Abstract
Description
まず、図1を参照し、本発明の一実施形態による紙幣処理システムの概要を説明する。
[2-1.内部構造]
図3は、紙幣処理装置10の内部構造を示す図である。図3に示すように、紙幣処理装置10は、入金口1、出金口2、一時保留部3、紙幣認識部4、搬送部5、紙幣カセット6A~6E、および収納専用カセット9を有する。
図4は、本実施形態による紙幣処理装置10の機能構成を示すブロック図である。図4に示すように、紙幣処理装置10は、制御部11、記憶部12、表示部17、および操作部19を備える。以下、各構成について説明するが、表示部17および操作部19は図1を参照して上述したので、ここでの説明は省略する。
(入金取引)
入金取引について、図5および図6を参照して説明する。図5は、入金取引において、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が正常であった紙幣の搬送経路を示す図である。図6は、入金取引において、一時保留部3に集積された正常紙幣を金種に対応する各紙幣カセット6A~6Eに集積する集積処理における搬送経路を示す図である。
補充動作は、紙幣処理装置10に紙幣を補充する基本動作である。本実施形態による紙幣処理装置10では、具体的な補充方法として、投入口補充、カセット交換補充、およびカセット計数補充が可能である。以下、各補充方法について順次説明する。
投入口補充は、上述した入金取引および集積処理における動作と同様である。例えば、入金口1(投入口)から集積された紙幣が1枚ずつ分離され、分離された紙幣は紙幣認識部4に搬送される。そして、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が正常であった紙幣は、一時保留部3に退避された後、金種に対応する紙幣カセット6A~6Eに集積される。一方、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が異常であった紙幣は、出金口2に集積される。
カセット交換補充においては、紙幣カセット6A~6Eが着脱可能であることを利用し、予め紙幣を装填した紙幣カセットを、紙幣カセット6A~6Eのいずれかと交換することで、紙幣を補充する。なお、カセット交換補充では、補充した紙幣の金種と枚数をオペレータがマニュアルで登録する必要がある。
カセット計数補充においては、紙幣カセット6Eに予め紙幣を装填し、紙幣処理装置10にセットする。そして、紙幣カセット6Eから1枚ずつ紙幣が繰り出され、繰り出された紙幣は紙幣認識部4に搬送される。そして、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が正常であった紙幣は、金種に対応する紙幣カセット6A~6Dに集積される。一方、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が異常であった紙幣は、収納専用カセット9に集積される。このように、カセット計数補充では、紙幣認識部4により計数処理が実行されるので、補充した紙幣の金種および枚数をオペレータがマニュアルで登録する必要はない。
回収動作は、紙幣処理装置10内の紙幣を回収する基本動作である。本実施形態による紙幣処理装置10では、具体的な回収方法として、出金口回収、カセット交換回収、およびカセット計数回収が可能である。出金口回収については、[3-3.第3の実施形態]において詳細に説明する。ここでは、カセット交換回収、およびカセット計数回収について順次説明する。
カセット交換回収においては、紙幣カセット6A~6Eが着脱可能であることを利用し、紙幣が集積された所定の紙幣カセット6を、紙幣処理装置10から取り外すことで、回収業務を行う。なお、カセット交換回収では、オペレータが、取り外した紙幣カセット6から紙幣を抜き取り、回収した紙幣の金種と枚数をマニュアルで数える必要がある。
カセット計数補充においては、まず、紙幣カセット6A~6Dのうち回収対象の紙幣カセットから1枚ずつ紙幣が繰り出され、繰り出された紙幣は紙幣認識部4に搬送される。そして、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が正常であった紙幣は、紙幣カセット6Eに集積される。一方、紙幣認識部4による鑑別結果が異常であった紙幣は、収納専用カセット9に集積される。
