Abstract
Description
添付図面を参照して、本発明の好適な第1実施形態に係る乗員保護装置について説明する。本書において、上下、左右及び前後を以下のとおり定義する。乗員が正規の姿勢で座席(車両シート)に着座した際に、乗員が向いている方向を前方、その反対方向を後方と称し座標の軸を示すときは前後方向とする。また、乗員が正規の姿勢で車両シートに着座した際に、乗員の右側を右方向、乗員の左側を左方向と称し座標の軸を示すときは左右方向とする。同様に、乗員が正規の姿勢で着座した際に、乗員の頭部方向を上方、乗員の腰部方向を下方と称し座標の軸を示すときは上下方向とする。
まず、図1A及び図1Bを参照して、第1実施形態に係る車両シート100の構成について説明する。図1Aに示すように、車両シート100は、乗員の背中を支えるシートバック1と、乗員が着座するシートクッション2と、乗員の頭部を支えるヘッドレスト3と、を備えている。車両シート100は、例えば、運転席又は助手席であるが、後部座席であってもよい。
次に、図2A乃至5を参照して、乗員保護装置30の構成について説明する。以下の説明では、乗員保護装置30の各構成部分(後述する、エアバッグクッション32、インフレータ34及びカバー200)が組み立てられて乗員保護装置30を構成した状態を「組立状態」と呼ぶことがある。図2Aでは、インフレータ34及びカバー200の表示を省略している。
また、カバー200は、第2折り畳み部82(折り畳み部80の後方部分)を脆弱部250を通してカバー200の外部に露出させる。他の実施態様では、折り畳み部80が第1折り畳み部81を有するが、第2折り畳み部82に相当する部分が折られていない場合、カバー200は、脆弱部250を介して、折られていない部分を開放した状態とさせてもよい。また、別の実施態様では、カバー200は、脆弱部250を介して、凹部66を挟んで位置する後方取付点62a,62bを構成する部分を開放した状態とさせてもよい。
脆弱部250は、エアバッグクッション32の後端部32bの中央部の上方、すなわち凹部66の上方に位置している(参照:図2A及び図5)。したがって、カバー200は、エアバッグクッション32の膨張展開によって、脆弱部250を起点として上方側かつ後方側の部分が開裂するように構成されている。
他の実施態様では、脆弱部250は、上記のとおり、カバー200にスリットとして形成してもよい。このようなスリットは、例えば、第1カバー部210又は第4カバー部240に形成することができる。スリットの形状、大きさ及び範囲は適宜設計することができる。スリットの位置(例えば前後方向及び上下方向の各位置)は、脆弱部250を開口部とした場合の、当該開口部の位置と同様に設定することができ、カバー200は、脆弱部250としてのスリットを介して、エアバッグクッション32の後方取付点62a,62bの側の少なくとも一部分を開放した状態にさせる。
また、別の実施態様では、脆弱部250は、上記のとおり、カバー200の薄肉部として形成してもよい。このような薄肉部は、例えば、第1カバー部210又は第4カバー部240の一部を、カバー200の他の部分よりも薄肉にすることで形成することができる。薄肉部の位置(例えば前後方向及び上下方向の各位置)は、脆弱部250を開口部とした場合の、当該開口部の位置と同様に設定することができる。脆弱部250を薄肉部とする場合には、カバー200は、エアバッグクッション32の一部のみならず、全体を覆うことも可能である。
乗員保護装置30の組立では、まず、エアバッグクッション32が前方取付点60a,60bでカバー200と一緒にシートパン24に取り付けられる。次に、エアバッグクッション32は、後方取付点62a,62bでシートパン24に取り付けられ、折り畳まれる。その後、カバー200が、折り畳んだエアバッグクッション32の一部を覆う。以下では、シートパン24に対するエアバッグクッション32及びカバー200の取り付けについて詳細に説明する。
図6は、膨張展開した後のエアバッグクッション32を示している。図6では、カバー200の表示を省略している。エアバッグクッション32の膨張展開部64は、前方取付点60a,60bと後方取付点62a,62bとの間で膨張展開すると共に、前方取付点60a,60bと後方取付点62a,62bとを前後方向に超えた位置まで膨張展開する。一方、このような膨張展開の際に、カバー200が膨張展開部64の膨張展開方向をガイド可能に構成される。
続いて、図7A乃至図7Cを参照して、図12A乃至図12Cに示す比較例に係る乗員保護装置を比較しながら、乗員保護装置30の車両緊急時の動作について説明する。
続いて、図8A及び図8Bを参照して、第1実施形態に係る乗員保護装置30の乗員に対する効果について説明する。
図9乃至11Aを参照して、第2実施形態に係る乗員保護装置30の構成について説明する。第2実施形態と第1実施形態との相違は、カバーの構造である。以下、相違点を中心に説明する。
以上説明した各実施形態は、本発明の理解を容易にするためのものであり、本発明を限定して解釈するためのものではない。各実施形態が備える各要素並びにその配置、材料、条件、形状及びサイズ等は、例示したものに限定されるわけではなく適宜変更することができる。
Claims (15)
- 車両シートのシートクッションの内部又は下方に設けられる乗員保護装置であって、
前記シートクッションの座面を押し上げるように膨張展開可能なエアバッグクッションと、
車両緊急時に前記エアバッグクッションの内部に膨張展開用のガスを供給するインフレータと、
前記エアバッグクッションの少なくとも一部を覆うと共に、前記エアバッグクッションの膨張展開によって開裂可能に構成されたカバーと、を備え、
