Abstract
Description
(1) 透明樹脂層と、

前記透明樹脂層および前記ヒートシール層の間の一部に設けられた、酸素検知成分を含む酸素検知層と、
を備えた酸素検知多層体であって、
前記酸素検知層が設けられていない部分の少なくとも一部を埋めて前記酸素検知多層体の厚みを補うように、前記透明樹脂層および前記ヒートシール層の間の一部にスペーサが設けられてなり、
前記酸素検知層の厚さが、0.5~40μmであり、
前記酸素検知層の厚さと前記スペーサの厚さの比が、15:1~1:10である、酸素検知多層体。
(2) 前記透明樹脂層と前記酸素検知層の間には、スペーサが設けられていない、(1)に記載の酸素検知多層体。
(3) 前記酸素検知多層体全体の表面積に対する前記スペーサの表面積の割合が、10~99.7%である、(1)または(2)に記載の酸素検知多層体。

(13) 前記ヒートシール層が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂、およびエチレン-(メタ)アクリレート共重合樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を含んでなる、(1)~(12)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体。
(14) 前記酸素検知層が、セルロース樹脂、ポリウレタン、アクリル樹脂、およびポリビニルアルコールからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を含んでなる、(1)~(13)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体。
(15) 第1封止層および/または第2封止層が、それぞれ、ポリウレタン、ポリオレフィン、ニトロセルロース樹脂、およびアクリル樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を含んでなる、(6)~(14)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体。
(16) 前記スペーサが、前記酸素検知層に接している、(1)~(15)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体。
(17) 前記スペーサが、前記酸素検知層から離間している、(1)~(15)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体。
(18) (1)~(17)のいずれか一つに記載の酸素検知多層体が少なくとも一部に用いられてなる、酸素検知包装材。
(19) 脱酸素剤組成物を(18)に記載の酸素検知包装材で包装した、脱酸素剤包装体。
(20) (1)~(17)のいずれかに記載の酸素検知多層体の製造方法であって、
透明樹脂層上に、酸素検知成分を含む酸素検知層をグラビア印刷により積層する工程と、
前記透明樹脂層上の酸素検知層が設けられていない部分に、スペーサをグラビア印刷により積層する工程と、
前記酸素検知層およびスペーサ上に、ヒートシール層を積層する工程と、
を備えてなる、製造方法。
本発明による酸素検知多層体は、透明樹脂層と、ヒートシール層と、透明樹脂層およびヒートシール層の間の一部に設けられた酸素検知層とを備えてなり、酸素検知層が設けられていない部分の少なくとも一部を埋めて酸素検知多層体の厚みを補うように、透明樹脂層およびヒートシール層の間の一部にスペーサが設けられてなる。本発明による酸素検知多層体は、透明樹脂層と酸素検知層との間に第1封止層をさらに備えてもよく、酸素検知層とヒートシール層との間に第2封止層をさらに備えてもよく、第2封止層とヒートシール層との間に接着層を備えてもよい。
本発明における透明樹脂層は、酸素検知多層体からなる酸素検知包装材において外面側に位置する層であり、酸素透過性を有し、かつ酸素検知層の視認性に優れる材料により形成されることが好ましい。透明樹脂層の酸素透過度は、1mL/(m2・atm・day)以上が好ましく、10mL/(m2・atm・day)以上がより好ましい。このような材料としては、例えば、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリプロピレン、およびナイロンからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を用いることが好ましい。また、透明樹脂層は、酸素検知成分の外部への溶出を防ぐために、酸素検知成分を透過しないことが好ましい。透明樹脂層の厚さは、通常、5~100μmであり、好ましくは10~50μmである。
