Abstract
水素ガスバリア性に優れると共に、低温環境下での柔軟性を向上させることができ、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる水素輸送部品を提供する。本発明の水素輸送部品は、ポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとを含む樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層と、前記水素ガスバリア層の外側に配設された補強層と、前記補強層の外側に配設されたポリアミド樹脂を含む外被層とを有する水素輸送部品において、前記樹脂組成物における前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量は、前記ポリアミド11と前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%~50質量%であり、前記樹脂組成物は、可塑剤を実質的に含まない、ことを特徴とする。
Description
本発明は、水素輸送部品に関する。
近年、液体や気体を高圧で移送する手段として、金属パイプ等に代わって、補強層と該補強層の内部に配置された樹脂組成物からなる内管とを有するホースの開発が進められている。
例えば、内管としての内層と、該内層の外周に積層されるポリ塩化ビニル等の熱可塑性樹脂からなる中間層と、この中間層に沿って螺旋状に巻き付けられる補強線材と、中間層及び補強線材の外周に積層される外層と、を有する多層耐圧ホースが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
例えば、内管としての内層と、該内層の外周に積層されるポリ塩化ビニル等の熱可塑性樹脂からなる中間層と、この中間層に沿って螺旋状に巻き付けられる補強線材と、中間層及び補強線材の外周に積層される外層と、を有する多層耐圧ホースが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
また、近年、水素ガスステーション等から自動車等の燃料電池へ水素ガスを供給するためのホースの需要が高まっている。水素ガスは、充填効率向上のために可能な限り高圧かつ低温で当該ホース等の水素輸送部品内を移送されるため、水素輸送部品には、低温環境下での柔軟性を向上させることが求められている。なお、ここで、耐圧ホースの分野では、これまでは、主として、常温環境下でのガスバリア性に関する検討がなされ、低温環境下での柔軟性、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性については、なお向上の余地がある。
そこで、本発明の目的は、水素ガスバリア性に優れると共に、低温環境下での柔軟性を向上させることができ、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる、水素輸送部品を提供することにある。
即ち、本発明の水素輸送部品は、ポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとを含む樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層と、前記水素ガスバリア層の外側に配設された補強層と、前記補強層の外側に配設されたポリアミド樹脂を含む外被層とを有する水素輸送部品において、前記樹脂組成物における前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量は、前記ポリアミド11と前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%~50質量%であり、前記樹脂組成物は、可塑剤を実質的に含まないことを特徴とする。
本発明によれば、水素ガスバリア性に優れると共に、低温環境下での柔軟性を向上させることができ、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる、水素輸送部品を提供することができる。
以下、本発明の具体的な実施形態について詳細に説明するが、本発明は、以下の実施形態に何ら限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的の範囲内において、適宜変更を加えて実施することができる。
本明細書において「ホース」とは、屈曲性を有し、移送対象(例えば液体又は気体等の流体)を移送可能な管状の物体を意味する。
本明細書において、「樹脂」とは、熱可塑性樹脂及び熱硬化性樹脂を含む概念であり、加硫ゴムは含まない。
本明細書において、「~」を用いて表される数値範囲は、「~」の前後に記載される数値を下限値及び上限値として含む範囲を意味する。

(水素輸送部品)
本発明の水素輸送部品(以下、単に、「輸送部品」とも称する)は、少なくとも、水素ガスバリア層と、補強層と、外被層とを有し、さらに、必要に応じて、その他の部材、を有する。
本発明の水素輸送部品としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、水素輸送ホース、などが好適に挙げられる。
本発明の水素輸送部品(以下、単に、「輸送部品」とも称する)は、少なくとも、水素ガスバリア層と、補強層と、外被層とを有し、さらに、必要に応じて、その他の部材、を有する。
