Abstract
Description
これらのエピスルフィド化合物は、エピチオ部分の硫黄原子が酸素原子である含硫エポキシ化合物を製造したのち、チア化して得られる。含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法については、特許文献4、5に示される製法が提案されており、収率向上やチア化して得られるエピスルフィド化合物を硬化して得られる樹脂の透明性の改善がされている。また、特許文献6にも含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法について記載されている。
そこで、本発明は、スカム状の不溶物が発生しない含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法を提供することを課題とする。
1.含硫ハロヒドリン化合物を、有機溶媒と、塩基性化合物の水溶液の混合溶媒に滴下して反応させることを特徴とする、含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
2.前記含硫ハロヒドリン化合物が下記(1)式で表される化合物であり、前記含硫エポキシ化合物が下記(2)式で表される含硫エポキシ化合物である1.記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
3.前記有機溶媒が、トルエンおよびベンゼンから選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の化合物である1.記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
4.前記塩基性化合物が、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウムおよび水酸化カルシウムから選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の化合物である1.記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
5.反応温度が-5℃~30℃である1.記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
本発明で用いられる含硫ハロヒドリン化合物は、すべての含硫ハロヒドリン化合物を包括するが、具体例として鎖状脂肪族骨格、脂肪族環状骨格、芳香族骨格を有する化合物に分けて列挙する。
鎖状脂肪族骨格を有する化合物としては、下記(1)式で表される化合物が挙げられる。
芳香族骨格を有する化合物としては、下記(5)式で表される化合物が挙げられる。
含硫ハロヒドリン化合物は、エピクロロヒドリンと硫化水素またはポリチオール化合物を反応させて得られる。ポリチオール化合物は含硫エポキシ化合物を得ることができるすべての化合物を包含する。一部を例示すると、硫化水素、メタンジチオール、1,2-ジメルカプトエタン、1,3-ジメルカプトプロパン、1,4-ジメルカプトブタン、ビス(2-メルカプトエチル)スルフィド等からは(1)式で表される化合物が、1,3-シキロヘキサンジチオール、1,4-シキロヘキサンジチオール、1,3-ビス(メルカプトメチル)シキロヘキサン、1,4-ビス(メルカプトメチル)シキロヘキサン等からは(3)式で表される化合物が、2,5-ジメルカプト-1,4-ジチアン、2,6-ジメルカプト-1,4-ジチアン、2,5-ビス(メルカプトメチル)-1,4-ジチアン、2,6-ビス(メルカプトメチル)-1,4-ジチアン等からは(4)式で表される化合物が、1,3-ベンゼンジチオール、1,4-ベンゼンジチオール、1,3-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン、1,4-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン等からは(5)式で表される化合物が得られる。
エピクロロヒドリンと、硫化水素もしくはポリチオール化合物の割合は、反応が進行するのであれば特に制限はないが、好ましくはポリチオール化合物のチオール基(SH基)または硫化水素のHに対するエピクロロヒドリンのモル比は0.3~4、より好ましくは0.4~3、更に好ましくは0.5~2である。0.3未満もしくは4を超えた場合では未反応の原材料の余剰が多くなり、経済的に好ましくない。
反応温度は、反応を進行させるためであれば特に制限はないが、好ましくは-10℃~100℃、より好ましくは0℃~80℃、更に好ましくは0℃~60℃、最も好ましくは0℃~40℃である。反応時間は特に制限はないが、通常は10分以上20時間以下である。-10℃未満では反応が進行しないか遅くなりすぎで好ましくなく、100℃を超えるとオリゴマー化して高分子量となり好ましくない。
溶媒は使用してもしなくてもよいが、使用する場合は水、アルコール類、エーテル類、ケトン類、芳香族炭化水素類、またはハロゲン化炭化水素類が用いられる。具体例としては、水、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、イソプロパノール、ジエチルエーテル、テトラヒドロフラン、ジオキサン、メチルセルソルブ、エチルセルソルブ、ブチルセルソルブ、メチルエチルケトン、アセトン、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、ジクロロエタン、クロロホルム、クロロベンゼン等が挙げられる。中でも好ましくは水、メタノール、トルエンであり、最も好ましくは水、メタノールである。
ジスルフィド化で用いるハロゲン化合物の具体例は、塩素、臭素、ヨウ素であるが、好ましくは臭素、ヨウ素である。ハロゲン化合物は、SH基1モルに対し0.1~5モル使用する。好ましくは0.2~3モル、より好ましくは0.3~1モルである。0.1未満もしくは5モルを超えた場合では未反応の原材料の余剰が多くなり、経済的に好ましくない。
塩基性化合物の具体例は、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸水素カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化カルシウムである。好ましくは炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸水素カリウムである。
塩基性化合物は、SH基1モルに対し0.1~10モル使用する。好ましくは0.2~5モル、より好ましくは0.3~3モルである。0.1未満もしくは10モルを超えた場合では未反応の原材料の余剰が多くなり、経済的に好ましくない。
反応温度は、反応を進行させるためであれば特に制限はないが、好ましくは-10℃~80℃、より好ましくは0℃~50℃、更に好ましくは0℃~40℃である。反応時間は特に制限はないが、通常は20時間以下である。-10℃未満では反応が進行しないか遅くなりすぎで好ましくなく、80℃を超えるとオリゴマー化して高分子量となり好ましくない。
