Abstract
Description
しかしながら、ペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(メルカプトアセテート)はポリイソシアナート化合物に対する反応性が非常に高いため、これらを混合してなる前記組成物は時間の経過とともに粘度が著しく上昇し、鋳型に注入することが困難となる等、作業性の低下が生じるという問題がある。
しかしながら、該アルキル錫ハライド化合物は重合触媒として作用するものであることから、多くのポリイソシアナート化合物は、あらかじめアルキル錫ハライド化合物を添加すると、大気中もしくは環境中の水分と反応してポリイソシアナート化合物が変性する場合がある。
すなわち本発明は、(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物、(B)ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物を含有するポリチオール化合物、(C)重合触媒、及び、該(A)及び(B)の合計量100質量部に対し0.001~0.5質量部の(D)下記一般式(1)で表される酸性リン酸エステル化合物を含む組成物を重合させてなるポリウレタンレンズの製造方法において、該(A)と(D)とを混合し、その後に該(B)及び(C)を添加して該組成物を調製する工程を有することを特徴とする、ポリウレタンレンズの製造方法である。
本発明は、(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物、(B)ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物を含有するポリチオール化合物、(C)重合触媒、及び、該(A)及び(B)の合計量100質量部に対し0.001~0.5質量部の(D)前記一般式(1)で表される酸性リン酸エステル化合物を含む組成物を重合させてなるポリウレタンレンズの製造方法において、該(A)と(D)とを混合し、その後に該(B)及び(C)を添加して該組成物を調製する工程を有する、ポリウレタンレンズの製造方法である。
すなわち、最初に前記(A)と(D)とを混合し、その後に前記(B)及び(C)を添加するという手順で組成物を調製することで、該組成物の経時的な粘度上昇を抑制することができる。
また、前記(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物にあらかじめ(C)重合触媒を添加すると、該(A)が水分によって変性する場合があるが、本発明ではこのような不具合を避けることができる。
本発明に用いられる(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物は、分子内に2個以上のイソシアナート基を有する化合物であれば、特に制限なく用いることができる。例えば、芳香環を有するポリイソシアナート化合物、脂肪族ポリイソシアナート化合物、及び脂環構造を有するポリイソシアナート化合物等が挙げられる。
芳香環を有するポリイソシアナート化合物としては、例えば、1,4-フェニレンジイソシアナート、メチル-1,3-フェニレンジイソシアナート、1,3-ビス(イソシアナートメチル)ベンゼン、メシチレントリイソシアナート、1,3-ビス(2-イソシアナートプロピル)ベンゼン、4,4’-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアナート、2,4’-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアナート、1,5-ジイソシアナートナフタレン、(3,3’-ジメチル-4,4’-ビフェニリレン)ジイソシアナート等が挙げられる。
上記のうち、本発明の効果が特に顕著なポリイソシアナート化合物は、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアナート、イソホロンジイソシアナート、ビス(イソシアナートメチル)シクロヘキサン、ジシクロヘキシルメタンジイソシアナート、ビス(イソシアナートメチル)ビシクロヘプタン、メチル-1,3-フェニレンジイソシアナート、1,3-ビス(イソシアナートメチル)ベンゼン、4,4’-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアナートであり、これらから選ばれる少なくとも1種を用いることが好ましい。
本発明に用いられる(B)ポリチオール化合物は、ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物を必須成分として含有する。ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物は前記(A)との反応性が高いため、最初に(A)成分と(B)成分とを混合すると著しい粘度上昇が発生する。したがって、本発明の効果が特に顕著である。
上記(B)は、ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物のみで構成されていてもよく、ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物以外のポリチオール化合物を含有していてもよい。上記(B)中の、ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物の含有量は、好ましくは30~100質量%、より好ましくは50~100質量%である。
これらのポリチオール化合物は単独で用いてもよく、2種類以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
NCO基の残存率が低い場合には、得られるポリウレタンレンズの耐候性が良好であり、茶褐色に着色するなどの問題を生じない。またSH基の残存率が低い場合には、十分な耐熱性(Tg)が得られる。上記NCO基/SH基のモル比が1.0に近いほど、前記(A)と(B)との重合反応において未反応のNCO基及びSH基の残存率が低くなり、未反応基の少ないことから耐候性及び耐熱性に優れるポリウレタンレンズが得られる。
本発明に用いられる(C)重合触媒としては、有機錫化合物が好ましく、重合速度の観点から、下記一般式(2)で表されるアルキル錫ハライド化合物又は下記一般式(3)で表されるアルキル錫化合物であることがより好ましい。