本発明の水素輸送部品としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、水素輸送ホース、などが好適に挙げられる。
<水素ガスバリア層>
上記水素ガスバリア層は、水素ガスをバリアする層であり、樹脂組成物からなる。ここで、「樹脂組成物からなる」とは、樹脂組成物以外の成分をさらに含んでいてもよいことを意味する。
上記樹脂組成物は、少なくとも、ポリアミド11と、変性オレフィン系エラストマーとを含み、さらに必要に応じて、その他の成分を含むが、可塑剤を実質的に含まない。
本明細書において、「樹脂組成物が可塑剤を実質的に含まない」とは、(1)樹脂組成物が可塑剤を全く含まない場合と、(2)樹脂組成物が可塑剤を含むが、樹脂組成物全体に対する可塑剤の含有量が3質量%以下、好ましくは1質量%以下である場合と、を意味する。
上記水素ガスバリア層は、水素ガスをバリアする層であり、樹脂組成物からなる。ここで、「樹脂組成物からなる」とは、樹脂組成物以外の成分をさらに含んでいてもよいことを意味する。
上記樹脂組成物は、少なくとも、ポリアミド11と、変性オレフィン系エラストマーとを含み、さらに必要に応じて、その他の成分を含むが、可塑剤を実質的に含まない。
本明細書において、「樹脂組成物が可塑剤を実質的に含まない」とは、(1)樹脂組成物が可塑剤を全く含まない場合と、(2)樹脂組成物が可塑剤を含むが、樹脂組成物全体に対する可塑剤の含有量が3質量%以下、好ましくは1質量%以下である場合と、を意味する。
上記水素輸送部品の水素ガスバリア層に使用される樹脂組成物には、通常、水素ガスバリア性や柔軟性(ひいては、耐久性)を高めたり、押出し成形を容易にするために可塑剤が添加されている。
樹脂組成物に可塑剤を添加すると、その破断伸びの値は一般に大きくなると考えられる。しかしながら、本発明者らの検討により、樹脂の種類によっては可塑剤を添加した場合よりも、可塑剤を実質的に含まない場合の方が、低温環境下での柔軟性が高い傾向にあることが分かった。
樹脂組成物に可塑剤を添加すると、その破断伸びの値は一般に大きくなると考えられる。しかしながら、本発明者らの検討により、樹脂の種類によっては可塑剤を添加した場合よりも、可塑剤を実質的に含まない場合の方が、低温環境下での柔軟性が高い傾向にあることが分かった。
本明細書において「可塑剤」とは、樹脂の柔軟性等の物性を改良する目的で用いられる化合物を意味する。
上記可塑剤としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、N-ブチルベンゼンスルホンアミド(BBSA)、エチルトルエンスルホンアミド、N-シクロヘキシルトルエンスルホンアミド等のベンゼンスルホンアミド誘導体;p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸-2-エチルヘキシル、p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸-2-デシルヘキシル等のヒドロキシ安息香酸のエステル;オリゴエチレンオキシテトラヒドロフルフリルアルコール等のテトラヒドロフルフリルアルコールのエステル又はエーテル;クエン酸、オリゴエチレンオキシマロネート等のヒドロキシマロン酸のエステル;フェノール系化合物;などが挙げられる。
上記可塑剤としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、N-ブチルベンゼンスルホンアミド(BBSA)、エチルトルエンスルホンアミド、N-シクロヘキシルトルエンスルホンアミド等のベンゼンスルホンアミド誘導体;p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸-2-エチルヘキシル、p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸-2-デシルヘキシル等のヒドロキシ安息香酸のエステル;オリゴエチレンオキシテトラヒドロフルフリルアルコール等のテトラヒドロフルフリルアルコールのエステル又はエーテル;クエン酸、オリゴエチレンオキシマロネート等のヒドロキシマロン酸のエステル;フェノール系化合物;などが挙げられる。
上記樹脂組成物中に可塑剤が含まれているか否かの確認及びその量の測定は、ガスクロマトグラフィー等の公知の方法によって行うことができる。
上記樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率指数としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、後述する変性オレフィン系エラストマー(柔軟性成分)が未添加の樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率を100とした場合において、30以上100以下が好ましく、30以上85以下がより好ましく、40以上70以下がさらにより好ましく、40以上50以下が特に好ましい。上記樹脂組成物の貯蔵弾性率指数を上記範囲内にすることにより、低温環境下での水素輸送部品において、柔軟性が十分に得られる。
