- Plastic materials are lightweight and rich in toughness, and are easily used for dyeing. Therefore, plastic materials have recently been frequently used for various optical materials, particularly for spectacle lenses.
- Optical materials, in particular, performance required particularly for spectacle lenses are physical properties such as low specific gravity, high transparency and low yellowness, high heat resistance, and high strength.
- Abbe number The high refractive index enables the lens to be thinner, and the high Abbe number reduces the chromatic aberration of the lens, but as the refractive index increases, the Abbe number tends to decrease. I have.
- the most typical method among these studies is a method using a polyfunctional episulfide compound shown in Patent Documents 1 to 3.
- These polyfunctional episulfide compounds are obtained by producing a sulfur-containing epoxy compound in which the sulfur atom of the epithio moiety is an oxygen atom, and then thiazing.
- a method for producing a polyfunctional sulfur-containing epoxy compound production methods disclosed in Patent Documents 4 to 6 have been proposed, and the transparency of a resin obtained by curing a polyfunctional episulfide compound obtained by improving the yield or thiarising is proposed. And a production method that does not generate scum-like insoluble matter are disclosed.
