Abstract
Description
また、近年では、眼鏡等の光学部品の分野でも透明樹脂レンズ等の樹脂製品が多用されつつある。
さらに、電子材料の分野でも、液晶ディスプレイの反射防止コーティング剤、太陽電池用透明コーティング剤、発光ダイオード、CCDやCMOSセンサーの受光部等の光学電子材料の用途に上述の透明性樹脂が多用されつつある。このような光学電子材料の用途では、透明性ばかりでなく、光取り出し効率の向上や集光性の向上のために高い屈折率をも要求される場合が多い。
例えば、特許文献1および2では、臭素や硫黄等の重原子を有機樹脂に多量に結合させてその屈折率を向上させる手法が提案されている。
また、特許文献3および4では、高屈折率の無機酸化物微粒子を有機樹脂に分散してその屈折率を向上させる手法が提案されている。
一方、特許文献3および4の手法でも、得られた微粒子分散樹脂の長期保存安定性などに問題があり、また、無機酸化物微粒子の樹脂中での分散安定性を改善するために多量の分散安定剤を必要とすることから、屈折率と分散安定性とのバランスをとるのが困難になるなどの課題があった。
なお、高屈折率ではないが、重合性トリアジン系を用いた樹脂組成物も知られている(特許文献5,6)。
1. 式(1)で表されることを特徴とする1,3,5-トリアジン環を有する重合性単量体、
2. 1の重合性単量体70~100質量部と、これと重合可能な他の単量体0~30質量部とを重合して得られることを特徴とする高屈折率樹脂組成物、
3. 前記他の単量体が、ビニル系単量体、アクリル系単量体、メタクリル系単量体、アリル系単量体、およびマレイン酸系単量体から選ばれる少なくとも1種である2の高屈折率樹脂組成物、
4. 当該樹脂組成物中の樹脂100質量部に対し、エポキシ化合物、イソシアネート化合物およびアミノプラスト化合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種の架橋剤が、0.1~20質量部含まれる2または3の高屈折率樹脂組成物
を提供する。
したがって、この樹脂組成物をコーティング剤として用いることで、透明性、高屈折率、耐溶剤性および耐熱性等の性能バランスが優れた樹脂皮膜を作製することができる。
本発明に係る1,3,5-トリアジン環を有する重合性単量体は、下記式(1)で表されるものである。
ここで、炭素数1~10のアルキレン基は、鎖状、分岐状、環状のいずれでもよく、その具体例としては、後に詳述する炭素数1~10のアルキル基に対応する2価の官能基が挙げられるが、中でも好適なものとしては、エチレン基、プロピレン基、イソプロピレン基、ブチレン基等が挙げられる。
なお、R3、R4およびR5が、それぞれ2個以上存在する場合、それらは互いに同一でも異なっていてもよい。すなわち、2個以上存在する全ての基が、同一のものでも、複数種の置換基の組み合わせであってもよい。
上記アリールオキシ基の炭素数は特に限定されるものではないが、炭素数6~20が好ましい。その具体例としては、フェノキシ基、ナフトキシ基、アントラニルオキシ基等が挙げられるが、中でもフェノキシ基が好適である。
なお、上記アリール基およびアリールオキシ基は、それぞれ上述したようなアルキル基で置換されたアルキル化アリール基またはアルキル化アリールオキシ基として用いることもできる。
また、アントラニルアミノ基やアントラニルオキシ基のような大きな共役系官能基で置換した重合体では、得られる樹脂の屈折率は高くなるが、樹脂自身の光透過性が極端に低下し、さらに加熱や光によって着色し易くなり透明性の維持が困難になる。
したがって、B1およびB2は、透明性と高屈折とを同時発現させるべく、上記の式(3)の置換基を有していてもよいフェノキシ基、式(4)の置換を有していてもよいナフトキシ基、または式(5)の置換を有していてもよいアニリノ基が好適である。
また、反応に用いる原料は、市販品として入手することが可能である。
上記他の重合性単量体としては、式(1)の単量体が有する炭素-炭素二重結合と反応して共重合体を与え得る官能基を有するものであれば特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、ビニル系単量体、アクリル系単量体、メタクリル系単量体、アリル系単量体、マレイン酸系単量体などが挙げられる。