上記樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、1400MPa以下が好ましく、また、600MPa以上が好ましく、670MPa~820MPaが特に好ましい。
上記貯蔵弾性率が、1400MPa以下であると、低温環境下での柔軟性をより向上させることができ、さらに、600MPa以上であると、折り曲げても潰れることがなくなる。

上記弾性率が、670Pa以上820MPa以下であれば、輸送部品使用時において、製品を折り曲げたり、捩じったりしても、樹脂層を破壊することなく、使用することができる。
上記貯蔵弾性率は、日立ハイテク(株)製のDMA7100(動的粘弾性測定試験機)を用いて測定することができる。即ち、試験用ロードセルに接続されたチャックに、測定サンプル板(サイズ10mm×40mm×1mm厚)を取り付け、冷却加熱炉に投入する。その後、温度範囲-150℃~150℃、昇温速度3℃/min、歪量0.01%、周波数1Hzにて、動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルを得る。得られた温度範囲-150℃~150℃の動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルから、-40℃における貯蔵弾性率を得ることができる。
上記樹脂組成物の30℃における水素透過係数指数としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、後述する変性オレフィン系エラストマー(柔軟性成分)が未添加の樹脂組成物の30℃における水素透過係数指数を100とした場合、500以下が好ましく、400以下がより好ましく、300以下が特に好ましい。上記樹脂組成物の水素透過係数指数を上記範囲内にすることにより、水素輸送部品の水素漏洩量を抑制することができる。
上記樹脂組成物の30℃における水素透過係数としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、3.74×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下が好ましく、1.54×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以上2.64×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下がより好ましい。
上記水素透過係数が、3.74×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であると、水素ガスバリア性を向上させることができる。
上記水素透過係数が、1.54×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以上であると、水素ガスバリア性を大きく損なわないまま低温弾性率をより向上させることができ、さらに、2.64×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であると、水素ガスバリア性をより向上させる。
上記水素透過係数が、3.74×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であると、水素ガスバリア性を向上させることができる。
上記水素透過係数が、1.54×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以上であると、水素ガスバリア性を大きく損なわないまま低温弾性率をより向上させることができ、さらに、2.64×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であると、水素ガスバリア性をより向上させる。
上記水素透過係数は、湿度20%、温度30℃の条件下、GTRテック製のGTR-11A(ガス透過測定装置)を用いて測定することができる。即ち、測定サンプル(直径13mm、厚み0.2mm~0.3mm)をセルにセットし、セル内を真空脱気することで周辺ガスの影響を取り除く。その後、測定対象ガスである圧力0.6MPaの水素ガスを流通させ、フィルムを透過した水素ガス量をガスクロマトグラフィー(TCD方式、キャリアガスAr)を用い、検量線法により求める。その後、透過面積、厚み、圧力差から水素透過係数を算出する。なお、上記水素透過係数の数値は小さいほど良好な結果である。
<<ポリアミド11>>
上記ポリアミド11(ナイロン11)は、水素輸送部品の成型加工性や耐圧性および繰返しインパルス耐性の点で、好適な樹脂である。
前記ポリアミド11を用いることにより、ポリアミド6やポリアミド66のような短いアルキル鎖を有するポリアミドと比較して、低温での柔軟性を向上させることができる。また、他の樹脂を用いるよりも、耐圧性、繰返しインパルス耐性及び低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる。
上記ポリアミド11(ナイロン11)は、水素輸送部品の成型加工性や耐圧性および繰返しインパルス耐性の点で、好適な樹脂である。
前記ポリアミド11を用いることにより、ポリアミド6やポリアミド66のような短いアルキル鎖を有するポリアミドと比較して、低温での柔軟性を向上させることができる。また、他の樹脂を用いるよりも、耐圧性、繰返しインパルス耐性及び低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる。