上記のうち、前記(A)として脂肪族ポリイソシアナートを用いる場合においては、反応速度の観点から、ジブチル錫ジクロライド、ジメチル錫ジクロライドを用いることが好ましく、前記(A)として芳香族ポリイソシアナートを用いる場合においては、ジブチル錫ジアセテ-ト、ジブチル錫ジラウレ-トを用いることが好ましい。しかしながら、使用するポリイソシアナート化合物とポリチオール化合物の反応性により、一様に定められたものではなく、光学用レンズとしての透明性を損なわず、脈理を発生させないようにするために、これらに掲げた重合触媒のいずれかを単独で用いてもよく、2種類以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
(C)重合触媒の添加量は、前記(A)及び(B)の重合速度の観点から、前記(A)及び(B)の合計量100質量部に対し、0.001~1質量部であることが好ましい。
本発明に用いられる(D)酸性リン酸エステル化合物は、下記一般式(1)で表される化合物である。
前記(B)ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物を含むポリチオール化合物は、前記(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物との反応が特に速いが、初めに前記(A)と(D)とを混合し、その後に前記(B)及び(C)を添加することで、得られる組成物の経時的な粘度上昇を抑制し、ポリウレタンレンズの製造における作業性を向上させることができる。
組成物への溶解性の観点から、前記(D)として、ブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物、ブトキシエトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(ブトキシエトキシエチル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物、及び、イソトリデシルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(イソトリデシル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種を用いることが好ましい。
本発明におけるポリウレタンレンズの製造において、前記(A)~(D)以外に、必要に応じて、紫外線吸収剤、酸化防止剤、離型剤、架橋剤、光安定剤、着色防止剤、染料、粘度調整剤、重合調整剤等を用いてもよい。
紫外線吸収剤の添加量は、前記(A)及び(B)成分の合計量100質量部に対し、0.01~5質量部であることが好ましく、より好ましくは0.05~3質量部、更に好ましくは0.05~1質量部である。添加量が0.01質量部以上であれば十分な紫外線吸収効果が得られ、5質量部以下であれば、得られるポリウレタンレンズが著しく着色することがなく、ブルーイング剤等を用いることにより外観を改善することができる。
組成物の重合は公知の方法で行えばよいが、ポリウレタンレンズの作製という観点から、注型重合を用いることが好ましい。注型重合は、例えば、前記(A)~(D)、及び、必要に応じて添加されるその他の成分を混合して組成物を調製し、ガラス又は金属製のモールドと樹脂製のガスケットとを組み合わせたモールド型に注入し、加熱して重合を行う。重合条件は、前記(A)及び(B)の種類によって異なるが、例えば、重合温度は0~150℃、重合時間は0.5~72時間である。
以下、実施例により本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に限定されるものではない。
なお、実施例及び比較例で得られたポリウレタンレンズ用組成物の粘度は、粘度計(セコニック社製、型番:コスモメイトVM-10A)を用いて測定した。
また、実施例及び比較例で得られたポリウレタンレンズ用組成物及びポリウレタンレンズの外観評価は、目視観察により行った。表1において、ポリウレタンレンズ用組成物に濁りが見られないものを「A」、濁りが見られるものを「B」と表記した。また、得られたポリウレタンレンズが無色透明であるものを「A」と表記した。
ポリイソシアナート化合物であるビス(イソシアナートメチル)シクロヘキサン48.5質量部、酸性リン酸エステル化合物であるブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-506H)0.185質量部、及び紫外線吸収剤である2-(2-ヒドロキシ-4-オクチルオキシフェニル)ベンゾトリアゾール1.025質量部を混合した。この混合物に、重合触媒であるジメチル錫ジクロライド0.461質量部、及びポリチオール化合物であるペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(メルカプトアセテート)54.0質量部を加えて混合し、ポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を得た。得られた組成物の外観を目視観察したところ、透明な均一溶液であった。
得られた組成物を、5分間の脱泡を行った後に25℃の保温炉に静置し、1分後、5分後、10分後、及び1時間後に粘度測定を行った。粘度は、静置1分後が37mPa・s、5分後が37mPa・s、10分後が39mPa・s、1時間後が84mPa・sであり、十分なポットライフを得ることができた。
その後、調製した組成物を注型用モールドとガスケットからなる型に注入し、20℃から120℃まで徐々に昇温しながら20時間かけて加熱重合させ、ポリウレタンレンズを製造した。重合後、徐々に冷却した後、重合物をモールドとガスケットからなる型から取り出して外観を目視観察したところ無色透明であり、良好なポリウレタンレンズが得られた。評価結果を表1に示す。
酸性リン酸エステル化合物を、イソトリデシルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(イソトリデシル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-513)0.051質量部に変更したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を調製し、該組成物の粘度測定及びポリウレタンレンズの製造を行った。評価結果を表1に示す。
酸性リン酸エステル化合物であるブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-506H)の配合量を0.103質量部としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を調製し、該組成物の粘度測定及びポリウレタンレンズの製造を行った。評価結果を表1に示す。
ポリイソシアナート化合物であるビス(イソシアナートメチル)シクロヘキサンを48.5質量部、酸性リン酸エステル化合物であるブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-506H)0.204質量部、及び紫外線吸収剤である2-(2-ヒドロキシ-4-オクチルオキシフェニル)ベンゾトリアゾール1.020質量部を混合した。この混合物に、重合触媒であるジメチル錫ジクロライド0.460質量部、ポリチオール化合物であるペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(メルカプトアセテート)27.0質量部及び2,5-ビス(メルカプトメチル)-1,4-ジチアン26.5質量部を加えて混合し、ポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を得た。
実施例1と同様の方法で、上記組成物の粘度測定及びポリウレタンレンズの製造を行った。評価結果を表1に示す。
ポリイソシアナート化合物であるヘキサメチレンジイソシアナート42.0質量部、酸性リン酸エステル化合物であるブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-506H)0.020質量部と、イソトリデシルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(イソトリデシル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物(城北化学工業株式会社製、商品名:JP-513)0.048質量部、紫外線吸収剤である2-(2-ヒドロキシ-4-オクチルオキシフェニル)ベンゾトリアゾール0.48質量部を混合した。この混合物に、重合触媒であるジメチル錫ジクロライド0.100質量部、ポリチオール化合物であるペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(メルカプトアセテート)54.0質量部を加えて混合し、ポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を得た。
実施例1と同様の方法で、上記組成物の粘度測定及びポリウレタンレンズの製造を行った。評価結果を表1に示す。

