Abstract
Description
また、該課題を解決するために、可塑剤を用いることが提案されているが、可塑剤を用いることによる弊害、即ち、材料全体の耐熱性、耐水性及び/又は強度(弾性率)が低下するという課題、添加する可塑剤が材料から流出(ブリードアウト)するという課題を有する。
具体的には、本発明の目的は、オキシランやオキセタン基を有する熱硬化性樹脂、例えばエポキシ樹脂などのみでは低靭性の材料しか提供できず、クラックが発生する、などの課題を解決することにある。
また、本発明の目的は、上記目的以外に、又は、上記目的に加えて、熱硬化性樹脂が有する、強度(弾性率)などの力学特性、光学特性、耐熱性、及び/又は耐久性を維持しつつ、比較的高靭性の熱硬化性樹脂を有する材料を提供することにある。
また、本発明の目的は、該組成物を用いて得られる架橋体、具体的には封止材、塗膜などを提供することにある。
さらに、本発明は、該架橋体の製造方法を提供することにある。
<1> A.環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなり、環状分子にオキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基と反応し得る官能基を有するポリロタキサンであって、該官能基がカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、フェノール基、オキシラン基、及びオキセタン基からなる群から選択される1種以上である、ポリロタキサン;及び
B.オキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基を2以上有する化合物;
を有する架橋用組成物。
<3> 上記<2>において、スペーサが、平均1.5~10個、好ましくは2.0~6.0個、より好ましくは2.5~5.0個の繰返し単位を有する重合部を有するのがよい。
C1.フェノール樹脂、酸無水物、ポリカルボン酸化合物、及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;又は
C2.イミダゾール類、二級アミン類、及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;
であるのがよい。
<6> 上記<5>において、架橋体は、JIS K5600-5-1に準じた方法で該架橋体を屈曲した際にクラックが発生する最小のマンドルの径が25mm以下、好ましくは18mm以下、より好ましくは13mm以下である靭性を有するのがよい。

C2.イミダゾール類、二級アミン類、及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;である、架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを準備する工程;をさらに有し、
該架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを工程c)において、ポリロタキサンA及び化合物Bと共に混合し、加熱して、ポリロタキサンAと化合物Bとを架橋するのがよい。

また、本発明により、該組成物を用いて得られる架橋体、具体的には封止材、塗膜などを提供することができる。特に、高靭性の架橋体、具体的には高靭性の封止材、高靭性の塗膜などを提供することができる。
さらに、本発明により、該架橋体の製造方法を提供することができる。
本願は、架橋用組成物、該組成物から形成される架橋体、及び架橋体の製造方法を開示する。以下、順に説明する。
本願は、架橋用組成物を開示する。
該架橋用組成物は、
A.環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなり、環状分子にオキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基と反応し得る官能基を有するポリロタキサン;及び
B.オキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基を2以上有する化合物;
を有する。
本願の架橋用組成物は、ポリロタキサンAを有する。
ポリロタキサンAは、環状分子がオキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基と反応し得る官能基を有する。
官能基は、カルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、フェノール基、オキシラン基、及びオキセタン基からなる群から選択される1種以上であるのがよく、好ましくはカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、及びオキシラン基からなる群から、より好ましくはカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、及び第2級アミノ基からなる群から、選択される1種以上であるのがよい。
スペーサの例として、エチレンオキシ基、ヘキシルオキシ基、ヘキシル酸エステル基、ブチレンカルバモイル基、フェニレン誘導体を有する基、ジメチルシリル重合基、ポリエチレンオキシド重合基、ポリカプロラクトン重合基などを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
重合部の繰返し単位は、ポリカプロラクトンであるのがよい。
本発明のポリロタキサンAの環状分子は、環状であり、開口部を有し、直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されるものであれば、特に限定されない。
