また、溶断刃は導電性であるため、表皮効果によって、誘導電流は溶断刃の表面に集中する。
従って、前記交番磁界が前記刃面を貫いた場合、エッジ効果及び表皮効果によって、刃面を構成する刃先及び縁部に均一な電流が流れる。
よって、従来のヒータを用いた溶断装置、単純な誘導加熱を利用した溶断装置に比べて、刃先をより速やかに、かつむら無く加熱することが可能になる。
また、溶断刃は導電性であるため、表皮効果によって、誘導電流は溶断刃の表面に集中する。
従って、前記交番磁界が該刃面を貫いた場合、エッジ効果及び表皮効果によって、刃面を構成する刃先及び縁部に均一な電流が流れる。

図1は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る溶断システムの構成を示す概略側面図である。溶断システムは、被溶断物19を樹脂成型する成型機2、及び被溶断物19を溶断する溶断装置1を備える。被溶断物19は、樹脂製のゲート部19b及び該ゲート部19bを介して接続された成型部品19aから構成される。成型部品19aは、例えば樹脂レンズである。
また、磁界の方向及び強さ夫々が均一であり、溶断刃11を誘導加熱させるための交番磁界M1を生成するヘルムホルツコイル12が一対の溶断刃11を囲繞し、溶断刃11の刃先11cがヘルムホルツコイル12の略中央に位置し、かつヘルムホルツコイル12の中心線と、溶断方向とが略一致するように設けられている。
なお、4乗根増幅器17aの一例として、電子回路で構成された4乗根増幅器17aで説明したが、マイコンに置き換えて演算するように構成しても良い。
以下、調節器17cに係る設定値を用いて、溶断刃11の絶対温度Tが制御されている状態を、待機中といい、調節器17dに係る設定値を用いて、溶断刃11の絶対温度Tが制御されている状態を溶断中という。
より具体的には、ハイサイドスイッチHSL及びローサイドスイッチLSLを夫々入状態及び切状態に、かつハイサイドスイッチHSR及びローサイドスイッチLSRを夫々切状態にするスイッチング信号を生成し、生成された該信号をドライブ回路17jへ出力する。
次いで、ハイサイドスイッチHSL及びローサイドスイッチLSLを夫々切状態に、かつハイサイドスイッチHSR及びローサイドスイッチLSRを夫々入状態及び切状態にするスイッチング信号を生成し、生成された該信号をドライブ回路17jへ出力する。
以下、同様の処理を繰りかえす。
なお、言うまでもなく、論理回路17iは、ハイサイドスイッチHSL及びローサイドスイッチLSLが同時に入状態若しくは切状態になること、又はハイサイドスイッチHSR及びローサイドスイッチLSRが同時に入状態若しくは切状態になることを防ぐためのデッドタイムを決定し、スイッチング信号を生成している。
ヘルムホルツコイル12に交番電流LCIが通電した場合、円形誘導加熱コイル12aの中心線上であって、各円形誘導加熱コイル12aからの距離が略D/2の位置付近は、方向及び強度が略均一な交番磁界M2に覆われる。その結果、溶断刃11の刃先11cは、均一な交番磁界M2に覆われる。
刃面11a、11bは平面状であり、かつ溶断刃11を貫く交番磁界M2の強度及び方向が均一であるため、図3に示すように、溶断刃11の刃面11a及び刃面11bには略均一な磁界M3、M4が発生する。白抜き矢印で示す磁界M3、M4は、交番磁界M2の刃面11a、11bに対して略垂直な成分を示している。
溶断刃11の刃面11a、11bに均一な磁界M3,M4が発生した場合、刃面11a、11bの面内の微小な任意の各点T1,T2における渦電流I3,I4は、バツ印で示すように、相互に打ち消し合う。なお、作図の便宜上、各刃面11a、11b夫々に一点T1,T2のみを図示しているが、刃面11a、11bの面内における任意の点の一つを代表的に図示したものであり、他の任意の点においても同様にして渦電流は相互に打ち消し合う。その結果、刃面11a、11bの周囲を構成する刃先11c及び縁部に沿って均一な電流I1,I2が集中して流れ、その反面、刃面11a、11bの刃先11c及び縁部を除いた中央部分における渦電流I3,I4は連鎖的に消失する傾向にある。刃面11a、11bの周囲を構成する刃先11c及び縁部に沿って流れる電流I1,I2は、熱損失によって、ジュール熱を発生させる。以下、刃面11a、11bの縁部の表層に発生したジュール熱を表皮発熱H1,H2という。特に、刃面11a、11bが交差する刃先11cでは、電流I1,I2が重畳的に流れるため、刃先11cに表皮発熱H1、H2が集中する。つまり、溶断刃11の刃先11cは、エッジ効果によって、熱源として作用する。このような現象をエッジ効果という。
刃先11cに発生するジュール熱の熱量Pは、次式(4)で表される。熱量Pは、交番電流LCIの周波数f、抵抗率ρ,及び比透磁率μの2乗根に比例し、巻数N及び交番電流LCIの2乗に比例する。