前記エアバッグクッションは、前記車両シート側に取り付けられる少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と、前記車両シートの前後方向において前記第1の取付点の後方側で、前記車両シート側に取り付けられる少なくとも1つの第2の取付点と、前記インフレータからのガスにより、少なくとも、前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と前記少なくとも1つの第2の取付点との間で膨張展開する膨張展開部と、を有し、
前記カバーは、前記エアバッグクッションの膨張展開によって開裂するときの起点となる脆弱部を有し、
前記カバーは、前記脆弱部が前記前後方向の後方側に位置するように、前記膨張展開部の前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点の側を覆い、前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点の側において前記車両シートに取り付けられる、乗員保護装置。 - 前記カバーは、前記脆弱部が前記膨張展開部の上方側にも位置するように、前記膨張展開部の前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点の側を覆う、請求項1に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記脆弱部は、前記カバーの開放された開口部である、請求項1又は2に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記脆弱部は、前記カバーに形成されたスリットである、請求項1又は2に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記脆弱部は、前記エアバッグクッションの前記少なくとも1つの第2の取付点の側の少なくとも一部分を開放した状態にさせている、請求項3又は4に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記脆弱部は、前記カバーの他の部分よりも薄肉に形成された薄肉部である、請求項1又は2に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記膨張展開部は、前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と前記少なくとも1つの第2の取付点との間に折り畳み部を有し、
前記カバーは、前記折り畳み部の、少なくとも、前記車両シートの前後方向における前方部分を覆う、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の乗員保護装置。 - 前記折り畳み部は、第1の部分と、前記車両シートの前後方向において前記第1の部分よりも後方側にある第2の部分と、を有し、
前記第1の部分は、前記第2の部分よりも上下方向に積層するように蛇腹状に折られている数が多く、
前記カバーは、前記折り畳み部のうち、前記第1の部分を覆う、請求項7に記載の乗員保護装置。 - 前記カバーは、前記折り畳み部の前記第1の部分を上方側から覆う第1カバー部を有する、請求項8に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記カバーは、前記折り畳み部を前記車両シートの前後方向における前方側から覆う第2カバー部を有する、請求項7乃至9の何れか一項に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記カバーは、前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と同じ箇所で、前記エアバッグクッションと一緒に前記車両シートに取り付けられる、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の乗員保護装置。
- 前記インフレータは、前記エアバッグクッション内に少なくとも一部が内蔵されたインフレータ本体と、前記インフレータ本体から延びるスタッドボルトと、を有しており、
前記カバー及び前記エアバッグクッションは、前記スタッドボルトを介して前記車両シートに取り付けられる、請求項11に記載の乗員保護装置。 - 前記エアバッグクッションは、膨張展開しない非膨張展開部をさらに有しており、
前記少なくとも1つの第2の取付点は、前記非膨張展開部に設けられている、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の乗員保護装置。 - 車両シートのシートクッションの内部又は下方に設けられる乗員保護装置であって、
前記シートクッションの座面を押し上げるように膨張展開可能なエアバッグクッションと、
車両緊急時に前記エアバッグクッションの内部に膨張展開用のガスを供給するインフレータと、
前記エアバッグクッションの少なくとも一部を覆うカバーと、を備え、
前記エアバッグクッションは、前記車両シート側に取り付けられる少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と、前記車両シートの前後方向において前記第1の取付点の後方側で、前記車両シート側に取り付けられる少なくとも1つの第2の取付点と、前記インフレータからのガスにより、少なくとも、前記少なくとも1つの第1の取付点と前記少なくとも1つの第2の取付点との間で膨張展開する膨張展開部と、を有し、
前記カバーは、前記膨張展開部が膨張展開する過程において、前記膨張展開部の膨張展開方向をガイド可能に構成される、乗員保護装置。 - 前記カバーは、前記膨張展開部の膨張展開方向を、上方側、かつ、前記車両シートの前後方向の後方側に向かうように、ガイド可能である、請求項14に記載の乗員保護装置。