環状分子は、上述の官能基を有するのがよく、官能基はスペーサを介して結合されるのがよい。上記スペーサを結合するため、原材料として用いる環状分子は、水酸基を有するのがよい。また、環状分子は、上記官能基以外の基を有してもよい。例えば、上記官能基以外の基として、アセチル基、プロピオニル基、ブチルカルバモイル基、ヒドロキシプロピル基、ヒドロキシブチル基、トリメチルシリル基、フェニル基、ベンジルカルバモイル基などを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
本発明のポリロタキサンAの直鎖状分子は、用いる環状分子の開口部に串刺し状に包接され得るものであれば、特に限定されない。
例えば、直鎖状分子として、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸、セルロース系樹脂(カルボキシメチルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース等)、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリビニルアセタール系樹脂、ポリビニルメチルエーテル、ポリアミン、ポリエチレンイミン、カゼイン、ゼラチン、でんぷん等及び/またはこれらの共重合体、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、およびその他オレフィン系単量体との共重合樹脂などのポリオレフィン系樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル樹脂、ポリスチレンやアクリロニトリル-スチレン共重合樹脂等のポリスチレン系樹脂、ポリメチルメタクリレートや(メタ)アクリル酸エステル共重合体、アクリロニトリル-メチルアクリレート共重合樹脂などのアクリル系樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂、塩化ビニル-酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂、ポリビニルブチラール樹脂等;及びこれらの誘導体又は変性体、ポリイソブチレン、ポリテトラヒドロフラン、ポリアニリン、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合体(ABS樹脂)、ナイロンなどのポリアミド類、ポリイミド類、ポリイソプレン、ポリブタジエンなどのポリジエン類、ポリジメチルシロキサンなどのポリシロキサン類、ポリスルホン類、ポリイミン類、ポリ無水酢酸類、ポリ尿素類、ポリスルフィド類、ポリフォスファゼン類、ポリケトン類、ポリフェニレン類、ポリハロオレフィン類、並びにこれらの誘導体からなる群から選ばれるのがよい。例えばポリエチレングリコール、ポリイソプレン、ポリイソブチレン、ポリブタジエン、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリテトラヒドロフラン、ポリジメチルシロキサン、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリビニルアルコール及びポリビニルメチルエーテルからなる群から選ばれるのがよい。特にポリエチレングリコールであるのがよい。
本願の、ポリロタキサンAにおいて、(環状分子、直鎖状分子)の組合せが、(α-シクロデキストリン由来、ポリエチレングリコール由来)であるのがよい。
本発明のポリロタキサンAの封鎖基は、擬ポリロタキサンの両端に配置され、用いる環状分子が脱離しないように作用する基であれば、特に限定されない。
例えば、封鎖基として、ジニトロフェニル基類、シクロデキストリン類、アダマンタン基類、トリチル基類、フルオレセイン類、シルセスキオキサン類、ピレン類、置換ベンゼン類(置換基として、アルキル、アルキルオキシ、ヒドロキシ、ハロゲン、シアノ、スルホニル、カルボキシル、アミノ、フェニルなどを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。置換基は1つ又は複数存在してもよい。)、置換されていてもよい多核芳香族類(置換基として、上記と同じものを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。置換基は1つ又は複数存在してもよい。)、及びステロイド類からなる群から選ばれるのがよい。なお、ジニトロフェニル基類、シクロデキストリン類、アダマンタン基類、トリチル基類、フルオレセイン類、シルセスキオキサン類、及びピレン類からなる群から選ばれるのが好ましく、より好ましくはアダマンタン基類又はシクロデキストリン類であるのがよい。
本願の架橋用組成物は、化合物Bを有する。
化合物Bは、オキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基を2以上有する。
化合物Bとして、ビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル、テトラメチルビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル、ビスフェノールFジグリシジルエーテル、3,4‐エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル3,4-エポキシシクロヘキサンカルボキシラート、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ポリプロピレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、テトラキスフェノールエタンエポキシ、フェノルノボラックエポキシ、ナフタレンノボラックエポキシ、アロンオキセタンOXT-221、OXT-121(東亜合成製)及びそれらの誘導体を挙げることができるが、これに限定されない。
