Abstract

【課題】溶解性の高いエステル系ポリマーを含み、厚み方向の複屈折率Δnxz(=n-n)が大きい複屈折フィルムを実現する。 【解決手段】本発明に用いられるエステル系ポリマーは式(I)で表わされる繰り返し単位を少なくとも有する。A、Bはスチルベン基に置換する置換基で、それぞれ独立して水素原子、ハロゲン原子、炭素数1~6のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。a、bはA、Bの置換数で、それぞれ独立して0~4のいずれかの整数。Rは水素原子、炭素数1~10の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。Rは炭素数2~10の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基。R~Rはそれぞれ独立して水素原子、ハロゲン原子、炭素数1~6の直鎖もしくは分枝のアルキル基、置換もしくは無置換のアリール基。nは2以上の整数。