本発明におけるヒートシール層は、酸素検知多層体からなる酸素検知包装材において内面側に位置する層であり、酸素透過性を有する材料で形成されることが好ましい。透明樹脂層の酸素透過度は、1×103mL/(m2・atm・day)以上が好ましく、2×103mL/(m2・atm・day)以上がより好ましい。このような材料としては、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂、およびエチレン-(メタ)アクリレート共重合樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を用いることが好ましい。また、ヒートシール層は、酸素検知成分の内容物への移行を防ぐために、酸素検知成分を透過しないことが好ましい。ヒートシール層の厚さは、通常、5~100μmであり、好ましくは10~80μmである。
本発明における酸素検知層は、酸素検知機能を有するものであり、酸素検知成分を含むものである。酸素検知成分には、可変性有機色素が用いられる。可変性有機色素は、分子内に動きやすいπ電子を有する長い共役二重結合系を含んでいる芳香族化合物であって、酸化還元により可逆的に色彩が変わる化合物である。可変性有機色素としては、酸化還元指示薬、あるいはチアジン染料、アジン染料、オキサジン染料、インジゴイド染料、およびチオインジゴイド染料などが好適に用いられる。例えば、メチレンブルー、ニューメチレンブルー、メチレングリーン、バリアミンブルーB、ジフェニルアミン、フェロイン、カプリブルー、サフラニンT、インジゴ、インジゴカルミン、インジゴ白、およびインジルビンなどが挙げられる。好ましくは、メチレンブルーに代表されるチアジン染料である。
本発明におけるスペーサは、酸素検知層が設けられていない部分の少なくとも一部を埋めて酸素検知多層体の厚みを補うためのものである。スペーサは、酸素検知多層体の厚みを補うものであれば、透明樹脂層、ヒートシール層、および封止層のいずれと接するように形成されてもよい。また、透明樹脂層と酸素検知層の間には、スペーサが設けられていないことが好ましい。外側の透明樹脂層と酸素検知層の間にスペーサを設けないことで、酸素検知層の視認性を向上することができる。
本発明における第1封止層は、酸素検知成分の外部への溶出を防ぐための層であり、第2封止層は、酸素検知成分の内容物への移行を防ぐための層である。第1封止層と第2封止層は、それぞれ、ポリウレタン、ポリオレフィン、ニトロセルロース樹脂およびアクリル樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂により形成されることが好ましい。第1封止層と第2封止層は、それぞれ異なる樹脂により形成されてもよいし、同一の樹脂により形成されてもよい。封止層の厚さは、通常、0.1~3μmであり、好ましくは0.2~2μmである。
本発明における接着層は、いずれか2層、例えば第2封止層とヒートシール層をラミネートにより貼合するために形成される、接着剤層または接着樹脂層である。ラミネート用接着剤としては、例えば、1液あるいは2液型の硬化ないし非硬化タイプのビニル系、(メタ)アクリル系、ポリアミド系、ポリエステル系、ポリエーテル系、ポリウレタン系、エポキシ系、ゴム系、その他等の溶剤型、水性型、あるいは、エマルジョン型等のラミネート用接着剤を使用することができる。上記の接着剤のコーティング方法としては、例えば、グラビアロールコート法、キスコート法、リバースロールコート法、フォンテン法、トランスファーロールコート法、その他の公知の方法で塗布することができる。
本発明による酸素検知多層体は、柄層をさらに有してもよい。柄層は、透明樹脂層よりも内容物側に設けることが好ましく、例えば、透明樹脂層と第1封止層の間や透明樹脂層とスペーサの間に設けることができる。柄層としては、印刷インキにより形成した文字やマーク等が挙げられる。
本発明による酸素検知多層体の製造方法は、透明樹脂層上に酸素検知成分を含む酸素検知層をグラビア印刷により積層する工程と、透明樹脂層上の酸素検知層が設けられていない部分にスペーサをグラビア印刷により積層する工程と、酸素検知層およびスペーサ上に、ヒートシール層を積層する工程と、を備えてなる。本発明による製造方法は、酸素検知層の積層前に、透明樹脂層上に第1封止層上をグラビア印刷により積層する工程をさらに備えてもよい。また、本発明による製造方法は、ヒートシール層の積層前に、酸素検知層上に第2封止層上をグラビア印刷により積層する工程をさらに備えてもよく、第2封止層上に接着層を積層する工程をさらに備えてもよい。
本発明による酸素検知包装材は、上記の酸素検知多層体が少なくとも一部に用いられたものである。酸素検知包装材は、酸素検知多層体のヒートシール層同士を重ね合わせてヒートシールすることで作製することができる。酸素検知包装材は、食品等の各種物品の包装材料として、公知の酸素濃度低減手段(脱酸素剤、窒素置換、減圧脱気など)と組み合わせて用いることができる。また、以下に示すように、酸素検知包装材を用いて脱酸素剤組成物を包装して脱酸素剤包装体とすることができる。
本発明による脱酸素剤包装体は、脱酸素剤組成物を上記の酸素検知包装材で包装したものである。脱酸素剤組成物は特に限定されず、公知の物を用いることができる。被酸化物質としては、鉄粉等の金属粉、アスコルビン酸等の有機化合物、炭素-炭素二重結合を有する高分子化合物、が例示できる。従来は、包装材の中に脱酸素剤組成物を封入し、包装材の上に、別途、酸素検知剤を貼り付けたもの(いわゆる、酸素検知剤付き脱酸素剤)が用いられてきた。本発明による脱酸素剤包装体においては、脱酸素剤の包装材の中に酸素検知層が組み込まれているため、別途、酸素検知剤を貼り付ける必要がなく、製造工程の減少およびコストの低減を図ることができる。