これらのうち、ビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル、3,4‐エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル3,4-エポキシシクロヘキサンカルボキシラートであるのが好ましく、より好ましくはビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテルであるのがよい。
架橋体X-1は、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2、並びに化合物B-1及びB-2を有してなる。
ポリロタキサンA-1は、直鎖状分子2が環状分子3a、3b、3cの開口部を串刺し状に包接し、該直鎖状分子2の両端に封鎖基4a及び4bが配置され環状分子3a、3b、3cが脱離しないようにしてなる。環状分子3aは、スペーサ5aを介して、黒四角(■)で表す官能基6aを有する。また、環状分子3aは、スペーサ5aと同様のスペーサ5b及び5cを有する。環状分子3bは、スペーサ5fを介して、黒四角(■)で表す官能基6bを有すると共に、スペーサ5fと同様のスペーサ5d及び5eを有する。環状分子3cは、スペーサ5hを介して、黒四角(■)で表す官能基6cを有すると共に、スペーサ5hと同様のスペーサ5gを有する。
ポリロタキサンA-1は、化合物B-1及びB-2を介してポリロタキサンA-2と架橋して架橋体X-1を形成する。具体的には、ポリロタキサンA-1の環状分子3aが有する官能基6aが化合物B-1のオキシラン基等21aと反応し結合を形成する。また、ポリロタキサンA-2の環状分子13aが有する官能基16aが化合物B-1のオキシラン基等21bと反応し結合を形成する。さらに、ポリロタキサンA-1の環状分子3cが有する官能基6cが化合物B-1のオキシラン基等21cと反応し結合を形成する。また、ポリロタキサンA-2の環状分子13cが有する官能基16dが化合物B-1のオキシラン基等21dと反応し結合を形成する。これによって、架橋体X-1が形成される。
架橋体X-2は、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2、並びに化合物B同士の架橋体B-3を有してなる。
ポリロタキサンA-1は、上記と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基6d及び6eを有する。
ポリロタキサンA-2は、上記と同様に、且つポリロタキサンA-1と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基16e及び16fを有する。
化合物Bの各々は、その両端に、黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等を有し、該オキシラン基等同士、例えばオキシラン基等23b、24b及び25aが反応し、化合物B同士が結合し、化合物Bの架橋体B-3が形成される。
また、化合物Bの架橋体B-3のうち、黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等26bが黒四角(■)で表す官能基16eと反応し、且つ黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等27bが黒四角(■)で表す官能基16fと反応し、ポリロタキサンA-2と化合物Bの架橋体B-3とが結合する。
このようにして、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2が、化合物B同士の架橋体B-3を介して結合する架橋体X-2が形成される。
図3は、化合物B同士の架橋体X-3を概略的に示す。
架橋体X-3は、化合物B 31~41が、オキシラン基等同士を反応して結合を形成してなる。化合物31と化合物32とは、化合物31の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等31aと化合物32の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等32aとが反応し、且つ化合物35の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等35aとも反応し、結合が形成される。他の化合物B同士も、同様に、黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等同士が反応し、結合が形成され、架橋体X-3が形成される。
該基の一つが、ポリロタキサンA-1の第1の官能基と反応して結合を形成し、
該3以上の基の他の1つがポリロタキサンA-2の第2の官能基と反応して結合を形成し、且つ
該3以上の基の他の1つが他の化合物B-2のオキシラン基等と反応して結合を形成することができる。この場合、化合物B-1により、化合物B同士の架橋体とポリロタキサンA同士の架橋体との架橋体X-4を形成することができる。
架橋体X-4は、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2、並びに黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等を3つ有する化合物51~56を有してなる。
ポリロタキサンA-1は、上記と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基6f及び6gを有する。
ポリロタキサンA-2は、上記と同様に、且つポリロタキサンA-1と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基16g及び16hを有する。