十分な、エッジ効果を発揮させるためには、円形誘導加熱コイル12aの半径Rに比較して、溶断刃11の寸法は小さい方が望ましい。
図6は、待機中における誘導加熱回路17の動作を示すタイミングチャート、図7は、溶断中における誘導加熱回路17の動作を示すタイミングチャートである。図6(a)及び図7(a)は、共振基準クロックCLK、各図(b)は、ハイサイドスイッチHSL、各図(c)はローサイドスイッチLSL、各図(d)は、ハイサイドスイッチHSR、各図(e)はローサイドスイッチLSR、各図(f)は、交番電流LCIのタイミングチャートを夫々示している。
設定器17bが誤差増幅器17eへ出力する設定値は、コントローラ18によって選択される。コントローラ18によって、調節器17cに係る設定値が選択された場合、調節器17cに係る設定値と、絶対温度計測値Sg1との差分がゼロになるように溶断刃11の絶対温度Tが一定に制御される。
また、コントローラ18によって、調節器17dに係る設定値が選択された場合、調節器17dに係る設定値と、絶対温度計測値Sg1との差分がゼロになるように溶断刃11の絶対温度Tが一定に制御される。
溶断刃11の温度を所定温度以上に保つことができるため、溶断に必要な加圧力量Preを所定量未満に制御することが可能になる。従って、被溶断物19に加わる加圧力量Preが所定量超になることに起因する被溶断物19の歪み、ひび等の不具合を解消することができる。
また、溶断刃11の温度を所定温度以上に保つことができるため、溶断に必要な速度を短縮することができる。
本実施の形態では、2つの溶断刃11が対称的に相対移動するため、各溶断刃11の溶断開始時から完了時までの溶断中の仲心点がずれる虞は低く、成型部品19aの溶断面及び成型部品19aに歪を与えずに、被溶断物19を溶断することができる。
なお、言うまでもなく、上記式(1)を満たせば、溶断刃11の刃面の形状は、特に限定されない。
図8は、変形例1に係る溶断装置1の要部を模式的に示す正面図である。変形例1に係る溶断装置1は、実施の形態1と同様の構成であり、溶断刃11に対するヘルムホルツコイル112の位置関係のみが異なる。以下では、主に上記相異点を説明する。
従って、溶断刃11の刃先11cにより大きな電流が流れ、より効果的に溶断刃11の刃先11cを誘導加熱することができる。
図9は、変形例2に係る溶断装置1の要部を示す模式図である。図9(a)は、円形誘導加熱コイル12a及び溶断刃11の正面図、図9(b)は、円形誘導加熱コイル12aの右側面図である。変形例2に係る溶断装置1は、実施の形態1と同様の構成であり、ヘルムホルツコイル212の構成のみが異なる。以下では、主に上記相異点を説明する。
刃先11cに沿う方向の幅が長い溶断刃11の刃先11cの全部に亘って均一であれば、幅の広いゲート部19bにかかる加圧力量Preを低下させることができる。
図10は、変形例3に係る溶断装置1の要部を模式的に示す正面図である。変形例3に係る溶断装置1は、変形例2と同様の構成であり、溶断刃11に対するヘルムホルツコイル312の位置関係のみが異なる。以下では、主に上記相異点を説明する。
各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aは、N本の多芯線312bよりなり、略同形である。各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aの長辺方向長さの半長はR、短辺方向長さの半長はrであり、溶断刃11の刃先11cに沿う方向と、略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aの長手方向とが略一致するように配されている。また、各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aは、各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aの半長rと、中心線方向における各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312a間の距離dとが略等しくなるように配されている。各略長方形誘導加熱コイル312aには、同じ方向に交番電流LCIが通電される。
図11は、変形例4に係る溶断装置1の誘導加熱回路417を示す回路図である。変形例4に係る溶断装置1は、実施の形態1と同様の構成であり、誘導加熱回路417の構成のみが異なる。以下では、主に上記相異点を説明する。
図12は、変形例5に係る溶断装置1の誘導加熱回路517を示す回路図である。変形例5に係る溶断装置1は、実施の形態1と同様の構成であり、交番電流LCIの大きさを制御することによって溶断刃11の温度を制御するように構成してある点が異なる。以下では主に上記相異点を説明する。
