多層フィルムを該フィルム面と直角の方向にミクロトームで丁寧に切断し、さらにメスを用いて回収物層を取り出した。露出した断面に減圧雰囲気下で白金を蒸着した。白金が蒸着された断面を、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)を用いて10000倍に写真撮影し、この写真中のEVOH(B)の粒子20個程度を含む領域を選択し、該領域中に存在する各々の粒子像の粒径を測定し、その平均値を算出して、これを分散粒子径とした。なお、各々の粒子の粒径については、写真中に観察される粒子の長径(最も長い部分)を測定し、これを粒径とした。上記フィルムの切断は押出方向に垂直に行い、切断面に対して、垂直方向からの写真撮影を行った。
多層フィルムをASTM E313の方法に従って分光色差計(日本電子工業株式会社製、Spectro Color Meter SE2000)を用いて測定した。白色度は顔料(E)が酸化チタンの場合のみに適用した。白色度が高いということは、顔料が樹脂組成物中で良好に分散していることを示している。
熱成形容器をランダムに5個用意し、各容器の側面を蛍光灯に透かし、以下の様相となっていることを目視で確認した。
A:すべての容器で陰影が全く見当たらない。
B:目を凝らすと陰影が数箇所見つけられる。
C:陰影が見つけられる。
顔料(E)としてE-1(酸化チタン)100部に対して、アルミン酸ナトリウム水溶液をアルミナ換算で4.0部になるように添加し、30分間撹拌した。これに20%硫酸を徐々に加えpH=7.0に調整し、さらに2時間熟成した。熟成後、上記の含水アルミナで表面が被覆された酸化チタンのスラリーを濾過し、流水で洗浄後乾燥した。得られた酸化チタンをスチームミルで粉砕し、アルミナにより表面が被覆された平均粒径0.2μmの酸化チタン(E-2)を得た。E-2に含まれる塩素量は35ppmであった。
オクチルトリエトキシシランを純水で2倍希釈し10分間攪拌して加水分解させた加水分解生成物溶液を作成した。上記E-2をスチームミルで粉砕する際に、オクチルトリエトキシシラン加水分解生成物溶液を添加し、該酸化チタン表面上に、酸化チタン顔料重量に対し0.3%の被覆量になるように被覆処理をしてアルミナ及びアルキルシラン化合物により表面が被覆された酸化チタン(E-3)を得た。E-3に含まれる塩素量は34ppmであった。
顔料(E)としてE-1(酸化チタン)100部に対して、アルミン酸ナトリウム水溶液をアルミナ換算で3.2部、ケイ酸ナトリウム水溶液をシリカ換算で2.1部になるように添加し、30分間撹拌した。これに20%硫酸を徐々に加えpH=7.0に調整し、さらに2時間熟成した。熟成後、含水状態のアルミナとシリカの混合物で表面が被覆された酸化チタンのスラリーを濾過し、流水で洗浄後乾燥し、アルミナとシリカの混合物で表面が被覆された酸化チタンを得た。得られた酸化チタンをスチームミルで粉砕し、アルミナとシリカの混合物により表面が被覆された平均粒径0.24μmの酸化チタン(E-4)を得た。E-4に含まれる塩素量は20ppmであった。
顔料(E)としてE-1(酸化チタン)100部に対して、アルミン酸ナトリウム水溶液をアルミナ換算で3.2部、ケイ酸ナトリウム水溶液をシリカ換算で2.1部になるように添加し、30分間撹拌した。これに20%硫酸を徐々に加えpH=7.0に調整し、さらに2時間熟成した。熟成後、含水状態のアルミナとシリカの混合物で表面が被覆された酸化チタンのスラリーを濾過し、流水で洗浄後乾燥し、アルミナとシリカの混合物で表面が被覆された酸化チタンを得た。次いで、酸化チタンをヘンシェルミキサー中で撹拌しながら、トリメチロールエタン(ポリオール)を0.2部添加して10分間攪拌し、更にスチームミルで粉砕し、アルミナとシリカの混合物及びポリオールで表面が被覆された平均粒径0.24μmの二酸化チタン(E-5)を得た。E-5に含まれる塩素量は20ppmであった。
S-EVOH(C)としてC-1、EVAc(D)としてD-1、脂肪酸金属塩(F)としてF-1、ハイドロタルサイト(G)としてG-1、酸化防止剤を用い、C-1/D-1/F-1/G-1/酸化防止剤=25/67.5/5/2.5/0.2の質量比になるようにドライブレンドで配合した。得られた混合物を30mmφの同方向二軸押出機(日本製鋼所製、TEX-30N)を用いて200℃の押出温度で溶融混練した後ペレット化し、マスターバッチ(MB1)を得た。
S-EVOH(C)としてC-1、EVAc(D)としてD-1、脂肪酸金属塩(F)としてF-1、ハイドロタルサイト(G)としてG-1、酸化防止剤を用い、C-1/D-1/F-1/G-1/酸化防止剤=10/82.5/5/2.5/0.2の質量比になるようにドライブレンドで配合した以外はMB1と同様に実施し、マスターバッチ(MB2)を得た。