本発明で使用する有機溶媒は、特に制限は無くいかなる有機溶媒を使用しても良いが、好ましくはアルコール類、エーテル類、ケトン類、脂肪族炭化水素類、芳香族炭化水素類、ハロゲン化炭化水素類が用いられる。これらは単独でも混合して用いても構わない。アルコール類の具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、イソプロパノール、エーテル類の具体例としては、ジエチルエーテル、テトラヒドロフラン、ジオキサン、ケトン類の具体例としては、メチルセルソルブ、エチルセルソルブ、ブチルセルソルブ、メチルエチルケトン、アセトン、脂肪族炭化水素類の具体例としては、ヘキサン、ヘプタン、オクタン、芳香族炭化水素類の具体例としては、ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン、ハロゲン化炭化水素類の具体例としては、ジクロロエタン、クロロホルム、クロロベンゼンが挙げられる。より好ましくはアルコール類、脂肪族炭化水素類、芳香族炭化水素類であり、その具体例は、メタノール、プロパノール、イソプロパノール、ヘキサン、ヘプタン、ベンゼン、トルエンである。中でも好ましくはアルコール類、芳香族炭化水素類であり、その具体例は、メタノール、プロパノール、イソプロパノール、ベンゼン、トルエンである。さらに好ましくは芳香族炭化水素類であり、その具体例は、ベンゼン、トルエンである。最も好ましくはトルエンである。
有機溶媒の量は特に制限はないが、通常は含硫ハロヒドリン化合物100質量部に対し、5~1000質量部、好ましくは50~500質量部、より好ましくは100~300質量部である。
塩基性化合物は、含硫ハロヒドリン化合物1当量に対し、0.5~10当量使用する。好ましくは0.7~5当量、より好ましくは0.8~2当量である。0.5未満もしくは10を超えた場合では未反応の原材料の余剰が多くなり、経済的に好ましくない。
上記塩基性化合物は、水溶液にして使用する。水の量は塩基性化合物が溶解するのであれば特に制限はない。
得られた有機層は、水洗により塩基性化合物を除去する。その後、有機溶媒を留去することで含硫エポキシ化合物を得る。
鎖状脂肪族骨格を有する化合物としては、下記(2)式で表される化合物が挙げられる。
芳香族骨格を有する化合物としては、下記(8)式で表される化合物が挙げられる。
エピクロルヒドリン185g(2.0mol)、トルエン10ml、テトラ-n-ブチルアンモニウムブロマイド0.97gを入れ、攪拌しながら硫化水素35g(1.0mol)を液温20~25℃に保ちつつ吹き込んだ。その後トルエンで抽出し、溶媒を留去して、ビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィド(上記(1)式で表される化合物)210g(0.96mol、収率96%)を得た。
次いで、トルエン410gおよび32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去してビス(β-エポキシプロピル)スルフィド(上記(2)式で表される化合物)138g(総収率95%)を得た。
エピクロルヒドリン185g(2.0mol)、水30g、メタノール5g、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液1.5gを入れ、攪拌しながら硫化水素35g(1.0mol)を液温5~15℃に保ちつつ吹き込み、ビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィド210g(0.96mol、収率96%)を得た。
次いで、トルエン410gおよび32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去してビス(β-エポキシプロピル)スルフィド138g(総収率95%)を得た。

実施例1の手法でビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィド210g(0.96mol、収率96%)を得た。
次いで、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを入れた反応槽に、上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。有機溶媒が存在しない液に滴下したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
実施例1の手法でビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィド210g(0.96mol、収率96%)を得た。
上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドとトルエン410gを入れた反応槽に、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
実施例4の手法でビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドを得たのち、単離しないまま、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
実施例4の手法でビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)スルフィドを得たのち、単離しないままトルエン410gを追加し、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
エピクロロヒドリン190g(2.1mol)、メタノール500ml、水酸化カルシウム1.0gを入れ、攪拌しながら硫化水素75g(2.2mol)を液温0~5℃に保ちつつ吹き込み、クロロメルカプトプロパノールを得た。次いで水1000ml、炭酸水素ナトリウム168gを投入し、液温を5~10℃に保ちつつヨウ素254gを投入した。10℃で12時間反応後、ろ過、乾燥を行いビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)ジスルフィドを得た。
次いで、トルエン500gおよび47%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液240gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)ジスルフィドとメタノール250gの混合液を反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。トルエン100gを追加し抽出、水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去してビス(β-エポキシプロピル)ジスルフィド171gを得た。
