Definitions
- the present disclosure relates to heat resistant cast steel and turbocharger parts.
- heat-resistant cast steel Since heat resistance is required for turbocharger parts such as a turbine housing, heat-resistant cast steel is used. As such a heat-resistant cast steel, a heat-resistant cast steel containing N (nitrogen) is used (see Patent Document 1).
- N nitrogen
- stabilization of the austenite phase is achieved by adding N.
- a heat-resistant cast steel containing N is cast by a pressure casting method to add N which is a gas.
- the pressure casting method requires special casting equipment to melt or cast under pressure. For this reason, the equipment cost for casting heat-resistant cast steel becomes expensive, and the manufacturing cost of heat-resistant cast steel may become high.
- an object of the present disclosure is to provide a heat-resistant cast steel and a turbocharger component capable of further reducing the manufacturing cost of the heat-resistant cast steel.
- the heat-resistant cast steel according to the present disclosure has a C content of 0.55% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less, Si of 1.5% by mass or more and 3.5% by mass or less, and 0% by mass to 2% by mass or less Containing Mn, 6 mass% or more and 11 mass% or less Ni, 22 mass% or more and 27 mass% or less Cr, and 0 mass% or more and 0.6 mass% or less Mo, and the balance being Fe It consists of unavoidable impurities.
- the content of C is preferably 0.55% by mass or more and 0.8% by mass or less.
- the content of C is preferably greater than 0.8% by mass and not more than 1.0% by mass.
- the content of Si is preferably 1.5% by mass or more and 2.5% by mass or less.
- the heat-resistant cast steel according to the present disclosure it is preferable to further include S of 0.2% by mass or less and more than 0% by mass.
- the content of S is preferably 0.1% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less.
- the turbocharger part according to the present disclosure is formed of the heat-resistant cast steel described in any one of the above.
- FIG. 5 is a diagram for describing a machinability evaluation test method in the embodiment of the present disclosure. In embodiment of this indication, it is a graph which shows the machinability evaluation test result of each heat-resistant cast steel.
- the heat-resistant cast steel according to the embodiment of the present disclosure has a C content of 0.55% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less, Si of 1.5% by mass or more and 3.5% by mass or less, and 2% by more than 0% by mass.
- % Of Mn 6% to 11% by mass of Ni, 22% to 27% by mass of Cr, and 0% to 0.6% by mass of Mo, with the balance Is composed of Fe and unavoidable impurities.
- C is an austenite-forming element and has a function of stabilizing the austenite phase.
- the main phase of the metallographic structure means a phase having the largest volume ratio in the metallographic structure.
- C combines with Cr to form complex carbides such as Cr carbides in the metal structure, and has a function of improving mechanical properties such as high temperature strength.
- the content of C may be 0.55% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less.
- the content of C is less than 0.55% by mass, the number of ferrite phases increases, and mechanical properties such as high-temperature strength decrease.
- the C content is smaller than 0.55% by mass, the ⁇ phase precipitates and becomes brittle. If the C content is greater than 1.0% by mass, a large amount of Cr carbide or the like precipitates to thereby increase the hardness and to decrease the machinability and other processability.
- the content of C may be 0.55% by mass or more and 0.8% by mass or less. By setting the content of C to 0.55% by mass or more and 0.8% by mass or less, the hardness becomes lower, so that the workability such as machinability can be further improved.
- the content of C may be more than 0.8% by mass and 1.0% by mass or less. By setting the content of C to be more than 0.8% by mass and 1.0% by mass or less, mechanical properties such as high-temperature strength can be further improved.
- Si is a solid solution strengthening element, and also has a function of improving the oxidation resistance.
- the content of Si may be 1.5% by mass or more and 3.5% by mass or less. When the content of Si is less than 1.5% by mass, the oxidation resistance is lowered. If the content of Si is larger than 3.5% by mass, the number of ferrite phases is increased, and mechanical properties such as high temperature strength are reduced. On the other hand, if the content of Si is greater than 3.5% by mass, the ⁇ phase precipitates and becomes brittle.
- the content of Si may be 1.5% by mass or more and 2.5% by mass or less.
- the oxidation resistance can be improved, and mechanical properties such as high temperature strength can be further improved.
- Mn manganese
- MnS manganese
- Ni is an austenite-forming element and has a function of stabilizing the austenite phase.
- Ni has a function of improving the oxidation resistance.
- the content of Ni may be 6% by mass or more and 11% by mass or less. When the content of Ni is less than 6% by mass, the number of ferrite phases increases, and mechanical properties such as high temperature strength are degraded. Moreover, it is because oxidation resistance falls, when the content rate of Ni is smaller than 6 mass%. Furthermore, when the content of Ni is less than 6% by mass, the ⁇ phase precipitates and becomes brittle.
- the manufacturing cost of the heat-resistant cast steel is increased. More specifically, in this heat-resistant cast steel, by setting the content of C to 0.55% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less, the amount of C is made larger than usual to stabilize the austenite phase, It is not necessary to stabilize the austenite phase by increasing the content of Ni to more than 11% by mass.
- the Si content is 1.5 mass% or more and 3.5 mass% or less, and as described later, the Cr content is 22 mass% or more and 27 mass% or less. And the amount of Cr are increased to improve the oxidation resistance.
- the content of inexpensive C is increased to stabilize the austenite phase, and the content of inexpensive Si and Cr is increased to improve oxidation resistance, so the content of expensive Ni is reduced.