<<変性オレフィン系エラストマー>>
上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーは、23℃におけるヤング率が上記ポリアミド11よりも低い柔軟性成分であることが好ましい。
上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーのガラス転移点(Tg)としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、低温下での柔軟性を向上させる点で、0℃以下が好ましく、-20℃以下がより好ましい。
ガラス転移点が0℃以下の変性オレフィン系エラストマーを含ませることで、低温環境下においても、骨格部材が良好な弾性を維持でき、骨格部材の耐久性を向上させることができる。
上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーは、23℃におけるヤング率が上記ポリアミド11よりも低い柔軟性成分であることが好ましい。
上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーのガラス転移点(Tg)としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、低温下での柔軟性を向上させる点で、0℃以下が好ましく、-20℃以下がより好ましい。
ガラス転移点が0℃以下の変性オレフィン系エラストマーを含ませることで、低温環境下においても、骨格部材が良好な弾性を維持でき、骨格部材の耐久性を向上させることができる。
上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとしては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン-プロピレンゴム、エチレン-1-ブテン共重合体、ポリα-オレフィン、スチレン-エチレン-ブチレン-スチレン共重合体等のオレフィン系エラストマーの変性体、などが挙げられる。これらは、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
これらの中でも、より優れた弾性及び耐久性を得る点で、エチレン-プロピレンゴム、ポリα-オレフィンスチレン-エチレン-ブチレン-スチレン共重合体及びエチレン-1-ブテン共重合体からなる群から選択される少なくとも一種の変性体が好ましく、エチレン-1-ブテン共重合体の変性体がより好ましい。
これらの中でも、より優れた弾性及び耐久性を得る点で、エチレン-プロピレンゴム、ポリα-オレフィンスチレン-エチレン-ブチレン-スチレン共重合体及びエチレン-1-ブテン共重合体からなる群から選択される少なくとも一種の変性体が好ましく、エチレン-1-ブテン共重合体の変性体がより好ましい。
さらに、上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーは、その少なくとも一部に、無水マレイン酸又はエポキシ末端(メタ)アクリル酸エステルが、共重合又はグラフトされていることが好ましい。これらの化合物が共重合又はグラフトされている変性オレフィン系エラストマー(柔軟性成分)は、ポリアミド樹脂の末端基と反応し、樹脂組成物中での分散性が向上するため、骨格部材の弾性及び耐久性が更に向上する。ここで、「(メタ)アクリル酸エステル」とは、アクリル酸エステル及び/又はメタクリル酸エステルを指す。
上記樹脂組成物における上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量としては、上記ポリアミド11と上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%~50質量%である限り、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、下限値としては20質量%以上が好ましく、上限値としては40質量%以下が好ましく、30質量%以下がより好ましい。
上記樹脂組成物における上記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量が、15質量%以上であれば、低温環境下でも良好な弾性を確保でき、また、50質量%以下であれば、上記ポリアミド11による効果が十分に発現することに加え、水素透過係数を十分に良好に維持することができる。

<<その他の成分>>
上記樹脂組成物は、本発明の効果を妨げない範囲で、その他の成分を含んでいてもよい。
上記その他の成分としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、老化防止剤、着色剤、充填材、帯電防止剤、熱安定剤、難燃剤、などが挙げられる。これらは、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
上記樹脂組成物は、本発明の効果を妨げない範囲で、その他の成分を含んでいてもよい。