実施例5の手法で、ビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)ジスルフィドを得た。
次いで、上記のビス(3-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシプロピル)ジスルフィドとメタノール250gを入れた反応槽に、トルエン500g、47%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液240gを別々に同時に反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。トルエン、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を別々に同時に滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
エピクロルヒドリン185g(2.0mol)、水30g、メタノール30g、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液1.5gを入れ、攪拌しながら1,3-ビス(メルカプトメチル)シクロヘキサン176g(1.0mol)を液温5~15℃に保ちつつ滴下し、1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)シクロヘキサン(上記(3)式で表される化合物)を得た。
次いで、トルエン410gおよび32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記の1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)シクロヘキサンを単離せずに反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去して1,3-ビス(β-エポキシプロピルチオメチル)シクロヘキサン(上記(6)式で表される化合物)277g(総収率96%)を得た。
エピクロルヒドリン185g(2.0mol)、水30g、メタノール30g、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液1.5gを入れ、攪拌しながら1,3-ビス(メルカプトメチル)ベンゼン170g(1.0mol)を液温5~15℃に保ちつつ滴下し、1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)ベンゼン(上記(5)式で表される化合物)を得た。
次いで、トルエン410gおよび32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記の1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)ベンゼンを単離せずに反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去して1,3-ビス(β-エポキシプロピルチオメチル)ベンゼン(上記(8)式で表される化合物)274g(総収率97%)を得た。
エピクロルヒドリン185g(2.0mol)、水30g、メタノール30g、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液1.5gを入れ、攪拌しながら2,5-ビス(メルカプトメチル)-1,4-ジチアン212g(1.0mol)を液温5~15℃に保ちつつ吹き込み、2,5-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)-1,4-ジチアン(上記(4)式で表される化合物)を得た。
次いで、トルエン410gおよび32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gからなる混合溶媒を入れた反応槽に、上記の2,5-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)-1,4-ジチアンを単離せずに反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。水層を除去し、有機層を水180gで3回洗浄後もスカム状の不溶物の発生は無かった。その後、溶媒を留去して2,5-ビス(β-エポキシプロピルチオメチル)-1,4-ジチアン(上記(7)式で表される化合物)305g(総収率94%)を得た。
実施例6の手法で1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)シクロヘキサンを得たのち、単離しないままトルエン410gを追加し、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
実施例7の手法で1,3-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)ベンゼンを得たのち、単離しないままトルエン410gを追加し、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
実施例8の手法で2,5-ビス(1-クロロ-2-ヒドロキシ-4-チアヘプチル)-1,4-ジチアンを得たのち、単離しないままトルエン410gを追加し、32%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液260gを反応槽液温を0~10℃に保ちながら滴下した。水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下して合成したため、終了後の時点でスカム状の不溶物が発生し、分離が困難となった。
Claims (5)
- 含硫ハロヒドリン化合物を、有機溶媒と、塩基性化合物の水溶液の混合溶媒に滴下して反応させることを特徴とする、含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が、トルエンおよびベンゼンから選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の化合物である請求項1記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
- 前記塩基性化合物が、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウムおよび水酸化カルシウムから選ばれる少なくとも1種以上の化合物である請求項1記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
- 反応温度が-5℃~30℃である請求項1記載の含硫エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
