- the present invention relates to an oil pan of an internal combustion engine mounted on a vehicle.
- An oil pan of an internal combustion engine (hereinafter referred to as an engine) mounted on a vehicle is provided at the bottom of the engine and has a role of storing engine oil mainly used in the engine.
- the engine oil stored in the oil pan is pumped up by an oil pump operated by a part of engine power, supplied to a rotating part, a sliding part and the like, and these parts are lubricated to reduce frictional resistance.
- the engine oil that has lubricated the inside of the engine becomes oil droplets and travels along the wall to fall into the oil pan. Then, it is circulated in the engine by being pumped up again by the oil pump.
- the oil pan has a sufficient capacity to store the total amount of engine oil used in the engine.
- a vehicle body member or other device is provided at a position that does not interfere with the oil pan detachment operation so that the oil pan detachment operation can be performed from below the vehicle body, or from the vehicle body at the oil pan detachment operation It is configured to be removable.
- the oil pan may be provided with fins or partitions inside the oil pan, or an upper and lower split oil pan comprising an upper oil pan and a lower oil pan (see Patent Document 1).

- the wall opening 22 h may not be formed in the upper oil pan 20, and the lid 24 may not have a hat-shaped cross section.
- a flat lid member is provided at the opening of the upper surface of the extending portion 34 provided in the lower oil pan 30 (that is, the portion located in the extending portion 34 of the lower side opening 31 h) The part may be sealed.
- the lid member for sealing the extended portion 34 has a simple shape, the configuration of the oil pan 10 can be simplified.
- the position at which the lower oil pan 30 is attached is determined according to the position of the cross member 5 and is not limited to the above. Further, in the above embodiment, since the steering linkage 6 is provided in front of the cross member 5, the lower oil pan 30 is provided rearward of the overlap portion 11 including the overlap portion 11. However, in the case where the position of the steering linkage 6 is different from that described above, the lower oil pan 30 may be provided to be located forward of the overlap portion 11 including the overlap portion 11.
- the upper surface portion 52 of the cross member 5 be formed to be inclined upward as going from the front end 52a to the rear end 52b, and the cross of the lower side bottom 33 of the lower oil pan 30 It is preferable that a portion facing the member 5 be formed to be inclined upward as going from the front end side to the rear end side of the overlap portion 11.
- the upper surface of the cross member 5 and the bottom of the lower oil pan 30 may not be inclined.

Abstract