上記その他の成分としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、老化防止剤、着色剤、充填材、帯電防止剤、熱安定剤、難燃剤、などが挙げられる。これらは、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
<水素輸送ホース>
上記水素輸送ホースは、少なくとも、上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層を有し、必要に応じてホース内管、補強層、外被層、その他の部材を有する。
上記水素ガスバリア層が適用される部位としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるがホース内管が好ましい。ここで、「ホース内管」とは、水素輸送ホースの内側の樹脂層を意味し、該ホース内管の内側にさらに別の層を有してもよい。
上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層は、ホース内の移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在することがより好ましい。上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層をホース内の移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在させることで、低温環境下で使用する場合や、低温の移送対象である水素ガスを移送する場合でも、柔軟性を向上させることができ、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる。
上記水素輸送ホースは、少なくとも、上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層を有し、必要に応じてホース内管、補強層、外被層、その他の部材を有する。
上記水素ガスバリア層が適用される部位としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるがホース内管が好ましい。ここで、「ホース内管」とは、水素輸送ホースの内側の樹脂層を意味し、該ホース内管の内側にさらに別の層を有してもよい。
上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層は、ホース内の移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在することがより好ましい。上記樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層をホース内の移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在させることで、低温環境下で使用する場合や、低温の移送対象である水素ガスを移送する場合でも、柔軟性を向上させることができ、ひいては、低温環境下での耐久性を向上させることができる。
<<ホース内管>>
上記ホース内管は、-40℃の環境下における破断伸びが20%以上であり、可塑剤を実質的に含まない樹脂組成物の成形物であることが好ましい。

上記ホース内管が、低温環境下での耐久性に優れていると、低温環境下で使用される水素輸送ホースや、低温の移送対象である水素ガスを移送するための水素輸送ホースの部材として適している。
上記ホース内管は、上記樹脂組成物を用いて形成されることが好ましい。上記樹脂組成物の物性、成分等については、上述したとおりである。
上記ホース内管の形成方法としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、公知の方法により行うことができる。
上記ホース内管は、水素輸送ホース内を移送される移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在することが好ましい。上記ホース内管は、1層のみでもよく、2層以上であってもよい。
上記ホース内管の形成方法としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、公知の方法により行うことができる。
上記ホース内管は、水素輸送ホース内を移送される移送対象である水素ガスに接触する位置に存在することが好ましい。上記ホース内管は、1層のみでもよく、2層以上であってもよい。
上記ホース内管の内径(即ち、ホース内管の断面における中空部分の最大径)としては、特に制限はなく、所望の強度、耐久性等に応じて選択できるが、3.0mm以上が好ましく、4.0mm以上がより好ましく、また、51.0mm以下が好ましく25.4mm以下がより好ましい。
上記ホース内管の厚み(即ち、ホース内管の断面における樹脂組成物からなる部分の厚み)としては、特に制限はなく、所望の強度、耐久性等に応じて選択できるが、0.05mm以上が好ましく、0.5mm以上がより好ましく、また、10mm以下が好ましく、5mm以下がより好ましい。
<<補強層>>
上記水素輸送ホースは、ホース内管の外側に配置される補強層を有する。上記水素輸送ホースが補強層を有することで、移送対象である水素ガスの移送を高圧で行う場合にも十分な強度が得られる。この場合の水素輸送ホースは、補強層とホース内管との間にさらに別の層を有してもよく、補強層の外側に、後述する外被層以外のさらに別の層を有してもよい。上記補強層は1層のみでもよく、2層以上であってもよい。
