la SINR. El receptor seguidamente selecciona una velocidad para el transmisor sobre la base de (1) la SINR hipotetizada y (2) estadísticas típicas de ruido e interferencia en el receptor para el transmisor, que pueden darse mediante una funcion de densidad de probabilidad (PDF) de pérdidas de SINR con respecto a la SINR hipotetizada.