また、化合物51は、該化合物51の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等51aがポリロタキサンA-1の黒四角(■)で表す官能基6fと反応し結合を形成する。同様に、化合物54の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等54aとポリロタキサンA-1の黒四角(■)で表す官能基6gと反応し結合を形成する。
このようにして、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2が、オキシラン基等を3つ有する化合物B同士の架橋体B-5を介して結合する架橋体X-4が形成される。
ポリロタキサンAの量及び化合物Bの量は、特に限定されないが、架橋用組成物から得られる架橋体の特性に応じて、これらの量を特定することができる。例えば、架橋体に求める特性が、化合物B由来の特性、例えば加工性、硬化による剛直性、耐熱性などに重きを置く場合、ポリロタキサンAの量は、化合物Bの量に対して、相対的に低くするのがよく、例えば、重量比で、ポリロタキサンA/化合物Bが0.15以下、好ましくは0.10以下であるのがよい。
本願の架橋用組成物は、架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを有してもよい。
架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cは、架橋の形態により、以下のC1又はC2を用いることができる。
C1:フェノール樹脂、酸無水物、ポリカルボン酸化合物、及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種、好ましくは酸無水物、ポリカルボン酸化合物、及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種、より好ましくは酸無水物及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種。
C2:イミダゾール類、二級アミン類、及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種、好ましくはイミダゾール類及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種、より好ましくは三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種。
C1の酸無水物として、テトラヒドロ無水フタル酸、メチルテトラヒドロ無水フタル酸、ヘキサヒドロ無水フタル酸、無水ピロメリット酸、無水トリメリット酸、ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸無水物などを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
C1のポリカルボン酸化合物として、アジピン酸、トリメリット酸、グルタル酸、1,3,5-ペンタントリカルボン酸などを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
C1の一級アミン化合物として、ジエチレントリアミン、トリエチレンテトラミン、m-キシレンジアミンなどを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
C2の二級アミン類として、ピペリジン、N-アミノエチルピペラジンなどを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
C2の三級アミン類として、N,N-ジメチルピペラジン、トリエチレンジアミン、ベンジルジメチルアミン、2,4,6-トリス(ジメチルアミノエチル)フェノール、ジアザビシクロウンデセンを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
一方、ポリロタキサンAが官能基としてオキシラン基又はオキセタン基を有しない場合、該ポリロタキサンAは、化合物Bに対して、化学量論的に反応(架橋)する。この場合、C2は、ポリロタキサンAと反応していない過剰な化合物B同士を架橋させる架橋開始剤として作用する。したがって、ポリロタキサンAが官能基としてオキシラン基又はオキセタン基を有しない場合、使用するC2の量は、化合物Bに対して5wt%以下、好ましくは2wt%、より好ましくは1wt%以下であるのがよい。
架橋体X-5は、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2、並びに化合物B-1~B-6、架橋剤C1-1~C1-3を有してなる。
ポリロタキサンA-1は、上記と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基6a~6cを有する。
ポリロタキサンA-2は、上記と同様に、且つポリロタキサンA-1と同様に、直鎖状分子、環状分子及び封鎖基を有してなり、環状分子がスペーサを介して黒四角(■)で表す官能基16a~16cを有する。
架橋剤C1-1~C1-3は、その両端に、黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等と反応し結合することができる、黒星(★)で表す基61a及び61b、62a及び62b、並びに63a及び63bを有する。
架橋剤C1-1の黒星(★)で表す基61aは、化合物B-2の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等22bと反応し結合を形成する。化合物B-2の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等22aは、黒四角(■)で表す官能基6bと反応し結合を形成する。