S-EVOH(C)としてC-1、EVAc(D)としてD-1、脂肪酸金属塩(F)としてF-1、ハイドロタルサイト(G)としてG-1、酸化防止剤を用い、C-1/D-1/F-1/G-1/酸化防止剤=25/71.5/1/2.5/0.2の質量比になるようにドライブレンドで配合した以外はMB1と同様に実施し、マスターバッチ(MB3)を得た。
S-EVOH(C)としてC-1、EVAc(D)としてD-1、脂肪酸金属塩(F)としてF-1、ハイドロタルサイト(G)としてG-1、酸化防止剤を用い、C-1/D-1/F-1/G-1/酸化防止剤=25/52.5/20/2.5/0.2の質量比になるようにドライブレンドで配合した以外はMB1と同様に実施し、マスターバッチ(MB4)を得た。

EVAc(D)の代わりにポリオレフィン(A-2)を使用した以外は、MB1と同様に実施し、マスターバッチ(MB8)を得た。

[回収物の製造]
最外層にポリオレフィン(A)としてA-1、最内層にEVOH(B)としてB-1、接着性樹脂層に「モディックAP P604V」を用い、フィードブロックダイにてポリオレフィン層/接着性樹脂層/EVOH層/接着性樹脂層/ポリオレフィン層=200μ/20μ/20μ/20μ/200μの3種5層共押出を行い、多層フィルムを作成した。フィードブロックへのそれぞれの樹脂の供給は、ポリオレフィン層は32mmφ押出機、接着性樹脂層は25mmφ押出機、EVOH層は20mmφ押出機をそれぞれ使用し、また押出の温度は各樹脂とも220℃、ダイス部、フィードブロック部も220℃で行った。
最外層に、回収物、マスターバッチ(MB1)および顔料(E-1)を、回収物/マスターバッチ(MB1)/顔料(E-1)=100/3/0.3の質量比でドライブレンドした混合物を用い、最内層に、EVOH(B-1)、接着性樹脂層に「モディックAP P604V」を用い、フィードブロックダイにて混合物層/接着性樹脂層/EVOH層/接着性樹脂層/混合物層=200μ/20μ/20μ/20μ/200μの3種5層共押出を行い、多層フィルムを作成した。フィードブロックへのそれぞれの樹脂の供給は、混合物層は32mmφ押出機、接着性樹脂層は25mmφ押出機、EVOH層は20mmφ押出機をそれぞれ使用し、また押出の温度は各樹脂とも220℃、ダイス部、フィードブロック部も220℃で行った。

マスターバッチ(MB1)の替わりにマスターバッチ(MB7)を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様に混合物層を有する多層フィルムを作成し、熱成形容器を得て、それらを評価した。結果を表1にまとめて記載する。

実施例1において、マスターバッチ(MB1)の代わりにマスターバッチ(MB6)を使用したこと以外は、実施例1と同様に混合物層を有する多層フィルムを作成し、熱成形容器を得て、それらを評価した。結果を表1にまとめて記載する

実施例1における混合物層を有する多層フィルム及び熱成形容器の評価結果を実施例11として表2に再度記載する。さらに、以下に示すように単層フィルムを作成して評価した。評価結果を表2に記載する。
実施例1で得られた回収物、マスターバッチ(MB1)および顔料(E-1)を、回収物/マスターバッチ(MB1)/顔料(E-1)=100/3/0.3の質量比でドライブレンドした混合物を用い、100μmの単層フィルムの押出成形を48時間行った。混合物の押出成形は32mmφ押出機を用いて、押出の温度は220℃、ダイス部の温度も220℃で行った。
単層フィルムを20cm×20cmに切り出し、単層フィルムの白スジの有無を目視で確認し、白スジの有無を以下の様に評価した。結果を表2に記載する。
A:全く白スジが発生しない。
B:小さな白スジが僅かに発生。
C:大きな白スジが発生。
単層フィルムの表面色としてYI値をJIS-K-7103に準じて測定した。結果を表2に記載する。
単層フィルムの押出を48時間行った後、続けて2kgのLDPE(日本ポリエチレン株式会社製「ノバテックLD LA320」)を投入し、押出機、アダプター及びダイのパージングを行った。LDPEが流れきった後に運転を止めてスクリューを取り出し、スクリューに残ったLDPEを除去し、劣化したスクリュー付着物を回収し、得られたスクリュー付着物の質量を秤量した。結果を表2に記載する。
EVOH(B)としてB-1のEVOHチップ100部に対し、滑剤(I)としてI-1を0.02部添加しドライブレンドを行い、滑剤(I)がEVOHチップ表面に均一に分散するまで振り混ぜEVOH(B-1)と滑剤(I-1)の混合物を得た。
