Abstract

　スメクタイト又は雲母と、前記スメクタイト又は雲母に、オニウムカチオンによって吸着している、下記式（Ｉ）等で表される化合の分子と、高分子材料と、を含有する光学異方性膜、ならびに該光学異方性膜を有する偏光板及び偏光板である。式中、Ａ１及びＡ２はそれぞれ、－Ｏ－、－ＮＲ－（Ｒは水素原子又は置換基を表す）、－Ｓ－及び－ＣＯ－からなる群から選ばれる基を表し；Ｚは、ベンゾ縮環又はナフト縮環を形成するのに必要な有機残基を表し；Ｒ１はそれぞれ、置換基を表し；ｍは０～４の整数であり、Ｒ２及びＲ３はそれぞれ、水素原子又は電子求引性の置換基を表す。但し、Ｒ、Ｒ１、Ｒ２又はＲ３は、オニウムカチオンを少なくとも１つ有する。
