Is read from a battery voltage / correction value map (not shown) representing the correlation (see step S106 in FIG. 2).
- a pulse voltage is applied at a predetermined repetition cycle as the energization control semiconductor element 5 is on / off controlled by the arithmetic control unit 52 via the drive circuit 53a as in the conventional case.
- PWM control energization control by so-called PWM control is performed.
- the pulse width of the pulse voltage is determined based on the duty ratio Dc calculated by the following formula 1 in the lambda sensor drive control process that is separately executed in the arithmetic control unit 52 as in the conventional case. It has come to be.
- the duty ratio Dc represents the ratio of the pulse width to the pulse repetition period T as a percentage.
- Vheff_tar is a target effective voltage representing the target voltage of the internal heater 1a as an effective value
- Vb is an actual value (actual battery voltage) of the battery voltage obtained in the process of step S104.
- the duty ratio Dc may be obtained by the following equation 2 instead of (Vbeff_tar) 2 ⁇ 100 in the above equation 1 instead of (Vb_nom) 2 ⁇ Dc_nom.
- Vb_nom is a nominal value of the battery voltage of the vehicle battery (not shown)
- Dc_nom is a characteristic that the internal heater 1a, the energization control semiconductor element 5, the drive circuit 53a, etc. have the characteristics as designed.
- the duty ratio is required when the internal heater 1a is preheated when the battery voltage Vb is a normal value, and is referred to as “heater reference drive ON duty ratio” for convenience. .
- the above-described duty ratio is a value that should be set in order to obtain the target effective voltage Vheff_tar on the assumption that the pulse voltage waveform is a rectangular wave.
- the rise and fall times should be essentially zero, the on / off delay of various semiconductor elements in the drive circuit 53a, and the electrical characteristics of these semiconductor elements. Under the influence of the characteristic, there is a certain rise and fall time, so-called rise and fall waveforms become dull, and the required duty ratio Dc becomes substantially small and cannot be secured.
- c (Vb) is a correction term, and means that the correction value c is expressed as a function of the battery voltage Vb.

- the duty ratio Dc for preheating energization is calculated (see step S108 in FIG. 2). That is, the duty ratio Dc corrected based on the previous equation 3 is calculated, the energization control semiconductor element 5 is driven at the duty ratio Dc, and the internal heater 1a is preheated.
- the preheating is ended, and the duty ratio Dc is returned to the normal value based on a separately defined arithmetic expression ( 2), the series of processes is completed, and the process returns to the main routine (not shown).
- the duty ratio Dc is corrected as described above, preheating control without causing preheating shortage is realized. Further, the correction of the duty ratio Dc is thus performed reliably, that is, with high accuracy without excess or deficiency.
- the correction term by making the correction term a function of the battery voltage, it is possible to avoid a situation in which the correction term is overcorrected and preheating becomes excessive compared to a case where the correction term is a simple constant. Thus, adverse effects on the lambda sensor life due to excessive preheating can be reliably reduced.
- step S202 and S204 are basically the same as the processes in steps S102 and S104 in the first embodiment shown in FIG. The detailed description of step 2 will be omitted, and the processing from step 206 will be described.
- step S206 the temperature in the electronic control unit 100 (hereinafter referred to as “ECU temperature”) is measured. That is, the detection signal of the temperature sensor 6 is read into the arithmetic control unit 52 and temporarily stored and held in an appropriate storage area.
- determination of the battery voltage / correction value map and reading of the correction value using the map are performed (see step S208 in FIG. 3). That is, in this embodiment, like the first embodiment described with reference to FIG. 2, the battery voltage / correction value map is the same, but the battery voltage in the first embodiment is the same.
- the correction value map is obtained when the temperature inside the electronic control unit 100 is at a standard temperature (for example, 24 ° C.).
- the correction value c for the battery voltage Vb changes more strictly depending on the ECU temperature, in particular, the temperature environment in which the energization control semiconductor element 5 is placed. Then, battery voltage / correction value maps at various ECU temperatures are created based on tests, simulation results, and the like, stored in advance in an appropriate storage area of the calculation control unit 52, and the ECU temperatures obtained in step S206 are obtained. A corresponding battery voltage / correction value map can be selected.
- FIG. 5 is an explanatory view schematically showing a plurality of battery voltage / correction value maps stored in the arithmetic control unit 52.
- mp (1) to mp (n) represent a plurality of battery voltage / correction value maps provided for each ECU temperature. That is, each map mp (1) to mp (n) has a different ECU temperature.
- mp (1) can read correction values c for various battery voltages Vb when the ECU temperature is t1.
- mp (2) is configured such that correction values c for various battery voltages Vb when the ECU temperature is t2 can be read.
- step S210 the duty ratio Dc for preheating energization is calculated (see step S210 in FIG. 3).
- the processing from step S210 to step S214 is basically the same as the processing contents of steps S108, S110, and S112 in FIG. 2, and therefore the re-explanation here is omitted.
- the battery voltage / correction value map corresponding to various ECU temperatures is provided, and the duty ratio Dc is calculated using the correction value suitable for the ECU temperature.
