Abstract

【課題】溶解性の高いエステル系ポリマーを含み、厚み方向の複屈折率Δｎｘｚ（＝ｎｘ－ｎｚ）が大きい複屈折フィルムを実現する。　【解決手段】本発明に用いられるエステル系ポリマーは式（I）で表わされる繰り返し単位を少なくとも有する。Ａ、Ｂはスチルベン基に置換する置換基で、それぞれ独立して水素原子、ハロゲン原子、炭素数１～６のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。ａ、ｂはＡ、Ｂの置換数で、それぞれ独立して０～４のいずれかの整数。Ｒ１は水素原子、炭素数１～１０の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。Ｒ２は炭素数２～１０の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基。Ｒ３～Ｒ６はそれぞれ独立して水素原子、ハロゲン原子、炭素数１～６の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。ｎは２以上の整数。
