- the angle at which the antenna base 10 is bent determines the angle of the antenna 50.
- the antenna base 10 has conductivity, and also has a role of electrically connecting the antenna 50 and a screw 60 such as a bolt screwed into the roof fixing screw hole 12.
- the antenna base 10 is preferably made of alloy steel such as stainless steel that is highly resistant to corrosion or water, or alloy steel plating.
- the mold resin 20 is provided so as to cover at least a part from the front surface to the back surface of the antenna base 10.
- the back surface of the antenna base 10 is a surface facing the vehicle roof R
- the front surface is a surface facing the back surface.
- the mold resin 20 is provided by, for example, insert molding so as to cover from the front surface to the back surface of the reference plate surface 15 other than the bent plate surface 16 of the antenna base 10.
- a side wall 21 is formed on the mold resin 20. The side wall 21 protrudes in the axial direction of the roof fixing screw hole 12 so as to surround the periphery of the roof fixing screw hole 12 on the surface side of the antenna base 10.
- the side wall 21 has an opening in the axial direction of the screw hole 12 for fixing the roof, and the top is not closed.
- the protruding amount of the side wall 21 provided in the mold resin 20 is set to a degree that secures a space in which the tip of the screw 60 screwed into the roof fixing screw hole 12 can be accommodated. That is, the side wall 21 has a height higher than the burring-processed roof fixing screw hole 12 and protrudes to the extent that the screw tip portion can be accommodated.
- the tip of the screw 60 is not threaded and has a tapered shape.
- the tip of the screw 60 protrudes to some extent from the upper part of the roof fixing screw hole 12 that has been subjected to burring, a clearance corresponding to that is prepared. Further, even if the length of the screw 60 is adjusted, the protruding portion of the side wall 21 may be designed with some allowance because the tip of the screw 60 may protrude more due to the difference in the thickness of the vehicle roof R or the like. It should be done.
- the mold resin 20 in the illustrated example is provided with a temporary fixing claw 23 for fixing to the vehicle roof R.
- the temporary fixing claw 23 is formed so as to protrude in the axial direction of the roof fixing screw hole 12 from the vicinity of the periphery of the back surface side of the antenna base 10 of the roof fixing screw hole 12.

- seal pads 40 are arranged on the back surface side (vehicle roof R side) of the mold resin 20 provided on the antenna base 10 and the contact surface of the vehicle roof R.
- the seal pad 40 is provided with an opening corresponding to a protruding portion such as the temporary fixing claw 23 and the protruding portion 24 provided on the back surface side of the mold resin 20.
- the opening of the seal pad 40 is provided with a flange 45 which is fitted into an annular recess 28 provided at the base of the protruding portion such as the temporary fixing claw 23 and the protruding portion 24.
- the waterproof performance is enhanced and the seal pad 40 is securely fixed to the mold resin 20. Also, the seal pad 40 can be easily attached.
- the seal pad does not necessarily need to be provided over the entire antenna base as in the illustrated example. For example, only temporary fixing claws or protrusions inserted into the opening so as to seal only the opening provided in the vehicle roof. For example, an O-ring or the like may be provided.
- the vehicle roof mount antenna device of the present invention is installed on the vehicle roof R after the antenna cover 30 is fitted to the antenna base 10 in which the mold resin 20 is insert-molded, and the seal pad 40 is mounted. By fastening with a screw 60 from the inside, it is fixed to the vehicle roof R.
- the portion where the tip of the screw 60 is accommodated is hermetically sealed by the side wall 21 and the lid portion 31, so that even when water enters the antenna cover 30, it is strongly waterproofed, and the vehicle roof R and the vehicle roof Since the seal pad 40 is interposed between the mount antenna device and the mount antenna device, the possibility of water entering the vehicle is low.
- the structure since the structure is simple as described above, it can be manufactured at low cost, and both waterproofing and fixing can be performed simply by fitting the antenna cover to the antenna base, so that the assembling work is facilitated.