マレイン酸系単量体の具体例としては、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸モノメチル、マレイン酸ジメチル等のマレイン酸およびそのエステル類;無水マレイン酸とエチレングリコールやネオペンチルグリコール等のポリオール類とを反応させて得られる不飽和ポリエステル類;無水マレイン酸とモノアミンとを反応させてできるフェニルマレイミド、シクロへキシルマレイミド等のモノマレイミド類;無水マレイン酸とジアミンとを反応させてできるジフェニルエーテルビスマレイミド等のビスマレイミド類などが挙げられる。
以上で例示した重合性単量体は、それぞれ単独で用いても、2種以上組み合わせて用いてもよく、また、異なる系統の単量体を組み合わせて用いることもできる
このような重合開始剤としては、過酸化ベンゾイル等の有機過酸化物、アゾビスイソブチロニトリル等のアゾ系重合開始剤、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド/ナフテン酸コバルト等のレドックス系開始剤などの、一般的に使用されるラジカル重合開始剤であればいかなるものでもよい。
重合開始剤の使用量は、重合性単量体100質量部に対して0.1~10質量部程度とすることができる。
この場合、重合に用いる有機溶媒としては、式(1)の重合性単量体の単独重合体または共重合体を製造できるものであれば特に制限はなく、例えば、ジメチルアセトアミド、N-メチルピロリドン等のアミド系溶媒;テトラヒドロフラン等の環状エーテル系溶媒;メチルエチルケトン、シクロヘキサノン等のケトン系溶媒;ガンマブチロラクトン等のエステル系溶媒、ジクロロエタン等のハロゲン系溶媒;トルエン、ベンゼン等の芳香族系溶媒;およびこれらの混合溶媒などが挙げられる。
また、塊状重合や懸濁重合法を用いた場合、得られた樹脂組成物を、同じく有機溶剤に溶かして樹脂組成物溶液を製造できる。
この場合、用いる有機溶剤としては、樹脂を溶解し得るものであれば特に限定されるものではないが、ジメチルアセトアミド、N-メチルピロリドン等のアミド系溶剤;テトラヒドロフラン等の環状エーテル系溶剤;メチルエチルケトン、シクロヘキサノン等のケトン系溶剤;ガンマブチロラクトン等のエステル系溶剤などが好ましい。
なお、この段階では、得られた樹脂膜は熱可塑性であるので、上記樹脂組成物溶液に架橋剤を配合することによって、さらに得られる樹脂膜の物性を向上させることができる。
ここで、架橋剤としては、特に限定されるものではなく、この種の樹脂組成物に汎用されているものから適宜選択して用いることができ、例えば、エポキシ化合物、イソシアネート化合物、およびアミノプラスト化合物から選ばれる1種または2種以上の架橋剤を用いることができる。
イソシアネート化合物の具体例としては、トルイレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート等の2官能以上のイソシアネート化合物や、これらのイソシアネート化合物をカプロラクタムまたはオキシムと反応させて保護基としたブロックイソシアネート類が挙げられる。
なお、イソシアネート化合物の場合は、使用直前に樹脂組成物溶液に加えることが好ましい。
アミノプラスト化合物の具体例としては、分子内に2個以上のアルコキシメチル基を有する尿素樹脂、メラミン樹脂、またはベンゾグアナミン樹脂が挙げられ、これらの中でも、特に、分子内に2個以上のアルコキシメチル基を有するメラミン樹脂が好ましい。
架橋剤を上記の配合量で配合して得られたコーティング組成物を用いることで、得られる樹脂膜に、透明性および高屈折率という本発明の主要な特性に加え、耐溶剤性、耐熱性、機械物性等の性能を発揮させることができる。
架橋触媒の配合量は、通常、樹脂組成物溶液の樹脂固形分100質量部に対し、0.1~5質量部程度である。
