Abstract
Un reactor tubular caracterizado por tener elementos de mezcla estáticos, cortos separados por zonas coalescente se utiliza para conducir reacciones delíquido/líquido multifase. Gotitas pequenas de una de las fases se dispersan en la otra fase por lo s elementos de mezcla estáticos. Estas gotitas se combinan yal menos se separan parcialmente en fase a medida que la mezcla pasa a través de la zona coalescente subsecuente. El reactor tubular es particularmenteadecuado para nitrar compuestos orgánic os mientras forma bajos niveles de subproductos nitrados de manera inapropiada y bajos niveles de nitrofenolicos.