- a more appropriate correction of the duty ratio Dc is performed, and a more appropriate preheating of the internal heater 1a is performed. Therefore, even if correction is performed, a situation in which the preheating is excessive due to excessive correction can be avoided more reliably, and the adverse effect on the lambda sensor life due to excessive preheating can be further reliably reduced.
- a third embodiment will be described with reference to the subroutine flowchart shown in FIG.
- a plurality of energizations that can be used.
- For each control semiconductor element or a plurality of energization control semiconductor elements that can be used are grouped (for example, classified by manufacturing lot), and for each group, battery voltage / correction value maps for various ECU temperatures are provided. Based on the actual measurement data, it is created in advance, stored in the arithmetic control unit 52, and one of them is selected and used as will be described later. Further, in the third embodiment, it is premised that the temperature sensor 6 is provided in the electronic control unit 100 as in the second embodiment.
- step S302 which is a variable representing the elapsed time from the start of the vehicle engine (not shown), is initialized to zero (see step S302 in FIG. 4). Note that the processing in step S302 is basically the same as the processing in step S102 in FIG. 2, and thus detailed description thereof is omitted here.
- step S304 the shipment data of the energization control semiconductor element 5 is read (see step S304 in FIG. 4).
- a predetermined identification number or identification code (hereinafter described) is used to specify the energization control semiconductor element 5 in order to select the battery voltage / correction value map (details will be described later).
- shipment data (Referred to as “shipment data” for the sake of convenience) or predetermined shipment data for specifying to which group the energization control semiconductor element 5 belongs is stored and held in an appropriate storage area of the arithmetic control unit 52.
- step S304 the shipment data is read out.
- FIG. 6 schematically shows a configuration example of a battery voltage / correction value map stored in advance in the arithmetic control unit 52.
- mp (1) to mp (n) are battery voltage / correction value maps for various ECU temperatures, which is similar to the example described above with reference to FIG.
- g1 to gn are identification codes representing groups.
- battery voltage / correction value maps for various ECU temperatures are based on actual measurement data.
- g1 to gn are identification numbers for classifying the n energization control semiconductor elements, or identification codes themselves, or these identification numbers or identifications. It is a number or the like separately determined to correspond to a code. Therefore, the battery voltage / correction value maps in the respective groups g1 to gn are created based on the actual measurement data for the various ECU temperatures when the corresponding energization control semiconductor elements are used. It is a battery voltage / correction value map.
- the energization control semiconductor element is electrically connected. It is also preferable to divide into a plurality of groups g1 to gn using characteristics and the like as an index, and to provide a plurality of battery voltage / correction value maps for a plurality of energization control semiconductor elements for each group. That is, in this case, the battery voltage / correction value map in each group g1 to gn is that each correction value is defined as a standard value for a plurality of energization control semiconductor elements belonging to that group, as described below. It is preferable to do this. For example, created based on data measured when the internal heater 1a is energized using a current control semiconductor element having standard electrical characteristics among a plurality of current control semiconductor elements belonging to the group Is preferable.
- each of a plurality of energization control semiconductor elements included in the same group Obtain a battery voltage / correction value map based on the measured data, calculate the average value or the mean square value of the correction values obtained from each battery voltage / correction value map, and use the calculated result as the correction value.
- -It is also suitable as a correction value map.
- the grouping for example, when the energization control semiconductor elements that can be used are divided into a plurality of so-called production lots, it is also preferable to divide into each production lot.
- step S308 the processing from step S308 to step S318 is basically the same as the processing from step S204 to step S214 in FIG. 3, and therefore detailed description of each processing will be omitted here. To do.
- a fourth embodiment will be described.
- the temperature sensor 6 is provided in the electronic control unit 100 as in the third embodiment.
- a battery voltage / correction value map is created on the basis of actually measured data, or a plurality of energization control semiconductors that can be used.
- the elements are grouped by, for example, production lots, and for each group, a battery voltage / correction value map serving as a standard for each group is created based on the actual measurement data, and the calculation control unit 52 stores the data appropriately.
- a number for identifying the energization control semiconductor element is stored in the arithmetic control unit 52, and the vehicle When the battery is put into use, the battery voltage / correction value map corresponding to the identification number etc. is selected based on the stored identification number of the semiconductor element for energization control. And, in which as adapted to use the correction of the duty ratio.
- the battery voltage / correction value suitable when the specified energization control semiconductor element is used when the energization control semiconductor element used for each vehicle is specified, the battery voltage / correction value suitable when the specified energization control semiconductor element is used.
- a map is created based on the actually measured data, and is stored in an appropriate storage area of the arithmetic control unit 52 and used for correcting the duty ratio. Therefore, the processing procedure executed by the arithmetic control unit 52 is different from the third embodiment in that the battery voltage / correction value map used as described above is suitable for the power supply control semiconductor element specified in advance. Therefore, except for the point that selection of a group based on shipment data (see steps S304 and S306 in FIG. 4) is unnecessary, the processing procedure in the second embodiment shown in FIG.
- the battery voltage / correction value map used for setting the correction term value of the duty ratio Dc corresponds to the ECU temperature, or the battery voltage / correction value map is added.
- the battery voltage / correction value map used to set the correction value of the duty ratio correction term corresponds to the individual characteristics of the energization control semiconductor element, but may not correspond to the ECU temperature. Included within the scope of the invention.