また、架橋剤C1-1の黒星(★)で表す基61bは、化合物B-3の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等23aと反応し結合を形成し、化合物B-3の黒三角(▲)で表すオキシラン基等23bは、黒四角(■)で表す官能基16bと反応し結合を形成する。これにより、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2は、化合物B-2、架橋剤C1-1、及び化合物B-3を介して、架橋が形成される。
このようにして、ポリロタキサンA-1及びA-2が、オキシラン基等を有する化合物Bを介して結合し、且つ架橋剤C1を介して結合する架橋体X-5が形成される。
他の成分として、シリカ;ポリスチレン微粒子;炭酸カルシウム;酸化チタン;クレー;マイカ;銅、ニッケル、銀、カーボンブラックなどの誘電性フィラー;水酸化マグネシウム、酸化アンチモン、水酸化アルミニウムなどの難燃性フィラー;チタン酸バリウム、チタン酸ストロンジウムなどの誘電性フィラー;酸化防止剤、UV吸収剤、シランカップリング剤、可塑剤、消泡剤、などを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
本願は、上記架橋用組成物から形成される架橋体を開示する。
具体的には、本発明の架橋体は、上述の架橋体X-1、X-2、及び/又はX-3、並びに/もしくはX-4を含む。
本願の架橋体は、エポキシ樹脂と比較して高靭性であるのがよく、具体的にはJIS K5600-5-1に準じた方法で本願の架橋体を屈曲した際にクラックが発生する最小のマンドルの径が25mm以下、好ましくは18mm以下、より好ましくは13mm以下での靭性を有するのがよい。
具体的には、本発明の架橋体は、電子電気部品や半導体における封止材、パッケージ、アンダーフィル、絶縁塗膜、保護塗膜、自動車や電化製品用塗膜、防蝕塗装、メンテナンス途装、ライニング材、自動車用プライマー、粘接着剤、フィラーのバインダー、プリント配線基板材料、土木建築材、複合材料などに用いることができるが、これらに限定されない。
本願は、上記架橋体の製造方法を開示する。
該方法は、
a)ポリロタキサンAを準備する工程;
b)化合物Bを準備する工程;及び
c)ポリロタキサンA及び化合物Bを混合し、加熱して、ポリロタキサンAと化合物Bとを架橋する工程;
を有することにより、得ることができる。
なお、上記方法で用いる、ポリロタキサンA、化合物B、及び架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cは、上述と同じ定義を有する。
工程a)は、ポリロタキサンAを準備する工程である。
工程a)は、以下のa)-1)、a)-2)及びa)-3)を有するのがよい。
工程a)-1)は、環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなるポリロタキサンを準備する工程である。ここで、工程a)-1)は、従来より公知の方法によって行うことができる。例えば、特開2005-154675号公報、特開2007-91938号公報を参照して行うことができる。
第2の化合物は、用いる官能基に依存して用いることができる。第2の化合物として、コハク酸無水物、グルタル酸無水物、フェニルコハク酸無水物、無水マレイン酸、トリメリット酸無水物、などの環状酸無水物;クロロ酢酸、2-ブロモプロピオン酸、3-ブロモプロピオン酸、3-クロロプロピオン酸、及びこれらのトリエチルアンモニウム塩、ピリジニウム塩、エチレンジアミン、ヘキサメチレンジアミン、ブロモエチルアミン、アラニン、グリシンなどのアミノ酸、3-メチル-3-オキセタンメタノールなどを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
工程a)-3)は、工程a)-1)で準備するポリロタキサンの種類、工程a)-2)で準備する第2の化合物の種類などに依存するが、室温から150℃、常圧下、溶媒存在下又は不存在下で行うことができる。溶媒として、酢酸エチルや酢酸ブチルなどのエステル系溶媒;メチルエチルケトンやシクロヘキサノンなどのケトン系溶媒;ジメチルホルムアミド、ジメチルアセトアミド、ジメチルスルホキシドなどを挙げることができるがこれらに限定されない。
工程b)は、化合物Bを準備する工程である。
化合物Bが市販購入可能であれば購入してもよく、市販購入不能の場合には、調製することができる。
<<工程c)>>
工程c)は、ポリロタキサンA及び化合物B、必要な場合には架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを混合し、加熱して、ポリロタキサンAと化合物Bとを架橋する工程である。
以下、実施例に基づいて、本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明は本実施例に限定されるものではない。
直鎖分子:ポリエチレングリコール(重量平均分子量3.5万)、環状分子:α-シクロデキストリン(以下、単に「α-CD」と略記する場合がある)、封鎖基:アダマンタンアミン基からなるポリロタキサン(以下、単に「APR」と略記する場合がある)をWO2005/052026号公報に記載されている方法で作製した。なお、1H-NMR測定(400MHz JEOL JNM-AL400(日本電子株式会社製)。以降、1H-NMR測定は、この装置による)によって計算されたAPRの包接率は0.25であった。ここで、包接率は、α-CDがポリエチレングリコールにより串刺し状に包接される際にα-CDが最大限に包接される量を1として得た(Macromolecules 1993, 26, 5698-5703を参照こと。なお、この文献の内容はすべて本明細書に組み込まれる)。
上記ポリロタキサンのα-CDのOH基の一部を、さらにヒドロキシプロピル化したポリロタキサンY-1(以下、ヒドロキシプロピル化ポリロタキサンを「HAPR」と略記する)を、WO2005-080469(なお、この文献の内容は全て参考として本明細書に組み込まれる)に記載される方法と同様に調製した。1H-NMR分析により、α-CD包接率:25%、ヒドロキシプロピル基の導入率:48%を確認した。また、GPCにより重量平均分子量Mw:150,000を確認した。