- the manufacturing cost of the heat-resistant cast steel can be further reduced.
- Cr chromium
- the content of Cr may be 22% by mass or more and 27% by mass or less. When the content of Cr is less than 22% by mass, the oxidation resistance and the corrosion resistance decrease. If the content of Cr is more than 27% by mass, the number of ferrite phases increases, and mechanical properties such as high temperature strength are degraded. On the other hand, if the content of Cr is greater than 27% by mass, the ⁇ phase precipitates and becomes brittle.
- Mo mobdenum
- the content of Mo is preferably more than 0% by mass and 0.6% by mass or less.
- the content of Mo is more than 0.6% by mass, the number of ferrite phases increases, and mechanical properties such as high temperature strength are degraded.
- the content of Mo is more than 0.6% by mass, the ⁇ phase precipitates and becomes brittle.
- this heat-resistant cast steel by setting the content of C to 0.55 mass% or more and 1.0 mass% or less, the amount of C is made larger than usual to improve mechanical properties such as high temperature strength. . For this reason, since it is not necessary to contain expensive Mo more than 0.6 mass%, the manufacturing cost of heat-resistant cast steel can be reduced.
- the remainder of the heat-resistant cast steel is composed of Fe and unavoidable impurities.
- Unavoidable impurities are impurities that can be mixed even if not intentionally added.
- the heat-resistant cast steel according to the embodiment of the present disclosure may further contain S (sulfur) instead of a part of the remaining Fe.
- S (sulfur) has a function to improve the machinability of heat-resistant cast steel.
- the content of S may be more than 0% by mass and 0.2% by mass or less. If the content of S is greater than 0.2% by mass, an embrittled phase is likely to be formed at the time of high temperature exposure, which may lower mechanical strength such as high temperature strength.
- the content of S may be 0.1% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less.
- the machinability can be further improved by setting the content of S to 0.1% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less. Moreover, it becomes possible to further improve machinability by making the content rate of S into 0.16 mass% or more and 0.2 mass% or less.
- a raw material to be a heat-resistant cast steel can be melted and cast in a high frequency induction furnace or the like to obtain an ingot.
- a raw material to be a heat-resistant cast steel can be melted in a high frequency induction furnace or the like, poured into a sand mold or the like and cast.
- the raw materials of the heat-resistant cast steel are 0.55% by mass or more and 1.0% by mass or less C, 1.5% by mass or more and 3.5% by mass or less Si, and 0% by mass or more and 2% by mass or less Mn , 6 mass% or more and 11 mass% or less of Ni, 22 mass% or more and 27 mass% or less of Cr, and 0.6 mass% or less of Mo more than 0 mass%, and the balance being Fe and unavoidable It is good to use an alloy raw material which consists of organic impurities.
- the raw material of the heat-resistant cast steel may further contain S of more than 0% by mass and 0.2% by mass or less instead of a part of the remaining Fe.
- the heat-resistant cast steel according to the embodiment of the present disclosure can be cast by a general sand casting method or the like of cast steel, it is not necessary to cast by a pressure casting method. For this reason, since the special casting installation used by a pressure casting method becomes unnecessary, the manufacturing cost of heat-resistant cast steel can be reduced. Further, since this heat-resistant cast steel is excellent in oxidation resistance, it can be cast even in an oxidizing atmosphere such as an air atmosphere. In addition, after casting the heat-resistant cast steel, homogenization treatment such as annealing or heat treatment such as aging treatment may be performed.
- the main phase of the metallographic structure is composed of an austenite phase ( ⁇ phase).
- the volume ratio of the austenite phase in the metal structure is preferably 90% by volume or more, and preferably 95% by volume or more.
- the metallographic structure of the heat-resistant cast steel is such that the ferrite ratio of the ferrite phase ( ⁇ phase) in the metal structure is 1.1% or less (including a ferrite ratio of zero) when measured at room temperature by a magnetic induction method (ferrite scope) It is good.
- the magnetic induction method is a method of measuring the ferrite ratio using a magnetic device, and is a measurement method using the fact that the ferrite phase exhibits magnetism and the austenite phase and carbides exhibit nonmagnetism.
- the heat-resistant cast steel is preferably an austenitic heat-resistant cast steel in which the main phase of the metallographic structure is an austenite phase, and the ferrite ratio is 1.1% or less (including a zero ferrite ratio).
- the metallographic structure of the heat-resistant cast steel does not contain a ferrite phase, or even if the ferrite phase is contained, a trace amount of less than 1.1% can improve mechanical properties such as high temperature strength.
- the ferrite ratio of the metal structure of the heat-resistant cast steel may be 0.5% or less (the ferrite ratio includes zero), or may be 0.2% or less (the ferrite ratio includes zero). Furthermore, the ferrite ratio of the metal structure of the heat-resistant cast steel may be zero (not including the ferrite phase).
- carbides such as Cr carbides are precipitated in the metal structure of the heat-resistant cast steel.
- carbides such as Cr carbides By dispersing and depositing carbides such as Cr carbides in the metal structure, mechanical properties such as high temperature strength can be improved.
- the ⁇ phase does not precipitate in the metallographic structure of the heat-resistant cast steel.
- Si and Cr are in solid solution.
- a protective oxide film made of silicon oxide such as SiO 2 or chromium oxide such as Cr 2 O 3 which is excellent in oxidation resistance is formed. Can be improved.
