- 1 is a Fourier transform unit
- 2 is a power calculation unit
- 3 is a time direction filter unit
- 4 is a noise mask unit

- the output of the power calculation unit 2 is compared with a predetermined threshold value (hereinafter also referred to as “determination threshold value”).
- a predetermined threshold value hereinafter also referred to as “determination threshold value”.
- the maximum Doppler frequency can be easily detected in the one-wave Rayleigh transmission line as shown in FIG.
- the Rice transmission line as shown in FIG. 3A, the output of the power calculation unit 2 of the maximum Doppler frequency component is relatively small, and therefore may not exceed the determination threshold.
- the determination result indicates a value slower than the original moving speed, which hinders optimization of the demodulation operation.

Thereby, the influence of the noise in each component can be reduced. Furthermore, the noise mask unit 4 masks a noise component included in the output of the time direction filter unit 3 to reduce the influence of noise on the detection result.

- the high frequency component average value calculation unit 41 calculates and outputs an average value of components whose absolute value of the Doppler frequency is a predetermined value or more among the inputs of the noise mask unit 4.
- the subtractor 42 subtracts the average value obtained by the high frequency component average value calculator 41 from the input of the noise mask unit 4 for each Doppler frequency component and outputs the result.
- the data clip unit 43 receives the output signal of the subtracting unit 42 and outputs it when the output signal of the subtracting unit 42 is equal to or higher than a predetermined clip level, and when the output signal of the subtracting unit 42 is lower than the clip level, A signal equal to the predetermined clip level is output.
- the clip level is set to zero or a predetermined positive value.
- FIG. 5A shows an outline of the Doppler frequency component output from the time direction filter unit 3 and input to the noise mask unit 4.
- 5 (b) and 5 (d) show an enlarged region in the vicinity of the maximum Doppler frequency Fd in FIG. 5 (a) in the output of the time direction filter unit 3
- 5C and 5E show an enlarged region in the vicinity of the maximum Doppler frequency Fd in FIG. 5A in the output of the noise mask unit 4.
- FIGS. 5C and 5E assume a case where the clip level of the data clip unit 43 in FIG. 4 is zero.
- FIGS. 5B and 5C show a case where the noise power is relatively large
- FIGS. 5D and 5E show a case where the noise power is relatively small.
- the output of the time direction filter unit 3 (FIGS. 5B and 5D) is directly input to the edge determination unit 6 without providing the noise mask unit 4 and the edge enhancement weighting unit 5, FIG.
- the signals b) and (d) are compared with the determination threshold value in the edge determination unit 6. If the determination threshold value TH is set to a relatively large value indicated by the symbol TH1 in FIGS. 5B and 5D, the maximum Doppler frequency is satisfactory when the noise power is large as shown in FIG. 5B. Although the component can be detected, as shown in FIG. 5 (d), when the noise power is small, the maximum Doppler frequency component is smaller than the determination threshold value TH1, so that it cannot be detected correctly.
- the determination threshold value TH is set to a relatively small value indicated by the symbol TH2 in FIGS. 5B and 5D, there is no problem when the noise power is small as shown in FIG. Although the frequency component can be detected, as shown in FIG. 5B, when the noise power is large, the portion other than the maximum Doppler frequency component, that is, the noise power becomes larger than the determination threshold value TH2. Only the maximum Doppler frequency component cannot be extracted, and the maximum Doppler frequency component cannot be detected correctly.
- the Doppler frequency components (FIGS. 5C and 5E), in which the influence of the noise component is reduced by subtracting the average value from each Doppler frequency component, are compared with the determination threshold TH. . If the determination threshold value TH is set to the value indicated by the symbol TH3 in FIGS. 5C and 5E, the maximum Doppler frequency component can be correctly detected whether the noise power is large or small. In other words, the processing in the noise mask unit 4 can suppress signal variation due to the influence of noise, and more reliably detect the maximum Doppler frequency.
- the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 performs a weighting operation on the output of the noise mask unit 4 so as to enhance the power change between adjacent Doppler frequency components.
- the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 includes a data delay unit 51, a weight coefficient calculation unit 52, and a multiplication unit 53, for example, as shown in FIG.
- data representing Doppler frequency components values after being subjected to processing by the noise mask unit 4
- the data delay unit 51 delays the input of the edge emphasis weighting unit 5 that is input in the order of the magnitude of the Doppler frequency by one data and outputs it.
- the input of the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 and the output of the data delay unit 51 are input to the weighting coefficient calculation unit 52 at the same time. Therefore, the weight coefficient calculation unit 52 is simultaneously input with data representing each Doppler frequency component and data representing a Doppler frequency component adjacent to the Doppler frequency component and lower than the Doppler frequency component.
- the weighting factor calculating unit 52 is a weighting factor for the Doppler frequency component based on data representing each Doppler frequency component and data representing a Doppler frequency component adjacent to the Doppler frequency component and lower than the Doppler frequency component. Is calculated.
- the weighting factor calculation unit 52 sets the weighting factor to “1” when either of the input data representing the two Doppler frequency components is zero, and sets the larger value (MAX) as the value when neither is zero.
- the result (MAX / MIN) divided by the smaller one (MIN) is output as a weighting coefficient.
- the multiplier 53 multiplies the input (the Doppler frequency component) of the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 by the weighting factor for each Doppler frequency component calculated by the weighting factor calculation unit 52 and outputs the result.
- the edge determination unit 6 compares the output of the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 with a predetermined determination threshold value TH, and the absolute value of the Doppler frequency is the highest among the frequency components for which the output of the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 is greater than the determination threshold value TH. A large one is detected, and the detection result is output as speed information proportional to the speed.
- FIGS. 7A and 7B show examples of computer simulation results regarding the effect of the edge enhancement weighting unit 5.
- FIG. 7A shows an output signal of the noise mask unit 4 before performing edge emphasis weighting.
- the horizontal axis represents the Doppler frequency
- the vertical axis represents the detection value, which is shown in an enlarged manner so that the difference in the detection value in a band where the Doppler frequency is large can be distinguished.
- the transmission line is a Rice transmission line
- the maximum Doppler frequency is 100 Hz
- the power ratio of the direct wave to the reflected wave is 18 dB. According to the configuration of FIG.
- a noise component having a size of about one third of the maximum Doppler frequency component is observed.
- this noise component is the maximum Doppler frequency component.
- the power of the noise component is 1/21/34 of the maximum Doppler frequency component. Therefore, the probability of erroneous determination is lower than that of the signal before weighting.
- the influence of noise is reduced by filtering in the time direction and masking in the Doppler frequency direction, and the adjacent Doppler frequency is detected before the maximum Doppler frequency is detected. Since it is configured to perform edge emphasis weighting processing that emphasizes the power change between components, not only when the time variation of the transmission path characteristics obtained from the received signal is large, but also as a direct wave as represented by the Rice transmission path The moving speed can be detected with high accuracy even in a transmission line in which a reflected wave exists.
- Embodiment 2 FIG. In the first embodiment, the edge enhancement weighting unit 5 is configured to improve the detection accuracy of the maximum Doppler frequency. Next, an embodiment in which the maximum Doppler frequency component is further enhanced will be described.
- FIG. 8 is a block diagram showing a receiving apparatus according to Embodiment 2 of the present invention.
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are the same as those shown in the first embodiment.