上記で得た修飾ポリロタキサンY-1 20gを三口フラスコに入れ、窒素をゆっくり流しながら、ε-カプロラクトン90gを導入した。130℃、60分間メカニカル撹拌機によって均一に撹拌した後、予めトルエンで薄めた2-エチルヘキサン酸スズ(50wt%溶液)6gを添加し、5時間反応させ、溶媒を除去し、反応生成物(修飾ポリロタキサンY-1にポリカプロラクトン基を導入したものである)113gを得た。IRを測定した結果、1736cm-1のエステル由来のピークが見られた。また、GPCにより、重量平均分子量Mwは586,800、分子量分布Mw/Mnは1.4であった。水酸基価は73mgKOH/gであった。溶媒を除去し、側鎖にポリカプロラクトンで修飾されたポリロタキサンを固体として得て、修飾ポリロタキサンY-2とした。
反応容器に修飾ポリロタキサンY-2 10gを酢酸エチル8gに溶解し、100℃にしてから、トリエチルアミン1.0g及び予め酢酸エチル4gに溶解したコハク酸無水物1.0g(修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して0.8当量)をゆっくり導入した。反応を4時間続けた後、ガスクロマトグラフでコハク酸無水物が消費されたことを確認した。IRで、1736cm-1のエステル由来のピークに加えて、1710cm-1にカルボキシル基由来のピークが見られた。コハク酸由来のカルボン酸基をα-CDに有する修飾ポリロタキサンの50wt%酢酸エチル溶液を得て、これを修飾ポリロタキサンA-1とした。酸価は1.25mmol/gであった。
得られた修飾ポリロタキサンA-1は、α-CDとカルボン酸基との間にスペーサとしてのカプロラクトン重合部を有した。該重合部が修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して平均的に付与されたと仮定すると、該重合部は、繰り返し単位が平均で3.9個であった。
反応容器に修飾ポリロタキサンY-2 10gを酢酸エチル20gに溶解し、100℃にしてから、トリエチルアミン0.5g及び予め酢酸エチル10gに溶解したトリメリット酸無水物2.0g(修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して0.4当量)をゆっくり導入した。反応を4時間続けた後、ガスクロマトグラフでトリメリット酸無水物が消費されたことを確認した。トリメリット酸由来のカルボン酸基を有する修飾ポリロタキサンA-2の30wt%酢酸エチル溶液を得て、これを修飾ポリロタキサンA-2とした。酸価は、1.26mmol/gであった。
得られた修飾ポリロタキサンA-2は、α-CDとカルボン酸基との間にスペーサとしてのカプロラクトン重合部を有した。該重合部が修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して平均的に付与されたと仮定すると、該重合部は、繰り返し単位が平均で3.9個であった。
反応容器に修飾ポリロタキサンA-1の50wt%酢酸エチル溶液 20gをDMSO40mlで希釈し、ベンゾトリアゾール-1-イルオキシ-トリスジメチルアミノホスホニウム塩(BOP)5.5g及びエチレンジアミン15gを添加し、室温(25℃)で一晩撹拌した。続いて、酢酸エチル40ml加えて、純水で分相した後、有機層を回収し、硫酸マグネシウムで水分を除去した。抽出物のIR分析により、原料である修飾ポリロタキサンA-1の1710cm-1のカルボキシル基由来のピークが減少し、1735cm-1のピーク強度が増加し、新たに1250cm-1、3400cm-1のピークが現れた。また、ニンヒドリン試薬により、抽出物が紫色に着色した。ジエチルアミン由来のアミノ基を有する修飾ポリロタキサンA-3であることが分かり、これを修飾ポリロタキサンA-3とした。
得られた修飾ポリロタキサンA-3は、α-CDとアミノ基との間にスペーサとしてのカプロラクトン重合部及びコハク酸エステル部を有した。該重合部が修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して平均的に付与されたと仮定すると、該重合部は、繰り返し単位が平均で3.9個であった。
反応容器に修飾ポリロタキサンA-1の50wt%酢酸エチル溶液 20gをDMSO40mlで希釈し、1,8-ジアザビシクロ[5.4.0]-7-ウンデセン(DBU)1.9g、2-ブロモエチルアミン臭化水素酸塩2.6gを添加し、室温(25℃)で一晩撹拌した。続いて、酢酸エチル40ml加えて、純水で分相した後、有機層を回収し、硫酸マグネシウムで水分を除去した。抽出物のIR分析により、原料である修飾ポリロタキサンA-1の1710cm-1のカルボキシル基由来のピークが減少し、1735cm-1のピーク強度が増加し、新たに1250cm-1、3500cm-1のピークが現れた。また、ニンヒドリン試薬により、抽出物が紫色に着色した。2-ブロモエチルアミン臭化水素酸塩由来のアミン塩を有する修飾ポリロタキサンA-4であることが分かり、これを修飾ポリロタキサンA-4とした。
得られた修飾ポリロタキサンA-4は、α-CDとアミン基との間にスペーサとしてのカプロラクトン重合部及びコハク酸エステル部を有した。該重合部が修飾ポリロタキサンY-2の水酸基に対して平均的に付与されたと仮定すると、該重合部は、繰り返し単位が平均で3.9個であった。
2個のオキシラン基を有する化合物B-1として、下記式で表されるビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル(Aldrich製)を用いた。