上記コーティング組成物は、スピンコータ、スプレーコータ、ドクターブレード、バーコータ等を用いて基材上に塗布した後、ホットプレート、熱風循環乾燥機または赤外炉等の加熱装置を用いて、100~250℃で加熱・硬化させ、樹脂膜とすることができる。
[1H-NMR]
化合物を重水素化クロロホルムに溶解し、400MHzの1H-NMR(バリアン社製)を用いて測定した。
この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(L1)で表される中間体化合物であることが確認された。

この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(M1)で表される重合性単量体であることが確認された。

300mL三口フラスコに、得られた白色固体14.5g、およびテトラヒドロフラン220mLを加え、2-アミノエタノール6.5g、およびトリエチルアミン10.8gを加え、60℃で一晩撹拌した。その後、水を加え、ジエチルエーテルを用いて抽出した。有機層に無水硫酸マグネシウムを加え、ろ過した後に、ロータリーエバポレータを用いて溶媒留去を行った。残渣をヘキサンとジエチルエーテルの混合溶媒にて洗浄し、白色固体14.8gを得た。
この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(M2)で表される重合性単量体であることが確認された。

200mL三口フラスコに、得られた白色固体14.0g、およびテトラヒドロフラン200mLを加え、2-アミノエタノール4.3g、およびトリエチルアミン7.6gを加え、60℃で7時間撹拌した。その後、水を加え、ジエチルエーテルを用いて抽出した。有機層に無水硫酸マグネシウムを加えて脱水乾燥、ろ過した後に、ロータリーエバポレータを用いて溶媒留去を行った。残渣をヘキサンと酢酸エチルとの混合溶媒を用いて洗浄し、白色固体11.7gを得た。
この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(M3)で表される重合性単量体であることが確認された。

この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(L2)で表される中間体化合物であることが確認された。

この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(M4)で表される重合性単量体であることが確認された。

この白色固体のNMR測定結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、式(M5)で表される重合性単量体であることが確認された。

[実施例7]
窒素導入管の付いた三口フラスコに、実施例1で得られた重合性単量体(M1)21.0g、アクリル酸ブチル7.5g、アクリル酸1.5g、および溶媒としてシクロヘキサノン69gを仕込み、撹拌しながら、キャピラリー管を通じて窒素2Lをバブリングさせた。その後、キャピラリー管を外し、微量の窒素をフラスコ内の気相に通じて空気を遮断した。フラスコを加温し、内温が85℃になったところで、重合開始剤として、1,1-ジ(t-ヘキシルパーオキシ)-3,3,5-シクロヘキサン0.3gを加えて重合を開始した。85℃にて3時間反応後、115℃に昇温して2時間熟成させた。その後、室温まで冷却して、高屈折率樹脂溶液P1を得た。
上記実施例2~6で得られた各種の重合性単量体を用い、表1に示す組成にて添加した以外は、実施例7と同一の溶剤およびその量、重合開始剤およびその量を使用し、実施例7と同様の方法で溶液重合を実施し、高屈折率樹脂溶液を得た。
ただし、実施例9については、撹拌している2Lのメタノール中に、反応物をゆっくり滴下し、樹脂分を再沈殿させた。この沈殿物を吸引ろ過して取り出し、これを一晩真空乾燥して白色粉末を得た。この白色粉末15gをシクロヘキサノン35gに溶解して、高屈折率樹脂溶液P2とした。
実施例4で得られた重合性単量体を用い、表1に示す組成にて添加した以外は、実施例7と同一の溶剤およびその量、重合開始剤およびその量を使用し、実施例7と同様の方法で溶液重合を実施し、比較樹脂溶液Q1とした。