EVOH(B)としてB-2を2000部、水/メタノール=40/60(質量比)の混合溶媒18000部に入れ、60℃で6時間攪拌し、完全に溶解させた。この溶液に共役ポリエン化合物(H)としてH-1(ソルビン酸)を2部添加し、さらに60℃で1時間攪拌してH-1を完全に溶解させ、共役ポリエン化合物(H-1)を含むEVOH溶液を得た。このEVOH溶液を直径4mmのノズルより、0℃に調整した水/メタノール=95/5(質量比)の凝固浴中に連続的に押出して、ストランド状にEVOHを凝固させた。このストランドをペレタイザーに導入して、多孔質のEVOHチップを得た。得られた多孔質EVOHチップを該チップ100部あたり0.1質量%酢酸水溶液2000部、次いでイオン交換水2000部を用いて20℃で順次洗浄した後、0.092%のホウ酸を含む水溶液2000部に20℃で4時間浸漬させた。EVOHチップを脱液・分離して、熱風乾燥機で80℃、4時間乾燥を行い、さらに100℃で16時間乾燥を行って、共役ポリエン化合物(H-1)を含むEVOH(B-2)であるEVOHチップを得た。得られたEVOHチップ中のH-1(ソルビン酸)の含有量はEVOH100部に対して0.01部、ホウ酸の含有量はホウ素換算で0.019部であった。またこのEVOHチップのメルトインデックス(ASTM-D1238、190℃、2160g荷重)は1.6g/10分であった。
実施例13で得られた共役ポリエン化合物(H-1)を含むEVOH(B-2)のEVOHチップ100部に対し、滑剤(I)としてI-1(エチレンステアリン酸ビスアミド)0.02部を添加しドライブレンドを行い、滑剤(I)がEVOHチップ表面に均一に分散するまで振り混ぜ共役ポリエン化合物(H-1)を含むEVOH(B-2)と滑剤(I-1)の混合物を得た。
マスターバッチ(MB1)の替わりにマスターバッチ(MB8)を用いたこと以外は、実施例14と同様に回収物を製造して、混合物層を有する多層フィルムを作成し、熱成形容器を得て、評価した。結果を表2にまとめて記載する。また、実施例14において、上記で製造した回収物を、実施例14で得られた回収物の代わりに用いたこと以外は、実施例14と同様にして単層フィルムを作成し、単層フィルムの白スジの評価およびYI値の測定、ならびに単層フィルム押出後のスクリュー付着量の測定を行った。結果を表2にまとめて記載する。ここで、表2に示すポリオレフィン(A)の含有量はポリオレフィン(A-1)とポリオレフィン(A-2)の合計を表す。
実施例12において、顔料としてE-1の代わりにE-2を用いたこと以外は、実施例12と同様に混合物層を有する多層フィルムを作成し、熱成形容器を得て、それらを評価した。また、実施例12において、顔料としてE-1の代わりにE-2を用いたこと以外は、実施例12と同様にして単層フィルムを作成し、単層フィルムの白スジの評価およびYI値の測定、ならびに単層フィルム押出後のスクリュー付着量の測定を行った。結果を表2にまとめて記載する。
実施例13において、顔料としてE-1の代わりにE-2を用いたこと以外は、実施例13と同様に混合物層を有する多層フィルムを作成し、熱成形容器を得て、それらを評価した。また、実施例13において、顔料としてE-1の代わりにE-2を用いたこと以外は、実施例13と同様にして単層フィルムを作成し、単層フィルムの白スジの評価およびYI値の測定、ならびに単層フィルム押出後のスクリュー付着量の測定を行った。結果を表2にまとめて記載する。

- ポリオレフィン(A)、エチレン含有量20~65モル%、酢酸ビニル単位のけん化度96%以上であるエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)、エチレン含有量68~98モル%、酢酸ビニル単位のけん化度20%以上のエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)、および顔料(E)を含有する樹脂組成物であって;
ポリオレフィン(A)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)の質量比(A/B)が3~99.5であり、
エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(B/C)が1~100であり、
顔料(E)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(E/C)が0.04~50であり、かつ
エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の含有量がポリオレフィン(A)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)の合計量100質量部に対して0.01~2.4質量部であることを特徴とする樹脂組成物。 - さらに共役ポリエン化合物(H)を含有し、共役ポリエン化合物(H)の含有量がポリオレフィン(A)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)の合計量100質量部に対して0.000001~1質量部である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- さらに滑剤(I)を含有し、滑剤(I)の含有量がポリオレフィン(A)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)の合計量100質量部に対して0.00001~1質量部である請求項1又は2記載の樹脂組成物。
- さらにエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(D)を含有し、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(D)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(D/C)が0.1~50である請求項1~3のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物。
- エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(B/C)が1~30であり、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(D)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(D/C)が0.1~15であり、顔料(E)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の質量比(E/C)が0.04~1.2であり、かつエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)の含有量がポリオレフィン(A)とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)の合計量100質量部に対して0.2~2質量部である請求項4記載の樹脂組成物。
- さらに脂肪酸金属塩(F)を含有し、脂肪酸金属塩(F)と顔料(E)の質量比(F/E)が0.1~3である請求項1~5のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物。
- 顔料(E)が、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、硫化亜鉛、カーボンブラック、鉛系顔料、カドミウム系顔料、コバルト系顔料、鉄系顔料、クロム系顔料、群青および紺青からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の無機系顔料である請求項1~6のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物。
- 顔料(E)が酸化チタンである請求項7記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記酸化チタンが、チタン以外の金属の化合物又はケイ素化合物により表面が被覆された酸化チタン粒子からなる請求項8記載の樹脂組成物。
- 顔料(E)が、アゾ系顔料、キナクリドン系顔料およびフタロシアニン系顔料からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の有機系顔料である請求項1~6のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物。
- ポリオレフィン(A)および顔料(E)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる層とエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(B)からなる層を含む多層構造体の回収物と、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物(C)を含有する樹脂組成物からなる回収助剤とを溶融混練する請求項1~10のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 前記回収助剤が、さらにエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体(D)を含有する請求項11記載の樹脂組成物の製造方法。
- 請求項1~10のいずれか記載の樹脂組成物からなる層と、エチレン含有量20~65モル%、酢酸ビニル単位のけん化度96%以上であるエチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体けん化物からなる層の少なくとも2層を含む多層構造体。