上記水素輸送ホースは、ホース内管の外側に配置される補強層を有する。上記水素輸送ホースが補強層を有することで、移送対象である水素ガスの移送を高圧で行う場合にも十分な強度が得られる。この場合の水素輸送ホースは、補強層とホース内管との間にさらに別の層を有してもよく、補強層の外側に、後述する外被層以外のさらに別の層を有してもよい。上記補強層は1層のみでもよく、2層以上であってもよい。
上記補強層の材料としては、特に制限はなく、所望の強度、耐久性等に応じて適宜選択することでき、例えば、アラミド、ポリパラフェニレンベンゾビスオキサゾール(PBO)、ポリケトン(PK)、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)、ナイロン(PA)、ポリアリレート、ポリイミド、ポリ乳酸、フッ素含有樹脂等の有機材料;金属、ガラス、炭素等の無機材料;などが挙げられる。
上記補強層の厚みとしては、特に制限はなく、所望の強度、耐久性等に応じて選択できるが、0.2mm以上が好ましく、1.0mm以上がより好ましく、また、20mm以下が好ましく、10mm以下がより好ましい。
上記補強層の形成方法としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、繊維状又はコード状の補強層の材料を、ホース内管の外側にスパイラル状又はブレード状に巻きつける方法、布状又は編地状にした補強層の材料をホース管の外側に巻きつける方法、などが挙げられる。
<<外被層>>
上記水素輸送ホースは、補強層の外側に配置される外被層をさらに有する。上記水素輸送ホースが外被層を有することで、ホースの強度をさらに向上させることができ、また、外部環境(雨水、薬品等)からホースを保護することができる。
上記外被層の材料としては、ポリアミド樹脂を含む限り、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができる。
外被層の材料がポリアミド樹脂を含むと、補強層を保護することができる。
外被層材料としてのポリアミド樹脂としては、メチレン鎖を有することが好ましい。メチレン鎖を有するポリアミド樹脂としては、例えば、ポリアミド11、ポリアミド12、ポリアミド610、ポリアミド1010、などが挙げられる。
メチレン鎖を有するポリアミド樹脂を外被層に用いることで、補強層保護と低温・常温屈曲時の割れ防止とを両立することができる。
ポリアミド樹脂以外の外被層材料としては、例えば、ポリウレタン、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン等の樹脂、エラストマー;などが挙げられる。
外被層材料としてのポリアミド樹脂は、低温・常温屈曲時の割れ防止の観点から、ポリアミド樹脂を構成する構成単位において炭素数が7以上のメチレン鎖を有することが好ましく、炭素数9以上のメチレン鎖を有することがより好ましい。メチレン鎖の炭素数は、上限には、特に定めないが、30以下であることが好ましい。
なお、ここでいうメチレン鎖において、例えば、ポリアミド樹脂を構成する構成単位において2種以上のメチレン鎖(例えば、炭素数5のメチレン鎖と炭素数8のメチレン鎖を有する場合)については、数の大きいメチレン鎖の数を採用するものとする。
上記水素輸送ホースは、補強層の外側に配置される外被層をさらに有する。上記水素輸送ホースが外被層を有することで、ホースの強度をさらに向上させることができ、また、外部環境(雨水、薬品等)からホースを保護することができる。
上記外被層の材料としては、ポリアミド樹脂を含む限り、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができる。

外被層材料としてのポリアミド樹脂としては、メチレン鎖を有することが好ましい。メチレン鎖を有するポリアミド樹脂としては、例えば、ポリアミド11、ポリアミド12、ポリアミド610、ポリアミド1010、などが挙げられる。
メチレン鎖を有するポリアミド樹脂を外被層に用いることで、補強層保護と低温・常温屈曲時の割れ防止とを両立することができる。
ポリアミド樹脂以外の外被層材料としては、例えば、ポリウレタン、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン等の樹脂、エラストマー;などが挙げられる。
外被層材料としてのポリアミド樹脂は、低温・常温屈曲時の割れ防止の観点から、ポリアミド樹脂を構成する構成単位において炭素数が7以上のメチレン鎖を有することが好ましく、炭素数9以上のメチレン鎖を有することがより好ましい。メチレン鎖の炭素数は、上限には、特に定めないが、30以下であることが好ましい。
なお、ここでいうメチレン鎖において、例えば、ポリアミド樹脂を構成する構成単位において2種以上のメチレン鎖(例えば、炭素数5のメチレン鎖と炭素数8のメチレン鎖を有する場合)については、数の大きいメチレン鎖の数を採用するものとする。
<<その他の部材>>
上記その他の部材としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、上記ホース内管の内側に配置された芯金具、上記外被層の外側に配置された締金具、などが挙げられる。

