Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Schleifen einer Walze (20) mittels einer Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10), bei dem eine Walze (20) mit einem Schleifwerkzeug (40) der Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) geschliffen wird, bei dem während des Schleifens mindestens ein Messwert mindestens einer auf die Oberflächengüte der Walze (20) bezogenen Messgröße gemessen wird und bei dem während des Schleifens zumindest ein Betriebsparameter der Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) als Funktion der Messgröße eingestellt wird. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) zum Schleifen einer Walze (20) mit einer Walzenhalterung (30) umfassend zwei Lager (32, 34), die zur drehbaren Lagerung der Walze (20) eingerichtet sind, mit einem Antrieb (36), der zum Drehantrieb der Walze (20) mit einstellbarer Walzendrehzahl eingerichtet ist, mit einem Schleifwerkzeug (40), das zur Aufnahme und zum Drehantrieb eines Schleifkörpers (42) mit einstellbarer Schleifkörperdrehzahl sowie zur Anstellung des Schleifkörpers (42) zur Walze eingerichtet ist, wobei die Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) eine Messvorrichtung (70) umfasst, die zum Messen von Messwerten einer auf die Oberflächengüte der Walze (20) bezogenen Messgröße eingerichtet ist und wobei die Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) eine zur Steuerung der Vorrichtung eingerichtete Steuerungseinrichtung (80) umfasst, wobei die Steuerungseinrichtung (80) eingerichtet ist, während des Schleifens die Messung mindestens eines Messwerts mit der Messvorrichtung (70) zu veranlassen und mindestens einen Betriebsparameter der Walzenschleifvorrichtung (10) als Funktion der Messgröße einzustellen.