- the edge enhancement filter unit 7 filters such input with a filter having a high-pass characteristic.
- the edge enhancement filter unit 7 receives the output of the noise mask unit 4 as an input, and outputs a signal in which the edge is enhanced by filtering with a filter having a characteristic of allowing high frequencies to pass through.
- a filter having a characteristic of allowing high frequencies to pass through For example, an FIR (Finite Impulse Response) type high-pass filter may be used.
- Embodiment 3 the output of the edge determination unit 6 is configured to be output as speed information as it is, but then further detection is performed by adding an averaging process to the output of the edge determination unit 6. An embodiment for improving accuracy will be described.
- FIG. 9 is a block diagram showing a receiving apparatus according to Embodiment 3 of the present invention.
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are the same as those shown in the second embodiment.
- an averaging unit 8 that receives the output of the edge determination unit 6 is added, and the output of the averaging unit 8 represents speed information.
- the averaging unit 8 performs an averaging process on the output of the edge determination unit 6 to generate speed information.
- the influence can be reduced by performing the averaging process. If the change in the moving speed of the moving body, for example, the vehicle, is sufficiently gentler than the detection frequency, the detected value should change gradually, so the averaging process is effective.
- the averaging unit 8 may be configured to calculate an average value every certain time interval, or may be configured to calculate an average value of detection results in a certain time interval retroactively from the current detection value. In addition, instead of the average of a certain time interval, the detection value having the highest detection frequency among the detection values in a certain time interval may be output.
- the speed information is generated after the averaging process is performed on the result determined by the edge determination unit 6, the detection result variation due to the false detection by the edge determination unit 6 And the moving speed can be detected with high accuracy.
