Abstract
Description
≪全体構成≫
図1に示すシューズアッパー1は、着用者の足の甲側の部分を覆うインステップカバー部3と、着用者の足裏の部分を覆うソールカバー部2と、を備える。このシューズアッパー1をそのままシューズとして利用することもできるし、シューズアッパー1を構成するソールカバー部2の外側に樹脂などでできたアウターソール(図示せず)を取り付けて、シューズとしても構わない。
[1]インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2との間に繋ぎ目なく、無縫製で立体的に編成されている。
[2]シューズアッパー1の踵の位置に、シューズアッパー1を補強する補強部材を収納するポケット部4を備える。
インステップカバー部3の上方にはシューズ開口部5が形成されている。シューズ開口部5は、着用者が足を挿入する履き口5iと、履き口5iから爪先側に向かって延びるスリット5sと、を備える。インステップカバー部3におけるスリット5sの位置には、靴紐を通す孔である鳩目孔(eyelet hole)60が形成されている。靴紐を用いないシューズであれば、鳩目孔は必要ない。
ソールカバー部2は、シューズアッパー1をそのままシューズとして利用する場合は、靴底となる部分である。ソールカバー部2の外側にアウターソールを取り付けるのであれば、ソールカバー部2は、シューズの中敷きとして機能する。いずれの形態であっても、ソールカバー部2は着用者の足裏の全面を覆う。
ポケット部4は、インステップカバー部3の踵側の一部で構成される外側編地部40と、ソールカバー部2に連続して形成され、外側編地部40の内部に入り込んだ内側編地部49と、で構成されている。外側編地部40と内側編地部49とは、インステップカバー部3の左側部分と右側部分の踝近傍の位置(一点鎖線で示す接合ラインb1,b3の位置)、および上記左側部分と右側部分に跨がる履き口5i近傍の位置(一点鎖線で示す接合ラインb2の位置)で繋がっており、従ってポケット部4の開口部であるポケット口4iは、ソールカバー部2側に開口している。
上記シューズアッパー1は、大略すると以下の四つの編成方法によって製造することができる。いずれの編成方法においても、シューズアッパー1の右側部分を横編機の一方の針床(前針床または後針床)、左側部分を他方の針床(後針床または前針床)に付属させた状態で編成することで製造する。
[編成方法I]…インステップカバー部3のシューズ開口部5の位置から編成を開始し、ソールカバー部2の中央部の位置で編成を終了する編成方法。
[編成方法II]…ソールカバー部2の中央部の位置から編成を開始し、インステップカバー部3のシューズ開口部5の位置で編成を終了する編成方法。
[編成方法III]…シューズアッパー1の爪先の位置から編成を開始し、踵の位置で編成を終了する編成方法。
[編成方法IV]…シューズアッパー1の踵の位置から編成を開始し、爪先の位置で編成を終了する編成方法。
図2(A)は、シューズアッパー1の右側部分の編成手順を示す模式図である。編成方法Iでは、図2(A)に示す模式図の紙面下側から上側に向かって編成を行なう。シューズアッパー1の左側部分は、図2(A)の紙面奥側に配置されていると考えて良い。シューズアッパー1の右側部分と左側部分は、紙面右側に配される踵の位置、および紙面左側に配される爪先の位置で繋がっている。なお、言うまでもないが、足の形状は左右非対称であるため、足の形状に合わせてシューズアッパー1の右側部分と左側部分の編幅などを変えることが好ましい。
図2(A)に示す編成方法Iではまず、シューズアッパー1のシューズ開口部5となる部分を編成する。そして、一方の針床でインステップカバー部3の右側部分(以下、本体右部)を編成すると共に、他方の針床でインステップカバー部3の左側部分(以下、本体左部)を編成する。その編成にあたり、シューズアッパー1の立体形状に応じて、引き返し編成、C字状編成、および筒状編成を使い分け、本体右部と本体左部とが爪先の位置と踵の位置で繋がったインステップカバー部3を編成する。また、そのインステップカバー部3の編成の際、シューズアッパー1の踵の位置で本体右部と本体左部とに跨がるポケット部4を編成する。
ポケット部4を編成する際の編目の形成状態を、図3の編成工程図に基づいて説明する。図3の編成工程図には、図2(B)におけるポケット部4に対応する部分の編成が示されており、紙面左側の一点鎖線はポケット部4の境界位置(図2(A)の接合ラインb3に対応する位置)である。図3の左欄のアルファベット+数字は編成工程の番号を示し、中欄は各編成工程における編目の係止状態を示す。中欄の下のアルファベットA~Mは編針の位置を示す。また、右欄の左右方向の矢印は編成方向を、上下方向の矢印は目移しを示す。中欄における滴マークは内側編地部49の編目を示し、丸マークは内側編地部49以外の編目を示し、V字マークは掛け目を示す。なお、黒く塗り潰されたマークは、各編成工程で編成された編目を示す。