2個のオキシラン基を有する化合物B-2として、3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル3,4-エポキシシクロヘキサンカルボキシラート(Aldrich製)を用いた。
2個のオキシラン基を有する化合物B-3として、ポリ(プロピレングリコール)ジグリシジルエーテル(数平均分子量Mn=380、Aldrich製)を用いた。
修飾ポリロタキサンA-1の50wt%酢酸エチル溶液を準備し、該溶液2.0g(A-1固体分1.0g)、化合物B-1 9.0g、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)3.0gをサンプルびんに入れ、均一に溶解した。その後、三級アミンC2-1(2,4,6-トリス(ジメチルアミノメチル)フェノール)90mgを添加し、溶解させて、修飾ポリロタキサンA-1を含有する組成物D-1を得た。なお、表1には、修飾ポリロタキサンA-1、化合物B-1、三級アミンC2-1の量をそれぞれ、10重量部、90重量部、0.90重量部として、記載する。
<<測定サンプルS-1>>
上記で得た組成物D-1を、ポリエチレン(PE)シート上にキャストし、80℃、30分間、予備加熱した後、120℃、4時間、加熱処理した。なお、硬化フィルムの厚さが約160μmとなるように、キャスト量を調整した。得られた硬化膜を剥離し、測定サンプルS-1としての架橋体E-1を得た。
また、硬化フィルムの厚さが約400μmとなるようにキャスト量を調整した以外、上記と同様の方法により、測定サンプルS-2としての架橋体E-1を得た。
上記で得た組成物D-1をDMFで50wt%に薄めた溶液を準備し、該溶液をスピンコーターを用いてガラス基板上に塗布し、80℃、30分間、予備加熱した後、120℃、4時間加熱処理した。ガラス基板上に膜厚が約10μmの架橋体E-1を得た。架橋体E-1をガラス基板から剥離せずに、測定サンプルS-3として用いた。
架橋体E-1について、以下の物性について測定した。なお、物性により、測定サンプルS-1~S-3を使い分けた。
<<10%減少率温度(熱分析)>>
測定サンプルS-1を小さく切り、差動型示差熱天秤TG/DTA(リガクTG8120-1C)で熱分解挙動を測定し、質量が10%減少する際の温度を分解温度とした。
測定サンプルS-1を30mm×4mmのサイズに切り、引張り試験機(テクスチャーアナライザープラスXTPL/1、英弘精機製)によって、応力-歪曲線を測定し、応力-歪曲線の初期の直線部分の勾配により、ヤング率を算出した。測定時のサンプルの有効長さは10mmとし、引張り速度を100mm/minとした。なお、50%モジュラスとは歪50%における応力である。伸張率はJIS K6251に準じた定義である。
以下の2つの処理後における吸水率を求めた。
1)吸水率1:JIS K 6258に準じた水による浸漬試験(温度20℃、4週間放置)を施し、該処理の前後の測定サンプルS-1の重量変化率、即ち(放置後の質量-放置前の質量)/(放置前の質量)×100%、により、吸水率を求めた。
2)吸水率2:湿熱老化試験処理(温度85℃、湿度85%の環境下で78時間放置)を施し、該処理の前後の測定サンプルS-1の重量変化率、即ち(放置後の質量-放置前の質量)/(放置前の質量)×100%、により、吸水率を求めた。
測定サンプルS-1を室温で、24時間、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)に浸漬し、その後、乾燥した。浸漬前後の測定サンプルS-1の質量を測定し、その質量減少率、即ち(浸漬後の質量/浸漬前の質量)×100%をゲル分率とした。なお、ゲル分率は、組成物中の架橋の程度を示すパラメータであって、100%の場合、全ての組成物が反応したことを意味する。
JIS K 5600-5-1に準じた方法で、耐屈曲性を測定した。
円柱形マンドルφ25mm、φ18mm、φ15mm、φ13mm、φ7mm、φ5mm、φ4mmを使用し、測定サンプルS-2のキャスト面が外側の向くように、径の大きいマンドルから径の小さいマンドルの順で、180°曲げた際のクラックの発生の有無を確認した。クラックが発生する最小のマンドルの径を耐屈曲性の値とした。したがって、径が小さければ耐屈曲性に優れていることを示す。耐屈曲性測定用フィルムについて、以下の3つの処理を独立に行った後に測定した。
1)処理A:測定サンプルS-2の調製の際の硬化のみ;
2)処理B:処理Aの硬化に加えて、さらに、100℃、72時間の熱処理(JIS K 6257-1993に準じた熱老化試験);
3)処理C:処理Aの硬化に加えて、さらに、40℃、相対湿度93%、4週間の処理(JIS K 7227-1998に準じた湿熱老化試験)。
測定サンプルS-3と同じガラス基板を参照にして、ダイオードアレイ分光光度計(Agilent 8453)により、測定サンプルS-3の透過率を測定した。
実施例1と同様の方法により、表1に記載する組成により、実施例2~9の架橋体E-2~E-9を得た。また、測定サンプルとして、それぞれS-1~S-3を準備し、実施例1と同様に、物性を測定した。組成及び物性を表1に示す。
表1に記載する組成、即ち修飾ポリロタキサンを用いない組成により、比較例1及び比較例2の架橋体CE-1及びCE-2を得た。また、測定サンプルとして、それぞれS-1~S-3を準備し、実施例1と同様に、物性を測定した。組成及び物性を表1に示す。なお、酸無水物1とし、4-メチルシクロヘキサン-1,2-ジカルボン酸無水物(MHHPA)を用いた。
また、実施例1及び5の吸水率1及び2と比較例2のそれらとを比較すると、実施例1及び5の架橋体は、修飾ポリロタキサンA-1又はA-2由来のカルボキシル基を有し、比較例2の架橋体も、酸無水物由来のカルボキシル基を有するが、実施例1及び5の架橋体は、比較例2(酸無水物由来のカルボキシル基あり)の架橋体よりも、耐水性に優れていることが明らかである。これは、本発明の修飾ポリロタキサンが組み込まれたことで、より密で均一な架橋構造を形成するためと思われる。