実施例1と同様の方法で、上記組成物の粘度測定及びポリウレタンレンズの製造を行った。評価結果を表1に示す。

ポリイソシアナート化合物としてイソホロンジイソシアナートを用いたこと以外は、比較例1と同様の方法でポリウレタンレンズ用組成物を調製した。評価結果を表1に示す。調製した組成物は、静置1分後に発熱、5分後にゲル化し、十分なポットライフを得ることができなかった。

- (A)ポリイソシアナート化合物、(B)ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物を含有するポリチオール化合物、(C)重合触媒、及び、該(A)及び(B)の合計量100質量部に対し0.001~0.5質量部の(D)下記一般式(1)で表される酸性リン酸エステル化合物を含む組成物を重合させてなるポリウレタンレンズの製造方法において、該(A)と(D)とを混合し、その後に該(B)及び(C)を添加して該組成物を調製する工程を有する、ポリウレタンレンズの製造方法。
- 前記(A)ポリイソシアナート化合物が、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアナート、イソホロンジイソシアナート、ビス(イソシアナートメチル)シクロヘキサン、ジシクロヘキシルメタンジイソシアナート、ビス(イソシアナートメチル)ビシクロヘプタン、メチル-1,3-フェニレンジイソシアナート、1,3-ビス(イソシアナートメチル)ベンゼン、及び4,4’-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアナートから選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載のポリウレタンレンズの製造方法。
- 前記ポリオール化合物とチオグリコール酸とのエステル化反応で得られるポリチオール化合物が、エチレングリコールジ(メルカプトアセテート)、ジエチレングリコールビス(メルカプトアセテート)、プロパントリオールトリス(メルカプトアセテート)、プロパンジオールビス(メルカプトアセテート)、ブタンジオールジ(メルカプトアセテート)、トリメチロールプロパントリス(メルカプトアセテート)、エチレンビス(2-ヒドロキシエチルスルフィド)ビス(メルカプトアセテート)、トリメチロールプロパントリス(メルカプトアセテート)、ペンタエリスリトールテトラキス(メルカプトアセテート)、及びジペンタエリスリトールヘキサ(メルカプトアセテート)から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1又は2に記載のポリウレタンレンズの製造方法。
- 前記(C)重合触媒が、下記一般式(2)又は(3)で表される有機錫化合物である、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のポリウレタンレンズの製造方法。

(一般式(2)において、R2は炭素数1~4のアルキル基を示し、Xはフッ素原子、塩素原子又は臭素原子を示し、cは1~3の整数を示す。)
(R3)2-Sn-{O-C(=O)-R4}2 (3)
(一般式(3)において、R3は炭素数1~4のアルキル基を示し、R4は炭素数1~11のアルキル基を示す。) - 前記(D)一般式(1)で表される酸性リン酸エステル化合物が、ブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジブトキシエチルアシッドホスフェートの混合物、ブトキシエトキシエチルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(ブトキシエトキシエチル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物、及び、イソトリデシルアシッドホスフェート及びジ(イソトリデシル)アシッドホスフェートの混合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のポリウレタンレンズの製造方法。