以上のように、本発明の水素輸送部品は、変性オレフィン系エラストマーが、マレイン酸変性オレフィンであることにより、ポリアミド構造とマレイン酸構造が酸アミド結合を形成した状態で海島構造を形成するため、使用中の両構造の相間剥離を防止することができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、変性オレフィン系エラストマーが、エチレンと1-ブテンとの共重合体の変性体であることにより、少量の添加により効果的に低弾性率化を達成することができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、樹脂組成物における変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量が、ポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して20質量%~30質量%であることにより、水素ガスバリア性を向上させることができると共に、低温環境下での柔軟性をより向上させることができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率が、1400MPa以下であることにより、低温環境下での柔軟性をより向上させることができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率が、600MPa以上であることにより、輸送部品中の内層材の低温下での屈曲性および耐動的疲労特性を向上させて、製品寿命を著しく長くすることができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、樹脂組成物の-40℃における貯蔵弾性率が、600MPa以上であることにより、輸送部品中の内層材の低温下での屈曲性および耐動的疲労特性を向上させて、製品寿命を著しく長くすることができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、樹脂組成物の30℃における水素透過係数が3.74×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であることにより、水素ガスバリア性を向上させることができる。
さらにまた、本発明の水素輸送部品は、前記水素輸送部品が水素輸送ホースであることが好ましい。
以下、実施例により、本発明をより具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれらの記載に何ら制限を受けるものではなく、その要旨を変更しない範囲において適宜変更可能である。
(実施例1~4及び比較例1~4)
表1に示す各配合内容に基づき、各樹脂組成物を調製した。表1の配合における数字は質量部を示す。
表1に記載の各樹脂組成物、並びに、該樹脂組成物を用いて作製したホース内管としての水素ガスバリア層と、水素ガスバリア層の外側に配設され、鋼線により構成される補強層と、補強層の外側に配設され、表1に示す材料からなる外被層とを有する水素輸送ホースについて、下記の測定及び評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
表1に示す各配合内容に基づき、各樹脂組成物を調製した。表1の配合における数字は質量部を示す。
表1に記載の各樹脂組成物、並びに、該樹脂組成物を用いて作製したホース内管としての水素ガスバリア層と、水素ガスバリア層の外側に配設され、鋼線により構成される補強層と、補強層の外側に配設され、表1に示す材料からなる外被層とを有する水素輸送ホースについて、下記の測定及び評価を行った。結果を表1に示す。
<-40℃における貯蔵弾性率の測定>
「-40℃における貯蔵弾性率」の値は、日立ハイテク(株)製のDMA7100(動的粘弾性測定試験機)を用いて測定した。試験用ロードセルに接続されたチャックに、表1に記載の各樹脂組成物を用いて作製した測定サンプル板(サイズ10mm×40mm×1mm厚)を取り付け、冷却加熱炉に投入した。その後、温度範囲-150℃~150℃、昇温速度3℃/min、歪量0.01%、周波数1Hzにて、動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルを得た。得られた温度範囲-150℃~150℃の動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルから、-40℃における貯蔵弾性率を得た。表1に、実測値と、比較例1の実測値を100としたときの相対値とを示す。
「-40℃における貯蔵弾性率」の値は、日立ハイテク(株)製のDMA7100(動的粘弾性測定試験機)を用いて測定した。試験用ロードセルに接続されたチャックに、表1に記載の各樹脂組成物を用いて作製した測定サンプル板(サイズ10mm×40mm×1mm厚)を取り付け、冷却加熱炉に投入した。その後、温度範囲-150℃~150℃、昇温速度3℃/min、歪量0.01%、周波数1Hzにて、動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルを得た。得られた温度範囲-150℃~150℃の動的粘弾性温度分散スペクトルから、-40℃における貯蔵弾性率を得た。表1に、実測値と、比較例1の実測値を100としたときの相対値とを示す。