このように、本実施例の架橋体、本発明の架橋体は、靭性、耐熱性、及び耐水性に優れているため、電子・電気部材、特に半導体の封止材に適した材料と考えられる。
実施例1と同様の方法により、表2に記載する組成により、実施例10~17の架橋体E-10~E-17を得た。また、測定サンプルとして、それぞれS-1を準備し、実施例1と同様に、物性を測定した。組成及び物性を表2に示す。なお、組成は、本発明の修飾ポリロタキサンの反応基の量を、エポキシ基の量(実施例10~15については化合物B-1~B-3のいずれの量、実施例17及び18については化合物B-1及びB-2の合計量)と、等量に配合したものである。
表2に記載する組成、即ち修飾ポリロタキサンを用いない組成により、比較例3~比較例5の架橋体CE-3~CE-5を得た。測定サンプルとして、それぞれS-1を準備し、実施例1と同様に、物性を測定した。組成及び物性を表2に示す。なお、比較例3~5の組成は、化合物B-1のエポキシ基の量と、ポリカルボン酸オリゴマー、アミンオリゴマー、又は酸無水物1の反応基の量を、等量に配合したものである。
ここで、ポリカルボン酸オリゴマーとして、三官能性ポリε-カプロラクトン(プラクセル308、ダイセル製)とコハク酸無水物の反応生成物(酸価2.61mmol/g)を用いた。また、アミンオリゴマーとして、ポリプロピレングリコールビス-2-アミノプロピルエーテル(数平均分子量2000、Aldrich製)を用いた。酸無水物1は上述と同じである。
Claims (11)
- A.環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなり、環状分子にオキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基と反応し得る官能基を有するポリロタキサンであって、該官能基がカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、フェノール基、オキシラン基、及びオキセタン基からなる群から選択される1種以上である、ポリロタキサン;及び
B.オキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基を2以上有する化合物;
を有する架橋用組成物。 - 前記官能基が、スペーサを介して前記環状分子に結合する請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記スペーサが、平均1.5~10個の繰返し単位を有する重合部を有する請求項2記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、C.架橋剤又は架橋開始剤をさらに有し、該C.架橋剤又は架橋開始剤が、
C1.フェノール樹脂、酸無水物、ポリカルボン酸化合物、及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;又は
C2.イミダゾール類、二級アミン類、及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;
である請求項1~3のいずれか1項記載の組成物。 - 請求項1~4のいずれか1項記載の架橋用組成物から形成される架橋体。
- 前記架橋体が、JIS K5600-5-1に準じた方法で前記架橋体を屈曲した際にクラックが発生する最小のマンドルの径が25mm以下である靭性を有する請求項5記載の架橋体。
- 請求項5又は6記載の架橋体を有する封止材。
- 請求項5又は6記載の架橋体を有する塗膜。
- a)環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなり、環状分子にオキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基と反応し得る官能基を有するポリロタキサンAであって、該官能基がカルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、フェノール基、オキシラン基、及びオキセタン基からなる群から選択される1種以上であるポリロタキサンAを準備する工程;
b)オキシラン基及び/又はオキセタン基を2以上有する化合物Bを準備する工程;及び
c)ポリロタキサンA及び化合物Bを混合し、加熱して、ポリロタキサンAと化合物Bとを架橋する工程;
を有することにより、架橋体を得る、架橋体の製造方法。 - 前記方法が、
d)C1.フェノール樹脂、酸無水物、ポリカルボン酸化合物、及び一級アミン化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;又は
C2.イミダゾール類、二級アミン類、及び三級アミン類からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種;である、架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを準備する工程;をさらに有し、
該架橋剤又は架橋開始剤Cを工程c)において、ポリロタキサンA及び化合物Bと共に混合し、加熱して、ポリロタキサンAと化合物Bとを架橋する請求項9記載の方法。 - 前記工程a)が、
a)-1)環状分子の開口部が直鎖状分子によって串刺し状に包接されてなる擬ポリロタキサンの両端に前記環状分子が脱離しないように封鎖基を配置してなるポリロタキサンを準備する工程;
a)-2)カルボン酸基、カルボン酸塩基、第1級アミノ基、第2級アミノ基、フェノール基、オキシラン基、及びオキセタン基からなる群から選択される1種以上である官能基源を有する第2の化合物を準備する工程;及び
a)-3)前記ポリロタキサンと前記第2の化合物とを反応させて、前記環状分子に前記官能基を有する前記ポリロタキサンAを得る工程;
を有する請求項9又は10記載の方法。
