Definitions
- the present invention relates to an alkylene oxide-modified dipentaerythritol (meth) acrylate, and has a low viscosity, low crystallinity, high photosensitivity, and curing shrinkage compared to a conventional polyfunctional (meth) acrylate.
- the present invention relates to an alkylene oxide-modified dipentaerythritol (meth) acrylate and a reactive composition containing the same, which are small and have high hardness after curing.
- (meth) acrylic acid esters are one component of an important copolymerization monomer and are blended for various purposes and applications.
- polyfunctional monomers that are generally added as crosslinking components are often compounds that themselves have crystallinity at room temperature or lower temperatures, or are very viscous compounds, and are therefore often reactive. There exists a tendency which raises the viscosity of the whole composition and makes difficulty in handling property.
- a polyfunctional alcohol (meth) acrylate represented by a polymer such as pentaerythritol such as propane and diglycerin, trimethylolpropane and glycerin.
- polyfunctional (meth) acrylates especially dipentaerythritol (meth) acrylates and the like that are widely used in the above-mentioned reactive compositions, are very high in viscosity, so that the viscosity of the reactive composition is greatly increased. Therefore, dilution with an organic solvent is required, which is not preferable from the viewpoint of VOC regulation.
- polyfunctional (meth) acrylates have a problem that the coated film is curled (warped) due to curing shrinkage in applications such as film coating.
- (meth) acrylates of polyfunctional alcohols that have been used in the past have both the mechanical properties expected of a polyfunctional structure and undesirable properties such as high viscosity, high crystallinity, and high cure shrinkage. ing.
- polyfunctional alcohols modified with alkylene oxide such as ethylene oxide-modified acrylate of dipentaerythritol
- alkylene oxide such as ethylene oxide-modified acrylate of dipentaerythritol
- the introduction of a long-chain alkylene oxide having an addition mole number exceeding 5 mol / 1 hydroxyl group can achieve a reduction in viscosity and crystallinity, but is expected to be a polyfunctional structure due to a decrease in crosslink density.
- the original mechanical strength cannot be maintained.
- simply reducing the number of moles added cannot improve the above-mentioned drawbacks of conventional alkylene oxide unmodified polyfunctional (meth) acrylates.
- the present inventors optimize the alkylene oxide addition mole number of alkylene oxide modified dipentaerythritol (meth) acrylate, and control the content of alkylene oxide polymer (meth) acrylate by-produced in the alkylene oxide addition reaction. Has found that the above problem can be solved.
- Patent Document 1 mentions the amount of ethylene oxide derivative produced as a by-product in the ethylene oxide modified form of dipentaerythritol, but only the evaluation of the eluate and taste is made. With respect to the amount, 0.5% by mass or less is suitable, and the object and configuration are different from those of the present invention.
- Patent Document 2 refers to the number of moles of alkylene oxide added to dipentaerythritol and the physical properties, but only examples of propylene oxide derivatives are shown as examples, and the physical properties are only evaluated with respect to viscosity. And the viscosity is at a level that does not lead to the solution of the above problem.
