Abstract
Description
特許文献3に記載の発明は、平面内で渦巻き状に巻回された導電性の巻き線を選択的に短絡または開放させて構成される。この巻線と対向するようにICカードを配置したとき、巻線が短絡状態であると、ICカードのアンテナ部と巻線とが磁気的に結合し、ICカードのアンテナ共振周波数にズレが生じる。これによりICカードの通信は阻止され、記録されている情報が不正に読取られることが防止される。そして、巻線が開放状態であると、カード情報の授受が行われる。

このような構成を有する本発明の非接触ICカード用通信制御体100の開発にあたり、発明者は、Suica(商標)およびICOCA(商標)に利用されているソニー株式会社製RC-S853/854(以下、便宜上「第1タイプ」と称する)と、QUICPay(商標)に利用されているソニー株式会社製RC-S860(以下、便宜上「第2タイプ」と称する)とに対応可能な通信制御体を想定した。これらの非接触ICカードはいずれも厚さ0.8mm以下であり、ISO18092に準拠している。
枠102には厚さ35μmの銅箔を用い、非接触ICカードにあわせて86mm×54mmの外形を有するものとした。ここでは、枠102の枠幅W1およびW2を外端から中央に向かって3mm幅から1mmずつ広げていき、非接触ICカードと重畳させた状態でカードリーダから磁界を印加して、通信が不可能となる枠幅を見出した。なお、枠幅W1とW2とは常に同一の値とした。
しかしながら、これは、非接触ICカード50を利用したいときには銅板枠102と引き離さなければならないことを意味しており、非接触ICカード本来の利便性が大きく損なわれてしまうことになる。
このとき、枠幅13mm以上という条件を満たしていれば、先の実験からわかるように、通信制御体100をカードリーダ60に近い側に配置する(図5(a)を参照)か、非接触ICカード50をカードリーダ60に近い側に配置する(図5(b)を参照)かによって非接触ICカードの読取りの可否が変化することはない。
図8に示すのは、本発明の第二の実施例による非接触ICカード用通信制御体である。この通信制御体110はアルミ箔からなり、非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナに対応した枠形状に形成される。枠103の枠幅W3は全体として一定であり、コイルアンテナよりも両側に0.5mmずつ以上広いものとする。また、枠103の一部には切断部20が設けられている。切断部20の幅d2は、例えば1mm程度とする。
したがって、タイプA、タイプB、第1タイプおよび第2タイプの非接触ICカードのいずれであっても、コイルアンテナよりも両側に0.5mm以上ずつ幅を広げた枠104であれば、非接触ICカードとカードリーダとの間での通信を阻止できることがわかった。
図12に示すのは、本発明の第三の実施例による非接触ICカード用通信制御体である。この通信制御体120はアルミ箔からなり、非接触ICカードの外形と同一の、86mm×54mmの外形を有する枠形状に形成される。枠105の枠幅W5およびW6は常に同一の値であり、枠105の外端から21mm以下とする。また、枠105の一部には切断部20が設けられており、その幅d3は、例えば1mm程度とする。
したがって、非接触ICカード通信制御体120の枠105の枠幅W5およびW6もこれに倣うものとする。ただし、非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナの全体が枠105と重畳する配置となることが必要である。
第一乃至第三の実施例で示した通信制御体100、110および120は、枠101、103および105を別の構成としても実現することができる。すなわち、例えば2つのコ字型の非磁性金属を開口部を対向させて配置し、開口部先端が離れているか、あるいは連結しているかにより、非接触ICカードとカードリーダとの間の通信を可能または不可能とすることができる。この場合、切断部を閉塞するための切片は不要である。
カードホルダ130は、背面板140と前面板160とを、前述した4つのタイプのうちいずれかの非接触ICカードを1枚挿入可能なポケットを形成するように組み合わせて構成される。前面板160を透明とすることによって、挿入される非接触ICカードが視認しやすくなる。これは、非接触ICカードが顔写真付きの社員証である場合などに有用である。また、前面板160の下部に図示するようなスリットを設ければ、カードの出し入れが容易になる。
なお、各実施例において、カードリーダからの磁界強度は7.5A/mとした。これは、一般にこの種のカードリーダが発する磁界強度が概ね4.5A/mから10A/mの範囲内にあることに鑑みて、代表的に中間値をとったものである。また、切断部は枠の殿位置に設けられてもよく、例えば非接触ICカードに内蔵されているICチップと重なる位置にあってもよい。
Claims (7)
- ISO18092に準拠した厚さ0.8mm以下の非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを選択的に可能または不可能とすることのできる非接触ICカード用通信制御体であって、
切断部を有する非磁性金属枠と、前記切断部を任意に閉塞する非磁性金属切片とを備え、
前記非接触ICカードと重畳するように配置したとき、前記非磁性金属枠と前記非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナとは一部または全部が重合され、
前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りのために強度7.5A/mの磁界が印加されたとき、
前記切断部が開放状態であれば前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを可能とし、前記切断部が閉塞状態であれば前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを不可能とすることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - ISO18092またはISO14443に準拠した厚さ0.8mm以下の非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを選択的に可能または不可能とすることのできる非接触ICカード用通信制御体であって、
切断部を有する非磁性金属枠と、前記切断部を任意に閉塞する非磁性金属切片とを備え、
前記非磁性金属枠は、前記非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナに対応した平面形状で前記コイルアンテナよりも両側に0.5mm以上ずつ広く、且つ前記非接触ICカードの外形から中心に向かって21mm以下の枠幅を有し、前記非接触ICカードと重畳するように配置したとき、前記非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナが前記非磁性金属枠の前記枠幅内に位置し、
前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りのために強度7.5A/mの磁界が印加されたとき、
前記切断部が開放状態であれば前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを可能とし、前記切断部が閉塞状態であれば前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを不可能とすることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - 請求項1または2に記載の非接触ICカード用通信制御体において、
前記非磁性金属枠の前記切断部は前記非磁性金属切片を摺動させて閉塞されることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - 請求項1または2に記載の非接触ICカード用通信制御体において、
前記非磁性金属切片は前記非磁性金属枠の前記切断部の上部または下部に前記非磁性金属枠と平行に配置され、
前記切断部は前記非磁性金属切片の押下または押上により閉塞されることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - ISO18092またはISO14443に準拠した厚さ0.8mm以下の非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読み取りを選択的に可能または不可能とすることのできる非接触ICカード用通信制御体であって、
コ字型形状を有する2つの非磁性金属片を備え、
前記2つの非磁性金属片は、コ字型の開口部が対向するように配置され、前記2つの非磁性金属片が第1の位置にある場合にはそれぞれ独立した2つの非磁性金属片となり、第2の位置にある場合には一体として1つの非磁性金属枠を形成し、
前記2つの非磁性金属片を非接触ICカードと重畳するように配置したとき、前記2つの非磁性金属片と前記非接触ICカードに内蔵されたコイルアンテナとは全部が重合され、
前記2つの非磁性金属片が前記第1の位置にある場合には前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを可能とし、前記第2の位置にある場合には前記非接触ICカードに記録された情報の読取りを不可能とすることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の非接触ICカード用通信制御体において、
前記非磁性金属はアルミ、金、白金、銀または銅のいずれかであることを特徴とする非接触ICカード用通信制御体。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の非接触ICカード用通信制御体を備えたカードホルダであって、前記カードホルダに収納される非接触ICカードと前記非接触ICカード用通信制御体とが接面するように構成されたことを特徴とする非接触ICカードホルダ。