図13は、本発明の実施の形態2に係る溶断装置1の構成を模式的に示す概略側面図である。実施の形態2に係る溶断装置1は、実施の形態1に係る溶断装置1と同様の構成であり、片方の溶断刃711のみが可動に構成されている点と、モータ駆動回路16の回路構成とが異なり、加圧力量制御機能を有している。該加圧力量制御機能は、溶断刃711によって被溶断物19に加えられる加圧力量Preを、一定量未満に制御する機能である。以下では、主に上記相異点について説明する。
なお、二点鎖線で囲まれた構成部分は、加圧力量制御溶断装置4というユニットを構成している。
なお、モータ15bの応答の遅れもあって、計測値Sg3は加圧力設定値Sg4を中心に多少のハンティング現象を起すも、加圧力設定値Sg4に一致するように収束する。
図15(a)に示すように、計測値Sg3が、上限調節器16hで設定された上限値以上になった場合、図15(b)に示すように、加圧力上限検出器16gからハイレベルの上限検出値Sg5が出力され、パルス列Sg6停止手段は、図15(c)に示すように、パルス列Sg6の出力を停止する。パルス列Sg6の出力が停止した場合、図15(d)に示すように、速度指令信号Sg7の出力も停止し、モータ15bの回転は一時停止する。
計測値Sg3が加圧力上限値未満に戻った場合、パルス列停止回路16iは、パルス列Sg6の出力を再び開始する。
また、実施の形態2に係る溶断装置1にあっては、溶断刃711の駆動機構の一方の溶断刃711に設け、他方の溶断刃711を固定式にしているため、低コストで溶断刃711を構成することができる。
図16は、本発明の実施の形態3に係る溶断装置1の構成を模式的に示す概略側面図である。実施の形態3に係る溶断装置1は、2つの加圧力量制御溶断装置4を備え、一対の溶断刃711夫々が溶断方向へ相対移動できるように構成してある。
一対の溶断刃711の移動は、コントローラ18によって同期運転するように構成されている。
Claims (7)
- 導電性の溶断刃を備えた溶断装置において、
前記溶断刃を誘導加熱させるための交番磁界を生成するヘルムホルツコイルを備え、
前記溶断刃は、
平面状の刃面を有し、該溶断刃の刃先が前記ヘルムホルツコイルの中心線方向略中央部に配されている
ことを特徴とする溶断装置。 - 前記ヘルムホルツコイルは、略長方形、略楕円形又は略長円形をなす複数のコイルを備え、
前記ヘルムホルツコイルは、前記溶断刃の刃先に沿う方向と、前記コイルの長手方向とが略一致するように配されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の溶断装置。 - 高圧直流電源に接続されたスイッチング素子を有し、該スイッチング素子の入切によって、交番磁界を生成するための交番電流を出力するインバータ回路と、
前記スイッチング素子を入切させるためのスイッチング信号を出力する駆動回路と、
該駆動回路及び前記スイッチング素子間に介装されており、スイッチング信号の電圧レベルを変更するレベルシフト回路と
を備え、
前記レベルシフト回路は、
低圧直流電源と、該レベルシフト回路を動作させるための電源コンデンサとの間に順方向接続されたダイオードと、
前記駆動回路から出力されたスイッチング信号を前記スイッチング素子側へ与え、かつ直流を遮断するフローティング素子と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一つに記載の溶断装置。 - 前記溶断刃から放射される赤外線を検出する赤外線検出手段と、
該赤外線検出手段にて検出された赤外線の強度に基づいて、前記交番磁界の強さ又は周波数を制御する手段と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一つに記載の溶断装置。 - 前記交番磁界を生成するための交番電流を出力するようにしてあり、
更に、前記交番電流を検出する交番電流検出手段と、
前記交番磁界を生成するための交番電流を検出する交番電流検出手段と、
該交番電流検出手段にて検出された交番電流の大きさに基づいて、前記交番磁界の強さ又は周波数を制御する手段と
を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一つに記載の溶断装置。 - 被溶断物を溶断する導電性の溶断刃と、出力軸を有するモータと、該出力軸の回転力によって、前記溶断刃を所定方向へ移動させる送り機構とを備える溶断装置において、
前記モータの出力軸及び前記送り機構との間に介装された部材に、前記モータの出力軸及び前記送り機構間に働くトルクによって生じたひずみを検出するひずみ検出手段と、
該ひずみ検出手段の検出結果に基づいて、前記モータの回転を制御する手段と
を備えることを特徴とする溶断装置。
