Abstract

본 발명은 하기 화학식 1로부터 선택되는 층상 결정구조를 가진 하나 또는 그 이상의 화합물로 이루어져 있고, 전이금속층에 전이금속 사이트의 총량을 기준으로 20% 미만으로 Li을 포함하며, 리튬층에 Ni이 위치한 양이온 혼합(cation mixing) 비율이 리튬층에서 리튬 사이트의 총량을 기준으로 1% 내지 4.5%로서 층상 결정구조를 안정적으로 지지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지용 양극 활물질을 제공하고, 이러한 양극 활물질은 대전류로 충전과 방전을 반복하여도 상온 및 고온에서 긴 수명을 가지며 우수한 안정성을 제공한다.