<30℃における水素透過係数測定>
「30℃における水素透過係数」の値は、湿度20%、温度30℃の条件下、GTRテック製のGTR-11A(ガス透過測定装置)を用いて測定した。表1に記載の各樹脂組成物を用いて作製した測定サンプル(直径13mm、厚み0.2mm~0.3mm)をセルにセットし、セル内を真空脱気することで周辺ガスの影響を取り除いた。その後、測定対象ガスである圧力0.6MPaの水素ガスを流通させ、フィルムを透過した水素ガス量をガスクロマトグラフィー(TCD方式、キャリアガスAr)を用い、検量線法により求めた。その後、透過面積、厚み、圧力差から水素透過係数を算出した。表1に、実測値と、比較例1の実測値を100としたときの相対値とを示す。なお、上記水素透過係数の数値は小さいほど良好な結果である。

表1に記載の各樹脂組成物を用いて作製した上記水素輸送ホースに対し、圧力70MPa、雰囲気温度-40℃の条件で、低温で凍結しない水素ガスを移送対象として、約0MPaと70MPaの間で加圧と減圧を繰り返し、ホース内管が破壊されるまでの加圧と減圧の繰り返しの回数(サイクル数)を測定し、以下の評価基準によって評価した。評価が◎又は○であると、低温かつ高圧で移送対象を移送する場合にも耐久性が十分であると判断できる。

表1に記載の各樹脂組成物を用いて作製した上記水素輸送ホースに対し、圧力70MPa、雰囲気温度-40℃の条件で、低温で凍結しない水素ガスを移送対象として、約0MPaと70MPaの間で加圧と減圧を繰り返し、ホース内管が破壊されるまでの加圧と減圧の繰り返しの回数(サイクル数)を測定し、以下の評価基準によって評価した。評価が◎又は○であると、低温かつ高圧で移送対象を移送する場合にも耐久性が十分であると判断できる。

表1の結果に示されるように、変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量がポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%~50質量%の実施例1~4では、耐久性評価では10万回以上サイクル維持可能であり、且つ、外観も保たれている。
一方、変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量がポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%未満または50質量%超の比較例1~4では、耐久性評価では10万回を下回るか、及び/又は、外皮破損が見られ、耐久性が不十分であった。

以上より、本発明における樹脂組成物を用いることで、低温環境下での柔軟性に優れるホース内管及びホースを製造できることが分かった。
Claims (9)
- ポリアミド11と変性オレフィン系エラストマーとを含む樹脂組成物からなる水素ガスバリア層と、前記水素ガスバリア層の外側に配設された補強層と、前記補強層の外側に配設されたポリアミド樹脂を含む外被層とを有する水素輸送部品において、
前記樹脂組成物における前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量は、前記ポリアミド11と前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して15質量%~50質量%であり、前記樹脂組成物は、可塑剤を実質的に含まないことを特徴とする、水素輸送部品。 - 前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーは、マレイン酸変性オレフィンであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーは、エチレンと1-ブテンとの共重合体の変性体であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記樹脂組成物における前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーの含有量は、前記ポリアミド11と前記変性オレフィン系エラストマーとの合計に対して20質量%~30質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記樹脂組成物は、-40℃における貯蔵弾性率が1400MPa以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記樹脂組成物は、-40℃における貯蔵弾性率が600MPa以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記樹脂組成物は、30℃における水素透過係数が3.74×10-10〔cc・cm/cm2・s・cmHg〕以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記外被層におけるポリアミド樹脂は、メチレン鎖を有するポリアミド樹脂であることを特徴とする、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の水素輸送部品。
- 前記水素輸送部品が水素輸送ホースであることを特徴とする、請求項1~8のいずれかの1項に記載の水素輸送部品。