透明樹脂層として厚さ12μmのPETフィルム(商品名:E5100、東洋紡株式会社製)を用意した。該PETフィルム上に、第1封止層として厚さ1μmのウレタン系樹脂(商品名:CLIOSメジウム、DICグラフィックス株式会社製)をグラビア印刷により積層した。第1封止層上に、下記の酸素検知層用インキをグラビア印刷により2回に分けて印刷して、厚さ20μmの酸素検知層を形成した。酸素検知層の表面積は該PETフィルムの表面積に対し4%とした。また、透明樹脂層上の第1封止層を設けていない箇所で、かつ、酸素検知層から離間する位置に、スペーサ用インキ(灰色(墨+白)商品名:ラミックSR)をグラビア印刷により印刷して厚さ10μmのスペーサを設けた。スペーサと酸素検知層の間隔は2mmであった。また、スペーサの表面積は該PETフィルムの表面積に対し85%とし、スペーサの表面積と酸素検知層の表面積の比は85:4であった。続いて、該酸素検知層上に、第2封止層として第1封止層と同じ厚さ1μmのウレタン系樹脂をグラビア印刷により積層した。第2封止層上に、接着剤を介して、ヒートシール層として厚さ30μmのLLDPEフィルム(商品名:TUX-TCS、三井化学東セロ株式会社製)をドライラミネートした。得られた酸素検知多層体の模式断面図は、図1に示す通りであった。
・メチレンブルー 0.5質量部
・フロキシンB 0.4質量部
・D-フルクトース 5質量部
・水酸化マグネシウム 15質量部
・エチレングリコール 5質量部
・セルロースアセテートプロピオネート樹脂 5質量部
・IPA50質量%・酢酸エチル50質量%混合溶液 70質量部
スペーサの厚さを20μmに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
スペーサの厚さを5μmに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
酸素検知層の厚さを5μmに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
酸素検知層の厚さを10μmに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
スペーサを、第1封止層上で、かつ、酸素検知層から離間する位置に、下記のスペーサ用インキをグラビア印刷により印刷して厚さ10μmのスペーサを設けた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。得られた酸素検知多層体の模式断面図は、図2に示す通りであった。
酸素検知層およびスペーサ上に、第2封止層を積層した以外は、実施例6と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。得られた酸素検知多層体の模式断面図は、図3に示す通りであった。
スペーサを、第1封止層上で、かつ、酸素検知層に接する位置に設けた以外は、実施例7と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。得られた酸素検知多層体の模式断面図は、図4に示す通りであった。
スペーサを設けなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
スペーサの厚さを1μmに変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
酸素検知層の厚さを0.4μmに変更し、スペーサを設けなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にして、酸素検知多層体を作製した。
上記で作製した酸素検知多層体を用いて、以下の評価試験を行った。
上記で作製した酸素検知多層体をロール状に巻き取り、酸素検知層の外観を下記の基準で目視評価した。評価結果を表2に示す。
評価基準
○:酸素検知層にひび割れが発生していなかった。
×:酸素検知層にひび割れが発生していた。
上記で作製した酸素検知多層体を大気中に放置し、酸素検知層の変色を下記の基準で目視評価した。評価結果を表2に示す。
評価基準
○:酸素検知層の変色が判別し易かった。
×:色彩の変化は視認できるが、インキ割れによる剥がれが認められた。
××:酸素検知層の変色が判別し難かった。

前記酸素検知層の厚さが、0.5~40μmであり、

- 前記酸素検知層が、セルロース樹脂、ポリウレタン、アクリル樹脂、およびポリビニルアルコールからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種の樹脂を含んでなる、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の酸素検知多層体。