ここで、入金取引における動作は、入金紙幣を一時保留部3へ退避させた後に、一時保留部3から紙幣カセット6A~6Eに集積する上述した通常の入金処理の他、入金紙幣を一時保留部3へ退避させないで直接紙幣カセット6A~6Eに集積するダイレクト入金処理も可能である。以下、ダイレクト入金処理について図7を参照して説明する。図7は、ダイレクト入金処理において、入金口1から1枚ずつ繰り出された紙幣が紙幣カセット6A~6Eに集積されるまでの搬送経路を示す図である。
次に、本実施形態によるリジェクトルートの確保について複数の実施形態を挙げて説明する。本実施形態では、紙幣カセット6A~6Eから出金または出金口回収する際のリジェクトルートを確保することで、図2に示す紙幣処理装置100の構造に比べて、出金取引または出金口回収動作に利用可能な紙幣カセットを増やすことができる。
第1の実施形態では、出金取引におけるリジェクトルートの確保について図8~図11を参照して説明する。図8は、第1の実施形態による出金取引における紙幣の搬送制御を示すフローチャートである。図9は、第1の実施形態による出金取引における紙幣の搬送制御において、正常紙幣の搬送経路を示す図である。図10および図11は、第1の実施形態による出金取引における紙幣の搬送制御において、リジェクト紙幣の搬送経路を示す図である。
上記第1の実施形態では、出金取引が完了した後、リジェクト紙幣を一時保留部3から収納専用カセット9へ搬送する処理(図8のステップS124)が必要となる。これに対し、第2の実施形態では、リジェクト紙幣を一時保留部3に退避させず、直接、収納専用カセット9に集積するよう搬送を制御する。
上記第1、および第2の実施形態では、出金取引におけるリジェクトルートの確保について説明したが、本実施形態はこれに限定されず、例えば出金口回収動作においてもリジェクトルートを確保することができる。出金口回収は、上述した回収動作の一例である。
以上説明したように、本発明の一実施形態によれば、紙幣カセット6A~6Eから紙幣認識部4に紙幣を搬送する経路と重複しないリジェクトルートを確保することが可能である。これにより、紙幣カセット6A~6Eから出金取引/出金口回収を行うことができる。また、図2に示す紙幣処理装置100に比べて出金取引/出金口回収に利用できる紙幣カセットが増えるので、取り扱う金種を1種類増やすことも可能である。

- 紙幣が排出される排出口と、
紙幣が正常であるか否かを認識する紙幣認識部と、
前記紙幣認識部により異常と認識された紙幣が収納される収納専用収納部と、
を備え、
紙幣の収納および繰り出しが可能な1または2以上の紙幣収納部が、前記紙幣認識部と前記収納専用収納部の間の前記排出口側の第1の経路、および前記第1の経路と逆側の第2の経路のうち、前記第2の経路側にのみ設けられる、紙幣処理装置。 - 前記紙幣処理装置は、
出金取引において、前記紙幣収納部から繰り出された紙幣を、前記第2の経路を介して前記紙幣認識部に送るよう搬送を制御する制御部を備える、請求項1に記載の紙幣処理装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記紙幣認識部によりリジェクトされた前記紙幣を、前記第1の経路を介して前記収納専用収納部に送るよう搬送を制御する、請求項2に記載の紙幣処理装置。
- 前記紙幣処理装置は、
前記第1の経路上に設けられ、前記紙幣を一時的に収納する一時保留部を備え、
前記制御部は、前記紙幣認識部によりリジェクトされた前記紙幣を、前記第1の経路を介して前記一時保留部に送り、前記出金取引が終了した後、前記一時保留部に収納した前記紙幣を、前記第1の経路を介して前記収納専用収納部に送るよう搬送を制御する、請求項2に記載の紙幣処理装置。 - 前記紙幣処理装置は、
排出口回収において、前記紙幣収納部から繰り出された紙幣を前記第2の経路を介して前記紙幣認識部に送るよう搬送を制御する制御部を備える、請求項1に記載の紙幣処理装置。 - 前記紙幣処理装置は、
前記第1の経路上に設けられ、前記紙幣を一時的に収納する一時保留部を備え、
前記制御部は、前記紙幣認識部によりリジェクトされた前記紙幣を、前記第1の経路を介して前記一時保留部に送り、前記紙幣収納部から全紙幣が繰り出された後、前記一時保留部に収納した前記紙幣を、前記排出口に送るよう搬送を制御する、請求項5に記載の紙幣処理装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記紙幣認識部により正常と認識された紙幣を、前記排出口に送るよう搬送を制御する、請求項2から6のいずれか1項に記載の紙幣処理装置。