[実施例13~18,比較例2]
実施例7~12および比較例1で調製した樹脂溶液に、表2で示される組成比で架橋剤および必要に応じて触媒等のその他の成分を配合し、高屈折率樹脂コーティング剤C1~C6,D1を得た。
配合に際しては、それぞれの架橋剤をシクロヘキサノンで希釈して使用した。また、各コーティング剤は、全固形分が30質量%になるように調整した。
なお、塗布条件に合わせて溶剤(シクロヘキサノン)で希釈して使用した。
(1)光透過率
各コーティング剤を、4cm×4cmの石英板にスピンコータを用いて塗布し、100℃にて1時間乾燥後、150℃にて1時間硬化させて、厚さ5μmの皮膜を得た。
得られた皮膜について、(株)島津製作所製、分光光度計UV-3100PCを用い、測定波長400nmにおける光透過率を測定した。
(2)屈折率
各コーティング剤を、シリコンウエハー上にスピンコータを用いて塗布し、100℃にて1時間乾燥後、150℃にて1時間硬化させて、厚さ100nmの皮膜を得た。
得られた皮膜について、(株)溝尻光学工業所製、自動エリプソメータDVA-FLVWを用い、測定波長633nmにおける屈折率を測定した。
(3)耐溶剤性試験
各コーティング剤を、シリコンウエハーにスピンコータを用いて塗布し、100℃にて1時間乾燥後、150℃にて1時間硬化させて、厚さ1μmの皮膜を得た。
得られた厚さ1μmの皮膜付きシリコンウエハーを、N-メチルピロリドン(NMP)に3分間浸漬した後、200℃×1分間の条件にて溶媒を除去して乾燥させた。
乾燥後のフィルムの膜厚を測定し、残膜率(試験後の膜厚/試験前の膜厚×100)が60%以上であった場合を「○」とし、それ以下を「×」として評価した。
(4)液状樹脂耐久性試験
密閉できるガラス瓶に、ジャパンエポキシレジン(株)製、水素化ビスフェノールAエポキシ樹脂(商品名YX-8000)10g、硬化剤としてメチル化ヘキサヒドロ無水フタル酸8.0g、および触媒としてサンアプロ(株)製の第4級ホスホニウム塩(商品名U-CAT SA-5003)0.2gをそれぞれ計量して投入し、窒素封入後、瓶を密閉して、マグネティックスターラーで1時間撹拌し、透明エポキシ樹脂組成物を作製した。
この透明エポキシ樹脂組成物0.1gをピペットで計量し、光透過率の測定で使用した各皮膜を形成した石英板上に滴下し、半球状の液滴を形成した。これをさらに4回繰り返し、皮膜上に、ランダムに計5点の半球状の液滴を形成した。
続いて、この試験片を乾燥機に入れ、90℃×1時間、105℃×2時間、150℃×3時間で液滴を硬化させた後、加熱を停止して一晩ゆっくり放冷した。その後、エポキシの半球状硬化物と皮膜との界面層の状態を観測した。
5点とも皮膜からの剥離は一切観測されず、良好な密着性を示し、また5点とも界面は透明性を保持しており、白濁、変形等は一切観測されず、また石英板とC1皮膜の界面での剥離等も一切観測されなかった場合を「○」とし、そのような状態を示さない場合を「×」として評価した。
500mL四口フラスコに、シアヌル酸クロリド12.0g、メタクリル酸2-ヒドロキシエチル9.3g、およびテトラヒドロフラン96gを加え、氷浴にて冷却した。0℃下、水素化ナトリウム3.4gを添加し、室温で1時間撹拌した。さらにジエチルアミン20.9g、テトラヒドロフラン24gの溶液を加え、50℃に加熱して、2時間撹拌した。その後、室温まで冷却し、1N塩酸を加え、酢酸エチルを用いて抽出した。有機層に無水硫酸マグネシウムを加え、ろ過した後に、ロータリーエバポレータを用いて溶媒留去を行った。残渣をシリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製して、白色固体23.0gを得た。
この白色固体をNMRで測定した結果を以下に示す。この結果から、得られた白色固体が、下記式(M7)で表される重合性単量体であることを確認した。この重合性単量体[M7]は後述する比較例のコーティング剤の製造に供した。
重合性単量体M2の代わりに比較例3で得られた重合性単量体M7を用いて、実施例8と同様の方法で、溶液重合を実施し、比較樹脂溶液Q2とした。