以上説明した編成方法Iによれば、図1に示すポケット口4iがソールカバー部2側に向いたポケット部4を、シューズアッパー1の踵に形成することができる。もちろん、シューズアッパー1の爪先にポケット部4を形成する場合も、編成方法Iの手順と同様の手順によって、ポケット口4iが下側を向いたポケット部4を形成することができる。
編成方法IIでは、ソールカバー部2の中央部の位置から編成を開始し、インステップカバー部のシューズ開口部5の位置で編成を終了する例を説明する。その説明にあたり、編成方法Iの説明に用いた図2(A)を参照する。
編成方法IIIでは、図1に示すシューズアッパー1の爪先の位置から編成を開始し、踵の位置で編成を終了する例を、図4の編成手順の模式図、および図5のポケット部の編成工程図に基づいて説明する。図4および図5の見方はそれぞれ、図2(A)および図3と同様である。
図4に示す編成方法IIIではまず、爪先からポケット部4の形成直前までの部分は、前後の針床を用いた引き返し編成、筒状編成およびC字状編成を使い分けて編成する。次いで、本体左部と本体右部とに跨るポケット部4を編成しながら、インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2を編成し、シューズアッパー1を完成させる。ポケット部4の編成手順については、図5の編成工程図を参照して後述する。
次に、ポケット部4の具体的な編成手順を、図5の編成工程図に基づいて説明する。図5のT0には、ポケット部4の直前の位置まで編成したインステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2とが、前後の針床に係止された状態が示されている。点線は、両カバー部3,2の境界を示しており、当該境界には繋ぎ目がない。具体的には、FBの編針B,D,F,Hに本体左部の編目が、FBの編針J,Lに底左部の編目が、BBの編針C,E,G,Iに本体左部の編目が、BBの編針K,Mに底右部の編目が係止されている。この状態からポケット部4の編成を開始する。なお、図5における一点鎖線は、ポケット部4が設けられる部分と設けられない部分との境界を示しており、図5ではポケット部4が設けられない部分の編成については省略している。
編成方法IVでは、図1に示すシューズアッパー1の踵の位置から編成を開始し、爪先の位置で編成を終了する例を説明する。その説明にあたり、編成方法IIIの説明に用いた図4,5を利用する。
以上説明したいずれかの編成方法によるシューズアッパー1の編成が終了したら、シューズアッパー1全体を足型にはめると共に、ポケット部4の内部に補強部材を挿入する。そして、ポケット部4のポケット口4iが隠れるようにソールカバー部2にアウターソールを取り付け、シューズアッパー1全体を熱処理して、シューズアッパー1を立体的に成形する。その熱処理によって、ソールカバー部2の底左部と底右部との接続部が融着されると共に、ポケット口4iが閉じられる。その結果、踵の位置にヒールカウンタを備えるシューズを製造することができる。
実施形態1において、ポケット部4を構成する外側編地部40は、インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2との境界位置までの長さとした。これに対して、図6に示すように、外側編地部40に、上記境界位置から突出する突出部401を形成しても良い。例えば、図6(A)に示すように、爪先側の突出量が短く、踵側の突出量が長い突出部401を外側編地部40に形成することが挙げられる。突出部401を設けることで、ポケット部4の内部に補強部材を収納させ、突出部401を爪先側に折り曲げることで、突出部401でポケット口4iを確実に閉じることができる。もちろん、突出部401を爪先側に折り曲げた後、さらに突出部401の先端をポケット部4の内部に折り込んでも良い。このような突出部401を外側編地部40に設けることで、アウターソールの取り付け時にポケット部4から補強部材が脱落し難くでき、アウターソールの取り付け作業を容易にすることできる。ここで、突出部401に、紙面縦方向に延びる複数のスリットを形成すれば、突出部401でポケット口4iを閉じるときに、外側編地部40に皺が寄ることを抑制できる。

シューズアッパーの踵および爪先の少なくとも一方の位置に、シューズアッパーの左側部分と右側部分とに跨がって形成されるポケット部を備え、
前記ポケット部は、前記インステップカバー部の一部で構成される外側編地部と、前記ソールカバー部に連続し、前記外側編地部の内側に入り込んだ内側編地部と、で構成され、
