Definitions
- the present invention relates to a polymerizable composition for an optical material, an optical material obtained from the composition, and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a polymerizable composition for an optical material from which a thiourethane urea resin molded article is obtained and a method for producing the same.
- plastic lenses are lighter and harder to break than inorganic lenses and can be dyed, in recent years, plastic lenses have rapidly spread as optical materials such as eyeglass lenses and camera lenses.
- Glass used as an optical material has been mainly glass since ancient times, but in recent years, various plastics for optical materials have been developed, and its use is expanding as an alternative to glass.
- materials for eyeglass lenses plastic materials such as acrylic resin, aliphatic carbonate resin, polycarbonate, polythiourethane are mainly used because they have excellent optical properties, are lightweight and do not break, and are excellent in moldability. It is like that.
- a typical example having a high refractive index is a polythiourethane resin obtained from a polymerizable composition containing an isocyanate compound and a thiol compound (Patent Document 1).
- Patent Documents 2 to 7 urethane urea resins have been developed for spectacle lens applications as substrates having good impact resistance.
- Patent Documents 8 to 12 thiourethane urea resins containing amine compounds, isocyanate compounds and thiol compounds, and impact resistance and chemical resistance
- Patent Documents 13 to 14 a polyurethane resin containing an amine compound, an isocyanate compound, and a polyol compound
- a plastic lens having a high refractive index can be obtained from thiourethane resin.
- the higher the refractive index the higher the specific gravity tends to be, and the higher the refractive index, the smaller the effect on weight reduction.
- urethane urea resin is a lighter material because of its lower specific gravity than thiourethane resin, and a plastic lens with good impact resistance can be obtained.
- the urethane urea resin molded product may have low solvent resistance and heat resistance, and may have low light resistance, and may be colored yellow when used for a long time.
- pot life since the time from preparation of the composition to injection into the casting mold (hereinafter referred to as pot life) is short, polymerization spots may occur during injection into the casting mold, or rapidly. In some cases, polymerization proceeded. As a result, white turbidity and striae may occur in the obtained lens.
- the inventors of the present invention include a specific amine compound, an isocyanate compound, and a polythiol compound, and as the polythiol compound, a dithiol compound having two mercapto groups and three or more mercapto compounds.