樹脂Q2を用いた以外は、実施例14と同様にしてコーティング組成物D2を製造した。
上記特許文献5の実施例2において、下式(M8)で示される重合性単量体が88質量%を占める重合性単量体組成物が得られると記載されている。
この記載にしたがって、比較例に供する重合性単量体の合成を行った。合成法については、特許文献5の実施例2に記載の方法と同一の組成比率および同一の温度条件、さらに同一の洗浄等の後処理条件にて行った。
すなわち、300mL四口フラスコに、トルエン67.6g、塩化シアヌル20.0g、2-ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート48.4g、炭酸ナトリウム87.6g、および重合禁止剤としてN-ニトロソジフェニルアミン0.0048gを投入し、25℃にて4時間撹拌した。続いて90℃に昇温して2時間撹拌した後、60℃に冷却し、トリエチルアミン5.6gを添加して2時間撹拌した。得られたスラリー状の反応混合物を水500gに投入し、撹拌して無機物を溶解した。これを静置し、分液した。この有機層を水120gに投入し、5Nの塩酸にて水層のpHが4になるまで中和した。有機層を分液し、水120gに投入して洗浄した。さらにもう一度洗浄を繰り返した後に分液して、無水硫酸マグネシウム2gを加えて脱水、乾燥した。その後、トルエンを減圧蒸留にて留去し、淡黄色透明の粘性液体である、特許文献5の実施例2記載の重合性単量体組成物24gを得た。
[比較例6]
上記比較例5で得られた、特許文献5の実施例2記載の重合性単量体組成物は多官能性であるため、このまま溶液重合等を実施すると架橋・ゲル化してしまう。そのため、溶液重合は実施せず、比較例5で得られた重合性単量体組成物そのものをQ3とし、これを用いて光硬化性樹脂組成物を製造した。
すなわち、チバ社製DAROCURE-1173 2gを、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル(以下、PGMEと記す)400gに溶解したものを、Q3 100gに混合し、表3に示す光硬化性の樹脂コーティング剤D3を調製した。
比較例6のコーティング液D3は、4cm×4cmの石英板もしくはシリコンウエハーにスピンコータを用いて塗布し、窒素雰囲気下、メタルハライドランプにて波長350nmにおける照射量が999mJになるように光照射を行い、その後150℃にて5分間乾燥させて皮膜を作製した。得られた皮膜について、光透過率、屈折率、耐溶剤性および液状樹脂耐久性を、上記と同様にして評価した。結果を表6に示す。
また、耐溶剤性にも優れるだけでなく、液状樹脂との硬化過程における変質が無く、さらに硬化後の液状樹脂との接着性、および石英などの無機材料との接着性にも優れていることがわかる。
これに対し、表3および表6に示されるように、比較例2、比較例4および比較例6のコーティング剤D1~D3から得られた皮膜は、透明性は良好ではあるものの、屈折率が低いなどの欠点があることがわかる。
また、これらの光学電子材料分野ばかりでなく、ガラスやプラスチックレンズ等の工業材料のコーティング剤としても有用である。
Claims (4)
- 式(1)で表されることを特徴とする1,3,5-トリアジン環を有する重合性単量体。
で表される基であり、
B1およびB2は、互いに独立して、式(3)、式(4)または式(5)
で表される基である。〕 - 請求項1記載の重合性単量体70~100質量部と、これと重合可能な他の単量体0~30質量部とを重合して得られることを特徴とする高屈折率樹脂組成物。
- 前記他の単量体が、ビニル系単量体、アクリル系単量体、メタクリル系単量体、アリル系単量体、およびマレイン酸系単量体から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項2記載の高屈折率樹脂組成物。
- 当該樹脂組成物中の樹脂100質量部に対し、エポキシ化合物、イソシアネート化合物およびアミノプラスト化合物から選ばれる少なくとも1種の架橋剤が、0.1~20質量部含まれる請求項2または3記載の高屈折率樹脂組成物。
