Abstract

본 발명은 내구성이 우수한 산질화물로 이루어지고 청색 발광 다이오드나 자외선 발광 다이오드를 여기원으로 할 때 녹색에서부터 황색에 이르는 범위까지 다양한 색상의 발광이 가능한 새로운 형광체에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 형광체는, 일반식: (Ca1-x M1x)a(La1-y M2y)bSicNdOe (0.5≤b/a≤7, 1.5≤c/(a+b)≤3.5, 1≤d/c≤1.8, 0.6≤e/(a+b)≤2, 0≤x≤0.5, 0≤y≤0.5)로 표시되며, 단사정계(monoclinic) 결정구조를 갖는 모체와, 상기 모체에 부활제로 Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Tb, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 고용시킨 형광체로서, 상기 M1은 Ba, Mg, Sr, Mn, Zn 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소이고, 상기 M2는 Y, Lu, Sc, Gd, Tb, Ce, Nd, Sm, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Al, Ga, Ge, Sn, In 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 원소인 것을 특징으로 한다.
